I don't think you want an SS version of the Trailblazer since its basically a Colorado SUV that has been tuned for off-roading.
@William Maley Thanks for that update, bummer, I was hoping for a modern take to replace the old one.

Trailblazer? Can we get a new SS AWD Model please?

S Class coupe? That's a beast of a car.. Or a variation of a Contiental from Bentley.
Continental GT starts at $198,000 and the S Class Coupe starts at $121,000 and a S63 Coupe is $163,000. Those are cars built for larger people with sporty intentions/GT intentions.
Appreciate the expanded options, but for me those auto's I just do not find attractive. The Aston Martin on the other hand is all kinds of sexy!

Cool,
Thanks for expanding on your Lease explanation.

So there is this web site that covers 25 cars inspired by airplanes in the US.
Talk about some lovely rides and concepts.

But are you thinking about the Mustang fighter that inspired the Mustang car?

Coupes Suck, they are so anti big guys.
Since Cadillac no longer builds any 2 door coupes, my next choice would be to squeeze myself into the Aston Martin Vantage.
I do agree with Olds, no price max, then the DB11

Does not meet price requirements, nor is is sport coupe or GT coupe.
Tesla S P100D is $158,200 before federal $7,500 reduction ending at $150,500 so price is there, but coupe can be 4 door or 2 door so how does this not meet what you have stated. You did not state traditional 2 door coupe only. Remember everyone seems to be on the stupid coupe design for every auto now, even CUV's like the butt ugly BMW X6.

Tesla P100D please.

Also guys, you should know that leasing actually works even BETTER for people who drive a lot of miles annually.
Actually that is only as long as you stay within the contract of 12K or 15K miles. Otherwise, the cost is incredibly expensive. Example is if I leased my Escalade for 15,000 miles, I would have had to pay an extra $3750 per year as during the first 4 years I averaged 30,000 miles a year driving. So the first 15,000 would have been covered under the lease at $1099.00 per month on the 15K year deal for 36 months. But then I would have had to pay up another $11,250 at the end of the lease and go into another lease. At least my escalade I own and now that I do not drive it that much, since it is a 2006, 10 years later, it is now considered low mileage as I only use it for personal long distance road trips. So about 10K a year and it is paid for but I have total comfort and luxury for my road trips.
End result is Leasing works for the Right Use Case.

VW going cheap and mass market is a failure waiting to happen.
Product that drives passion is what they need. Their current product line is bland, boring and overall Meh, forgettable. That is the real problem, not pricing and mass quantity.
This plan is a failure in the making.

I'm curious what kind of range depletion there is when you go balls out for just 1 0-60 run or 1/4 mile pass in a car like this.
OK, Had to go find this and sure enough on their Forum about Ludicrous mode they do chat about battery hit. If I am reading the forum right, each 0-60 Ludicrous mode run take 13% of the battery.
https://forums.tesla.com/forum/forums/ludicrous-mode-there-more-room-improve-acceleration
So that means you get 7 runs at 0-60 before you have 9% battery left to limp over to the Supercharger and recharge.
Also found this how the Tesla stands up against the other supercars in price and performance. Pretty Sweet, great Bang for the Buck!
Just realized that BMW made it on the list but not MB. Guess the AMG label is not able to break 4 seconds in a 0-60 run in a 4 door sedan.

Agreed, I would also love to know just how much of a hit the Ludicrous mode takes on the battery.

Ugh, Apple is what I leave in the garbage. Stuff is terrible, lousy interface and just not enterprise friendly. But then they did make their product for those that want to be directed in what they can do.
I will stick with Intel based systems running windows or Linux. Real Enterprise working machines.

Hahaha right?! Pretty absurd price jump if you ask me.. But they must know people are willing to pay the difference.
Those customers are the ones with little itty bitty wee wee and so need to make up for it by being able to go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. After all once they shoot their electric load they are done, nothing more.

Yes, Yes she is!
Plus gotta love the Asian rim models for electric auto's!

I hear in the SouthEast US, baking is a popular way to pay for a new car every 6 weeks.

Interesting, the first of the Germans to take on Tesla and a possible ride to dethrone the MB S-Class.
This is very interesting indeed. I expect this will do well in the limited high end sedans.

I can see the day where cars are never sold again, you pay for the right to drive it and after so long, you can then drop to month by month or drive it into the dealer, they put the car into a special recycling slot and out the other end comes your new auto you just ordered. No wait, custom order, custom build auto's on demand.
Reminds me of the scene in Minority Report.

Audi of washington has a tone of lease specials on the whole product line, example is their AWD A6 on lease special of $519 per month for 36 months for 7500 miles a year.
To me that is a crazy that you would spend that kind of money with so few miles allowed and be stuck with it for 3 years.
I understand the leasing from a business standpoint and being able to drive new every 2-3 years. But I hate payments and would rather buy what I like and drive it way longer.
Then again, I am the exception as I still drive my 1994 GMC SLE Suburban as well as all my other fine auto's I own.

The design does look better in person than in photographs. And as to what car you should drive...people have negative comments on every car. My son drives a Ford escape and people say that is a feminine car also. I want a WRX but people say I should not drive one because I am not Asian and I am over thirty. Drive what you want, I say....
I have to say your post really got me to laughing as last night I was having dinner with some folks and both couples asked me for input on non-american awd auto's, I mentioned subaru and both wifes said they are not driving a Lesbo sedan. Talk about shocking. I asked them why and their reasoning just went south of the ignorance line. Amazing the stupidity of people. After all they both said all they see at work is their lesbian coworkers driving the subaru auto's and they do not want others to think they are lesbian.
I told them they were being ignorant and childish about that assumption they have made. I also told them that I have been told the same thing kind as I have also heard that I should not drive it cause I am not asian.
I agree, drive what you want and like, not what other narrow minded or closed minded individuals say.

Nope. 40 years at the top of the luxury sedan segment, 40 years as the gold standard. The others have tried and failed, Infiniti left that segment years ago, Jaguar might leave it, and Audi would dump the A8 if it wasn't for China because they A8 is tanking here and in Europe. As crossovers keep eating at sedan sales there will be fewer big sedans left on the market, only the strong will survive. Much like luxury roadsters, the SL is the last one standing. Cadillac, Lexus and Jaguar all scrapped theirs.
WOW, You really are a horse with blinders and no the S-Class has not been the leader for 40 years.

You know this as way to many knowledgable people here have posted picture proof of how terrible the S-Class was even into the late 90's. The last 15-20 years yes they have led, but not 40!

Interesting is the Autocar story that is saying VW is realigning their whole company to focus on alternative energy auto's and will allow them to focus on Hybrids and EVs having the most of any company by 2020.

VW to show off 225 mile range EV auto at Paris Auto show, clearly EV's will be center stage and a serious focus for the show.
Interesting is that VW is saying a 15 min charge time for their new EV. Based on their 800 volt charging system that is going into the Porsche Mission E.
To quote:
" Speaking to German newspaper WirtschaftWoche (Industry and Economy Week) recently, Volkswagen chairman Herbert Diess said the car would have the outside dimensions of the Golf but offer the interior space of the larger Passat. It will be the first car built on the company’s latest MEB chassis, specifically designed for all electric cars like the BUDD-e concept that appeared at the Consumer Electronics Show last January. Diess says it should be market ready in late 2018 or early 2019. "

So wonder how much of this was made up before reports come out about presales and the need to roll the sales back.
