Well TACO has failed again, reset back to what it was before the trade war started. FAILURE as it has exposed how much our Auto Industry and especially as we move to EVs is reliant on specific items that China Totally Controls. For Trump, Resolving US-China Trade Fight Comes at a Cost Magnets, to the smallest transistor if the U.S. is not going to have to rely on China for various materials that they control the global supply on, then U.S. creativity will have to happen to get us to develop parts that do not use them. The auto industry is going to hurt at the incompetence of trade, Tariff Tuesday might be a good update @Drew Dowdell on the long list of auto parts / materials that the U.S. is reliant on from China and outside the U.S. OUCH This Company clearly points the blame at #47 Tariffs. Trump tariffs claim first major victim as auto giant files for bankruptcy

Scott Pelley delivered the 2025 commencement speech @ Wake University and it is an amazing listen. Just go to the 22 min mark to see his honorary award of doctorate or to 26 min mark for his speech. QUOTE: "Our sacred rule of law is under attack. Journalism is under attack. Universities are under attack. Freedom of speech is under attack, and insidious fear is reaching through our schools, our businesses, our homes and into our private thoughts." "Power can rewrite history with grotesque false narratives," Pelley warned, according to the HuffPost. "They can make criminals heroes and heroes criminals. Power can change the definition of the words we use to describe reality. Diversity is now described as illegal. Equity is to be shunned. Inclusion is a dirty word." EDIT: I have been thinking on this since I watched it originally, I have rewatched it a second time with a focus on the audience. It is interesting to me the following observation. I have always believed education is the great equalizer that allows people on both sides of the political spectrum, religious spectrum, legal spectrum to have intelligent conversations and when they do not agree on a point, can at least agree to disagree and still have a meal together. My observation is that 1/3rd of the sitting students who are graduating have a I disagree with this guy 100%, another 1/3rd is I totally agree with this guy and the final 1/3rd is I agree with some, but not all. In this, I see critical thinking skills in about 2/3rds of the kids and about 1/3rd that seem to just be going along with situation as once they get their diploma they are out of there. It is interesting as I feel this speech is a call to action be you agree or not with him, it is a call to action to stand up for what one believes. I hope that more folks stand up for what our constitution stands for and help get us back on the right footing in this global multi-cultural world we live in so that we can get back to our jobs, making money and finding a long-term solution to how folks can immigrate to this great country and work contributing. It is time for folks to stand up and let us get back to the pleasures of our auto driven world imho.

That is what I love about the Kia, Hyundai, Genesis EVs is they use traditional door handles on the inside. Makes it a natural nice experience. -
Yup, sorry, 80%, but still it is way more than what Cadillac is doing and I feel they need to do better in this regards. Will edit my post to reflect the 80%

There is lots to like here, performance, comfort and that Cadillac has moved away from their electric charge door that moved down and has seemed to be glitchy at times to a normal opening door. Two things I do not like, lack of AA/AC and the interior color choices. Why Cadillac, why can you not have more warm inviting color options for the interior. The black and gray thing is so overdone, and this blue accent is just cold and NOT inviting to me for a luxury product line. Edit: Adding a third thing I am surprised by is the slow charging of DC charging. if Kia can give you a 80% recharge in 18 minutes, then why have such a slow rate on a Luxury auto. 70 miles of range in 10 minutes, 140 in 20 and so pretty much 38 minutes to get to the 275 miles they are stating. Cadillac, hello McFly, wake up and stop equaling Tesla, better them!

Sadly, I think both are bad and good, really depends on where you are going and the people as I have had both ends of the experience spectrum with these two services.

Very interesting as it starts with one model and expands over the last year. I see no problem with traffic circles if people understand how to merge, but the bigger problem especially here in Washington is that we allow 80 languages with state interpreters paid by tax dollars to read the questions to folks and these folks I really do not think understand the real world way of driving, so they stop at yield signs and hold up traffic rather than proper merging into the circles. This goes with my feeling that driving is a privilege earned, not a right and as such, if one cannot communicate with police, medical, and fire, let alone read the street signs, they should not be getting a driver's license. Then you have the so-called calming speed bumps that are put in high traffic areas and all I ever see is people aggressively speed between bumps. Accidents are far worse here than even in the circles. This is pretty spot on I feel: https://ww2.motorists.org/issues/traffic-calming/problems/

We'll seems the first of many auto lines are being idled due to rare earth material restrictions from China against the world. Mercedes has halted their A-Class and B-Class, the compact SUV GLA, the all-electric EQA and the new CLA that are built at the Rastatt plant. China’s rare earth restrictions halt first auto industry production lines Terrible reality TV star at that and a convicted business fraud and six-time business failure based on his bankrupt nature to not have to pay people who built things for him. As such on top of his other convictions, the worst ever leader of this country and a pathetic example of morality, integrity and clearly clueless on how much he is hurting this country and the auto industry on top of the environment.
