This isn't Turd bashing but more... Showing some buyers ignorance.
-
I hardly consider it bland looking. I think it is very sharp with alot of Impala and TL in it. Two very good things I like it from all angles including the rear. Love the new interior and hope the quality is as good as it looks. Plus add to that standard 6 spd. autos across the board you have a great thing going for you. Should go right after Camry and Accord sales if you ask. Hardly looks like a rental special as one person was saying above...

LS6 is right about that. The Silvy is treated as a total different model from its GMC brother. I am so very impressed after riding in a new Avalanche, Silverado and many Tahoe/Suburbans. All they need is the six speed autos to be perfect seriously. No suprise to me at all and Turds sit on lots collecting dust at they should the ugly pigs-ass truck with 3500 bucks on the hood. Looks like Toyota in Japan will be really pissed when not only the new Turd's aren't coming close to meeting sales goals basically half of what they wanted, and then having to give 3500 back on each one. Not to mention running way over budget on the plant, and guess what kind of trucks the workers at the plant were driving? Ford"s, Chevy's, GMC's and Dodge's funny how that works isn't it?

:rotflmao: That is true but wouldn't it be funny to see an HD truck tear the powerful Turd up? I would pay top dollar to see that!

This is good news just like the award the DTS won for highest customer satisfaction. Cadillac has great dealer's and excellent products. Lets just keep it that way... If I have heard it once I heard this a million times... "Any man that has ever dreamed... Dreamed of owning a Cadillac!"

It was a night like any-other an uneventful stroll around town and I saw it my first Turd up close. It was sitting in a driveway next to a Buick LaX... Intresting I thought. Anyways as I am snopping the owner walks out the front door and says so you like my truck. I say well I am in the market (lie) and just wanted to see one up close. The guy then being a 30 something macho man goes on to say that it'll out tow a Ford SD or Silverado HD. I soon find myself at a loss for words... I said oh really, he said yeah on youtube you see Tundra's (Turds) all the time strapped to a Chevy and each truck trys to pull the other damaging the drive-shaft and so on. I said sir could it really beat a new Ford F450 *having just seen my neighbor got a white King Ranch with tan trim and 19.5's on 'er. Actually the only Ford I would own aside of the new Taurus or 'Stang. It was a pretty sweet F450. I said you know the F450 has a 350hp turbo V8 ah he says my new Tundra is making 381, oh really I say thats alot. How is the fuel economy I said he gave me a blank stare. I said so attached to a new F450 your Turd would tow it away hitched back to back? Uh yeah man it has more horsepower. I laughed and said you must know your kidding. I said you don't realize it but your macho Turd can at the max tow like 10,000 lbs and an F450 can tow at least 16,000 *ball hitch* and 20K-24.5K with a goose-neck. Still think its a good idea? He said I'd kick his ass, I said well he will have 650lbft. of torque too. He still thought his Turd would out-tow the most beastly rig out there... Do owners really believe what they see on TV? I think so... What I was wondering Ford should do what Chevy did with the spinning tires except... Take a Turd with the big bad 5.7 chain it to the rear a F450 King Ranch and say go... Then watch the Tundra get pulled helplessly backward behind the F450 and the drive shaft snap. Then the ad to say yeah we know Toyota likes demonstrations but what they forget is that they don't build a heavy duty truck at any price. Even the top level Tundra is no match for a Super Duty. Sometimes it is better not to open your mouth. The leason watch what you say because there will always be something bigger and better in town. Ford Bold Moves. Then GM should do the same thing with a 3500 DRW 6.6L D-Max. I would love to see the Turd get owned. What is it called when two trucks are hitched together the oppisite way and try to pull the other truck? Maybe trucka-war? The ad would have to be something like a home-made simple somewhat redneck ad/commercial that would be cool wouldn't it or am I nuts?

Ah no-one knows what is happening with the G! I hope we get another large world class FWD to replace it for the Lucerne and DTS. Two sales sucesses fleet or not that cannot be ignored. Only around a 1/4 DTS's go to fleets that is not to bad.

Al Gore's son pulled over doing 100mph in a Prius...
gm4life replied to BigPontiac's topic in The Lounge
He certainly wasn't getting 50mpg. Drugs and a Prius, I hope Toyota advertises this. I am sure it took him at least an hour for that wimpy 4banger to climb to 100. -
I agree the wheels are a smidge small but still sharp looking. All the Hybrid really needs is a 6spd. automatic. Won't it have the $h!ty 4spd?
-
I think your right, but it has been talked about. Nothing would be more exciting than to see one true performance Buick much like Chevy has the Vette and SS Series. *Is Chevy suppose to be sales performance or zero to sixty numbers? Just checking!* I think a modern day GNX with the turbo D.I. V6 along with a new Regal, Riv and Enclave would be just the ticket to getting Buick back on the board. Lexus has a performance car the ugly SC. Sell only 1000 or 2000 each year sounds like a plan to me.
-
Front end is okay but the rear isn't right, doesn't ride high enough. I guess the two of them don't work together well. So over-all it is somewhat ugly, looks a smidge better than the new Honda CR-V not saying much. Ladies will love them I guess.
-
Toyota most always gets stuff right only 70,000 Turd's huh? Looks like your great plan has back-fired Toyota and have not read the truck market worth $h!. Good Luck selling a ugly looking just average product.
-
At least Bob says Buick has a future. Can we get the Park Avenue next spring please Bob? Please. I am begging you, along with the Enclave, Lucerne and Park Avenue you would have 3 cars introduced within 3 years all fresh. That is very good if you ask me, and your going after Lexus customers. As for the LaX rename it the Regal and start cranking out an excellent premium mid-size to large sedan at a fair price. Then bring me out my GNX the one with a direct injected 3.6L DOHC VVT V6 and strap a turbo on her and pair it to a new 6L80E automatic and your set. Next bring a RWD Riv based off the GNX and a drop-top of some sort.

Yup the man above me is so right. And the hybrid comes with all the nice features a stripper model and a 4 banger won't have. Works for me.
-
But if it has a moderate hybrid price that will help and greenies loving hearing the word hybrid.
-
I actually like it, it does not look bland, but the little wheels and blue-ish color will make a car look alot more boring than it really is. Overall tho it is a sharp looking car and should steal Camry sales!

Alliance of Auto Mfgrs call for more 'rational' CAFE rule
gm4life replied to Flybrian's topic in Industry News
Your so right who would have though 505hp and 26mpg. You must keep in mind cars like the Z06 are very light and sedans like say an STS are heavier by a significant amount. -
Also if becoming nu. 2 in sales is what needs to happen but with improved profitablity, aka no Avis and E rental vehicles and higher resale it is okay with me. Amazing what a change GM has made in the first six months of 2007, I think they deserve some credit. Being nu. 2 always used to bother me but not so much anymore.
-
The sales leader thing is starting to become less of an issue for me. Just wait for the new Malibu and as I was driving through Madison today I saw a new Saturn Vue! *Sharp looking but I would never want one!* Look Toyota moved some new Turds, good considering the GMT-900's are kicking the Tundra's and Seqouia's ass.
-
Who needs more than a 300hp Mustang GT? If you do go for the Shelby. The CTS has a 260hp 3.6 standard and an optional DI version cranking out over 300hp and with a new 2009ish CTS-V on the way who really needs more? If so call up Corsa run an exhaust and then do a computer re-program add a performance intake and cams if you wish with headers... I mean come on now. The new G coupe with 330hp is hardly what I would consider under-powered that is more than the last generation LS1 F-Body cars and they weren't exactly slow.
-
Ah I'll give 20K for one. No more, but I still do like them! I had a dealer in Iowa that said buy or lease any new 2007 Sebring Sedan with the 2.4L or 2.7L and you get a Chyrsler Crossfire to drive with free maintance for 3 years. Then just return it to the dealership at the end of the three year period. Not a bad promo eh?
-
Looks great are those factory chromed wheels? Or did someone do them after the car was built? I don't recall those being on the option list. Anyways sweet car and I love the rims, good luck with it sorry to hear about the accident!
-
They will age very well I believe, just like my Impala did, something my Olds Delta 88 did not do so well with.

1996 98 Regency vs. 1999 Intrigue GLS...
gm4life replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Heritage Marques
The 98 without a doubt, I like big FWD GM cars. Actually love them I have owned 4 and still currently own 2 out of the four. I like the 3.5L DOHC in'all but uhhh I don't like the looks as much as the 98 or say an Alero or Aurora. -
I think it is crazy to have multiple Vette's in a Corvette brand. That still is nuts.
