In answer to your questions: 1)NONE, EVERYONE, should be looking at the news with an open mind and a critical eye to the data and make their own determination of the valid nature of the writing. Op Editorials by outside 3rd party people that are asked a question with the request to write up their view on the stated question from their professional view should be read on CNN, Fox News, BCC, etc. Educate yourself on what is being seen by professionals so you can better respond. 2) Stated for Truth, to deny reading a story because of where it is posted leaves you open to ignorance of what is being discussed. 3) Quoted for Truth, If one wants to be as balanced as possible and invest in the best person possible be it in business, politics or life, one does need to keep an open mind to both sides of the debate. 4) Correct, One can NEVER have a truly informed, educated thought if one does not read and educate themselves about both sides of the coin. 5) I truly get the point you are making, we are a MULTI-CULTURAL Society that has much to benefit everyone if only leadership, businesses embrace the differences with respect and humility of agreeing to disagree, yet finding middle ground to work together for the betterment of society. We are currently moving IMHO to a very splintered extremist viewpoint by not listening to all and yet then working to reach a middle ground of acceptance. Our History is filled with extremist hate and destruction of society by going to one side or another.

I totally get what you are saying about V8's, yet with the performance that is being delivered in V6 and 4 bangers, it is amazing to hear coworkers that say they wonder why people want V8's. Usually they are clueless about auto's, torque and towing along with true performance. In Ice, I take a V8 every day over smaller motors.

You are so true, it is amazing the personality even between my electric drills that I have. Electric has just as much personality as ICE. We just have to have open minds, eyes, ears to see the differences. Funny thing is over the holidays was doing some home repair and I have two identical 18v cordeless drills and one tends to have a grunt noise to it where the other is much higher pitched whir noise. Both have never failed me and yet while they look identical and both do their job, they clearly have their own personality of noises. lol

Everyone liberal or conservative is biased, but as an editorial, this educated Market strategist investment person makes some very valid points. Ignore the CNN name and read what this investment advisor is stating about business. Some very valid points.

I am surprised by the 33% down for Rav4 hybrid when the rest of the CUV hybrids are doing well and the Rav4 ICE is up almost 12%.

Yes some of this is UAW Union positioning, but most of it is the fact that the economy is past due for a serious correction. I would plan to see layoffs and reductions later this year from all the auto OEMs and their suppliers.

Excited to see what GM shows off for EVs this year and to get to sit in and test drive the MB EQC.

Any vehicles used for business can qualify for the business tax deduction, you just have to clearly document it or have the business buy it and have your accountant properly apply the deductions against the business asset usually. I strongly suggest you talk to your accountant to learn specifically how to apply the business deductions against the auto cost.

Totally agree that the powertrain needs to work for what is envio friendly. Washington state is all Hydro, Solar and Wind, so power is cheap and ultra clean, so running EV's make the cities quiet and cleaner. China only recently joined the worlds biggest hydro production with the completion of some massive dams in the last 20 years, they still also suck down the largest amount of Coal, so rolling Coal Power Production with no exhaust filtering is pretty dirty there. @dwightlooi Really like your engine thoughts here, so in adding to @Drew Dowdell questions in regards to the 6.8 Liter size. Why only 11.5:1 compression and not go higher and require the Premium? After all Europe points to the benefits of running the cleaner higher octane with the power/performance benefits from premium.

LOL, New Year, did not even think of our Amish Loving @ocnblu who I hope is having a great New Year. I was truly thinking of what I am doing with my Suburban. Since there is no new cars that excite me outside of Cadillac and fit me outside of SUVs, I look at the wide range of cool trucks and SUVs that can be had at a cheap price if your looking for a project.

The same could be said about taking an old rusty ICE auto and spend 10's of thousands on rebuilding it from the ground up including customer exhaust, suspension, fuel tank etc. It is the passion we have for keeping new and old auto's around but in something totally different. It is why I have my 1994 GMC SLE Suburban, went from stock, to performance ICE, then performance CNG and now will go to EV as I will have a long range Suburban all Electric, room comfy and not having to deal with all the bloody nanny devices. Seeing early 2000's or lat 1990's auto's that people have converted as they love the auto but want an electric powertrain. I truly believe GM push to have Electric motors with harness and battery packs you can buy to retro fit an ICE auto but just connecting the transmission to the electric motor will be an exciting move for them in the Crate Motor area.
