According to the story as I stated, they took out the loaner vehicles and registered to the dealers to go with true VIN registered sales. After all it is based on a true percentage and those BMW and MB auto's do not sell as many as other auto companies. So the percentage is higher for a smaller pool than say those that bought a Toyota, Chevy etc. If you followed the link, you will see each % for each auto that is actually traded back in and while the #1 auto was 8%, the rest were between 3 to 7%. Still small amount but I figure the registration is what it is to the whole pool sold and in the case of say the E-Class, if you did it for global sales not just US, it would not even be on the list considering how many E-Class are sold globally. US market is just so much smaller. Having had big and small dogs, they always got along fine, never had a problem. I think most dogs get along fine no matter the size unless the dog is not very socialized and as such tends to be a problem dog. More uncommon than common.

Subaru trademarks "Evoltis" for First Hybrid Subarus has filed with the US Patent and Trademark office for the auto name Evoltis. This will be their first Hybrid based on the Toyota Prius powertrain. Many are hoping that unlike Toyota, Subaru will do their due diligence to build it as an AWD auto. Autoblog story

Tesla Model 3 Shut Down for a Week! Seems Buzzfeed website just released the news that the Tesla 3 will have a week delay just as it had it's first week of 2,500 production built model 3 done. This is according to the CEO to make adjustments in the software of the automation robots to allow for production to increase to hit their stated 5,000 per week goal. Seems more robots was not better than more humans in building the auto's. The story goes on to say workers will have to use a week of PTO or go unpaid as the line is updated. According to the Story, Musk posted on April 1st that the company had gone out of business and he was wandering Palo Alto drinking Teslaquilla. ? Seems that the lackluster quality of the Model 3, production slowness, investigations into accidents all have led to this shutdown to tweak the manufacturing process. This makes one think about Musk's original comments when he said they did not need an Alpha or Beta test of the production line to begin building and selling Model 3's. OOPS, Guess that did not work out like planned!

Cars Buyers cannot wait to dump! Worst Purchase ever based on a review of the "iSeeCars.com web site looking at Vins that were relisted between 4 months and 1 year at auto dealers. According to the story, new cars that had fewer than 4000 miles which usually is program auto's at dealerships was excluded from this, looking at true auto's bought new and then traded in. FORBES 11 auto's buyers cannot wait to dump! Seems these auto's are the most common bought and then dumped in the first year. #11 - Nissan Versa #10 - Subaru WRX #9 - Chrysler 200 #8 - Mercedes-Benz E-Class #7 - BMW 4 Series #6 - BMW X3 #5 - Dodge Dart #4 - Nissan Versa Note #3 - Mercedes-Benz C-Class #2 - BMW 5 series #1 - BMW 3 Series Amazing that 8% of the #1 auto are traded back in within the first year of ownership and on average all these auto's take a 20% hit in value. OUCH! ?

Very true just as we had a period of time about 30yrs as some still rode horses into town and do even today in some west coast places. I expect ICE, Hybrid and EV to co-exist for a long while as the transfer to EV does it's thing. It will be interesting to watch countries where ICE is banded now or going to be by 2035. We can learn to not make the same mistakes as our own country changes.

Totally understandable that they would start with the XC40. Looking forward to seeing what all else they bring out. Hopefully all 5 EV's will make it in roll out in 2019. ? I wonder how sales will do with knowing a year from now you will have EV options. This could make 2018 a very ugly year for sales.

Train them to lift the seat, do their business and flush and I am all set to have dogs again. Grew up with 3 black labs and 1 chocolate lab and a mutt that was my sisters dog. Love the dogs over cats, but have decided I like my road trips and travel over dealing with dogs, cleanup and boarding. Cute babies, especially the one giving you a razzberry! ?

But they are not potty trained!

Totally understandable, as UK moves to go really green on power and environment, diesel is going to die. Hybrid / EV is the future.

My gut tells me this will cannibalize sales of existing AMG models. They are splitting hairs of a limited group of enthusiast. AMG is a premium brand that sells to a set group of people and if they do this, I suspect you will see some models drop in sales and sold into this auto, but no real growth.

@oldshurst442 Yup, EV West has been doing conversions with Tesla Power trains. http://www.evwest.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=476&osCsid=9e6h3nv5si1l4do6uo7vio1om7

True, I agree as you say not the full reason of why I believe we are starting a Bear Market, but it is one of many noticeable check boxes. Dell Technology pretty much has made all travel restricted as skype meetings / webex sessions are to be used with customers unless they are certain prime top 10% accounts then you can travel, but even they are have restrictions. I have also seen we are now on 5yr internal refresh of hardware versus 3yrs only a year ago. Many of our customers have informed us that they are moving to 5yr refresh cycles. Then you have the loosening of financial markets, the reduction in cash reserves that banks and investment firms have to hold onto. etc. etc. etc. Like you there are many signs that we are going into a slowing market or bear market world wide and that will have effects. Even in China, things are slowing, course Trade wars do not help either. Interesting times we are in.

Tesla has started to sell their power trains to EV conversion companies so there are many places you can now buy the AWD Tesla system with controller modules and convert any auto you want with a Tesla Power Train and Tesla Battery pack.

OK, found it on their site and they truly say their tech is free. https://www.tesla.com/blog/all-our-patent-are-belong-you So anyone just like that Chinese company can use their tech to build EVs and sell them and no ability for Tesla to sue them. This is based on the hope that more companies building EV auto's would push Tesla auto's allowing them to make coin!
-
Totally agree, I have seen that many companies both in the High Tech sector and outside but use high tech products are slowing purchasing and drawing out change and investment. This has me seeing a slow down also. I truly believe we are looking at the start of a Bear Market globally.

2019 Camaro is ASS and like Honda had to do a 6 month refresh, I suspect Chevy will have to do the same! Terrible

I thought that while it is in public domain, there is also still a small royalty that has to be paid or am I missing something else?

Lincoln News: Rumorpile: Lincoln's Plan To Make It Big In China
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Lincoln
Totally makes sense, late to the party but makes sense as I am sure they can make more profit there than in the US if they do it right!
