  1. Glad he got a GM car even if you played the guilt card. He will like it and be glad he got and listened to you. They are a GREAT car. And can we please have some photos of this beauty I want to see the new 17 inch chrome wheels!
  2. Lucky man, tell me how you like it. Anyways back on topic.
  3. Either would be a good camera. But I shoot Pentax. I have good luck with them and I have been loyal to them. I currently shoot with a K100D and K10D. I also have a fleet of manual and autofocus 35mm stuff. Might I suggest a new Pentax K7D, I am drooling over those.

    Tough Love

Thanks for the info, and yes sorry back to that sweet a$$ Camaro some lucky officer gets to drive!
  5. The G8 had both, I do believe. I am going to have to look into this as well. Your are correct it makes a huge difference. I can get the seat just right (all the way down that is) in my SLE without "laying back".
  6. The 2005 SLE has an oil change and winter check over this Friday. I will have some more time to shoot with the salesman so I hopefully will know more, and so will he.
  7. I heard a rumor back in July the police department in my city was going from P71 Crown Vic's to 9C1 Impala's. I was out for a walk and saw my first officer in a 2010 (no rear pillar badge), now I have to keep an eye out for them and the Vic's along with the few Expeditions they have. I wonder if they will swap for the new Caprice when it comes out? Anyways I am happy the cops, are now driving Chevys. Also while on the walk spotted a fresh (with window sticker in it) White G8 V6 driven by a young couple.
  8. Look'n good can't believe that it is the same car! (The wheels prove it tho!)

    Tough Love

I am a little slow and don't live in a "big city" or urban area, can someone bring me up to speed on ACE? Thanks in advance.
  10. Nice looking Nova!
  11. Thanks guys, I just HAVE never seen one before.
  12. Saw this... I have NO IDEA what it is... So can someone tell me what this is?
  13. I would love to... But I don't have the time! When the racing starts make sure you post up the photos/vids tho! Keep us all updated. Best of Luck, this is going to be really cool for all involved.
  14. Tough choice. If money is tight the best option is to keep the Fleetwood. Those B-bodies with 350's should run forever. The car is in such great shape, stick some money in it to keep it running and get it up to par. (You won't be sorry you did.) I would save your money and wait until times are better for you/your family to take on another car payment. (Wonder why I had a 1990 GP as a daily driver in my fleet until 2008? Because it was way cheaper than getting something new.) I think sticking money into a well cared for used car when money is tight makes more sense than another payment. Keep the Fleetwood as a daily until you feel comfortable and your situation is such you can take on a payment, no problem. Then enjoy it for a toy and get a new GM car. Sorry, a new car would be great I know, but that doesn't make any sense for you, in my view. (Nor me.) Best of luck with your choice.
  15. That would be interesting to find out as well.
  16. I'll take that Ventura or '74 Goat!
  17. I understand what your saying, but I fit like a glove in my 2005 SLE and if I was over another inch or two taller it would not work for me. I am just happy on "paper" it should have some extra headroom. I fit good in a G8 better than I did in my '05 at least. Extra height doesn't automatically mean extra room.
  18. Well I hate to say it Turd drivers have NO room to talk. A Caprice will get way better fuel economy therefore having a smaller carbon footprint. And for the Prius drivers, let just not go there.
  19. Flex Fuel was offered on the Coupe only with the 3.5L V6.
  20. 2006-2008 Silver Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (factory chrome wheels) A few moments later... 2003 Dark Red Chevrolet Corvette 50th Anniversary Edition Coupe
  21. I know but I hardly have enough headroom in mine without a sunroof. So the extra space is welcome. It is a big car but not nearly as big as I feared. I just needed something to "judge it" by thats why I did the comparo.
  22. Crunched some numbers tonight and found it is very close in size to my Bonneville. For comparison my 2005 Bonneville SLE (3.8L L36 V6) Height- 1438mm Width- 1885mm Length- 5146mm Weight- 1668kg Wheelbase- 2850mm 2010 Holden Statesman (6.0L L76 V8) Height- 1480mm Width- 1899mm Length- 5160mm Weight- 1884kg Wheelbase- 3009mm I was just wondering how huge this thing actually is, and this means it will fit in a garage no problem!
  23. Exactly kill the current Impala after this year and sell this sucker.
  24. Okay your right Rottweiler. Three tail lamps would be cool but whatever way it comes I will be happy.
  25. And two more small "cell phone" photos I found of the Caprice PPV...
