  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Believe it or not, most all (80-85) of the DTSs are retail, which actually surprised even me.. Enterprise did get a few, but there are not really any fleet orders for them (at least not yet) In my area, there are quite a few DTSs around here....
  3. Yes, the Lucerne is doing well. Though at the moment, production is slowing down, even though there are some dealers still ordering.... Production for both the Lucerne and the DTS are cutting back (no weekends-or overtime) I wouldn't worry though, as it is more new car product slowdown, and the updating of stuff for the 07s....
  4. Still think it has the better overall package, bland looks or not. I look at it as a smaller civic wagon. sitting inside, you really don't get that "i'm drving a covered lawnmower feeling" like you would in other cars. I have to agree with the F&F-it was quite nice.
  5. Ever notice it's like the same six or so people posting... Yep, Looking foward to the playoffs...and they seem to be finishing strong this year.. Go Hockeytown! I'm trying to think who they are going to play...I haven't been paying attention this week due to my working long hours...
  6. Agreed, and Agreed. Couldn't put it better myself.
  7. I don't see what the big deal is about the Fit. I like the Fit, I think it is a pretty good package for the price.( should be a little cheaper, though) I can see why it finished 1st. I've seen the Yaris, and I am not impressed-at all. The Rio doesn't look all that bad-the 5 door is growing on me. The current Aveo is a good car (though better gas milage would be nice) I think the 07 Aveo will be a solid car, right up there with the Fit. It may not be a Fit-beater-but it will be quite close. Since it is going to offer more bang-for-buck, I think the new Aveo will do quite well on its own... My choice-I could go with either a Fit or and Aveo. Or Both.
  8. Yes and no. The product has been getting better for years...yet, the still get kicked down... and GM continues to get better as time goes along. If the K/H family of cars in the 80s and 90s can get forgiveness...so can GM.
  9. Glad to hear she was ok...the Blazer looks pretty messed up...
  10. Horse$h!. They may have much, but cars like the Enclave and soltice, I simply can't see that happening. Unless GM goes under or falls apart....
  11. Yep. They may trip along the way, but things are going to get better...
  12. True, but I don't expect GM to do any hiring any time soon.... New equipment is rolling in to some of the plants, So I'm pretty sure there will not a great need for more employees... My dad's plant would be a good example of one of many plants that are being updated....
  13. Hmm...how about talking to someone who has driven ALL of the compacts, eh? Granted, after driving the Civic, I would have to agree that it is still the leader, no doubt about that. On the other hand, the Cobalt is not that far behind. Those you say that have not driven them back to back. And these weren't top of the line models either. (You know, the cars most people drive) I agree with the O.C, the Civic is more refined, and it does have go.... But driving the Cobalt was more fun, as it handled better... And even after being inside the civic before, I didn't feel the inside of the Cobalt was a major downgrade. They are not really that far apart. It is the little things that the Civic beats it in. Right now, the Cobalt beats the Civic in value, which is important considering the way gas prices are going......
  14. Yep. Every plant is going to be different. My dad's plant is a good example, as there has not been as many takers yet..
  15. Why so few miles?
  16. Agreed. Josh, whwn they close a few more plants....problem solved. So far, there have not been as many people taking the buyout...
  17. I have a feeling it could touch 4.00 by mid summer. But we'll see....

    Isn't It Funny

I almost choked on my coke after reading that...
  19. I think the Cobalt gets refreshened next year...that should help it against the Civic...
