Afterthoughts: The Joys and Perils of Replacing Headlights
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Opinion
The ranger oil filter change mess is gonna I bet make many at their local grease monkey ignore putting back in those 3 clips and just let it flap so they can easily get to the oil filter. I wonder if the local oil change places will charge more for this. Ford you really F'd up the oil filter change part. I can also see places leaving the filter in place and just changing the oil and still charging the customer for oil and filter. What a mess that is. Totally agree with Drew, engine bay pressure washes are awesome for keeping that area clean and easy to work on. Awesome job Bill, changing stuff is never easy, but there is immense self satisfaction in doing the job yourself.- 10 replies

Tesla quietly raises Model-S and Model-X prices by $15,000 or more
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Tesla
I can fit into a model X and look fine but unlike the BOLT where I can leave the seat as is and get into the back still and sit for short trips, the Tesla X only has about 3 inches of leg room from the back of the front seat to the back seat cushion. No one can really sit behind me. I was very suprised by this, I will say, I was sold on the Tesla X when I test drove it, it is wicked fast even in base model and so smooth to drive. The whole can I fit in the front and get out and sit in the back is why I am so excited about the Rivian and Atlis EVs. Something that can handle big people. -

As I posted when it was in Seattle 2 years ago, I actually fit better in the BOLT than the Tesla S. My wife says I look funny in the Tesla S with my knees by my shoulders. -
Cadillac News: Cadillac to be Center of GM's EV Push
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
Excitement! So cool that they have added some clarity to their EV strategy. Makes sense to start with Cadillac and push out from there. -
Tesla quietly raises Model-S and Model-X prices by $15,000 or more
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Tesla
WOW, While the technology is great and the speed is equally as great, for that price, I am still not impressed with the interiors of the Tesla S and X. Plus, while I can drive the auto's, no one can fit behind me as there is only 3 inches of room from the back of the front seat to the back seat, so no leg room. I acknowledge that I am not average size, but still for an EV, I am disappointed in the interior room of the Tesla S and X. -
I have to totally agree with you, that is a sexy convertible, something that has not excited me in a long time. Love the long hood and trunk. Very excited for you guys to report on this more.

I think this will be very doable for Rivian unlike Tesla attempting to rebuild how one builds cars, Rivian CEO as @Drew Dowdell has stated does not have the baggage of Musk or the Ego to boast crazy crap and he is on record that the reason they bought the Mitsubishi plant with parts center and paint shop was that it was already setup for auto production and they just had to adjust it for building their two products. Rivian CEO Robert 'RJ' Scaringe has stated that there is no reason to not use the knowledge of the existing auto companies on how they produce auto's every so many seconds. This acknowledgement tells me he will not make some of the Musk Mistakes that have delayed products rolling out.

Let me help you my friend with a superior looking pickup to that ugly Chevrolet one! An Electric GMC or Cadillac full size truck is what would keep me buying from GM!

I am in total agreement with you on this and am excited by what we will see. Hope @Drew Dowdell or @William Maley if they are there can get close to get us some good pics. -
Biggest shock would come if they announce a merge of equals. That would be the far out crazy big announcement. I expect they will announce that they are going to share and build all products including cars, trucks and SUV's in addition to all things commercial. Should prove interesting, think if Ford can get access to the Porsche / Audi EV 4 door Sedan what that could do for Lincoln. ?

I would totally agree, yet if I did have extra money that I could Gamble with, I would consider investing in this company.I like their concept and what they are wanting to achieve.

Common Peeps can invest in Atlis Motor Vehicles company here: https://www.startengine.com/atlis-motor-vehicles Seems they hit their Million Dollar Mark to get things started. Atlis original mockups truly copied Rivian too much. Glad they went with this instead.
