  1. If it takes nine seconds to reach 60mph, then this car is automatically terrible, underpowered, not worth anyone's time and consideration and unless it retails for ninety-nine, ninety-nine after rebates, we should all just drive Sonata Turbos.
  2. Lenovo's 'Thinkpad' brand is the one to buy if you want something that is actually purposeful. If I need a new laptop, it'll be one of theirs, as the build quality is excellent, and they focus on actual usefulness, as opposed to 'features' that are there to 'wow' the customer when perusing Best Buy.
  3. Europe's drivers are considerably better than ours from what I've gathered from the several times I've been across the Atlantic. And our cities are slowly beginning to mirror Europe's based on the increase in fuel prices, leading to commuters seeking out pedestrian, or bicycle options in lieu of their vehicles. More pedestrians, more chance of accidents. You're right, it's a solution in search of a problem which is going to make itself apparent in the next few years. This way, we're ahead of the curve.
  4. Unless you want total automization, then car manufacturers have done all they can in the accident avoidance department. And all those electronic gizmos in cars you don't like? You'll get even more, like Volvo's collision detection system if avoidance is the main concern. It's up to drivers to not be terrible, and actually watch the road. Unfortunately, that hasn't materialized, and with more people out walking due to proximity to their jobs, transit stop, or environmental consciousness, manufacturers will need to design cars for them too.
  5. YEAH! SCREW PEDESTRIANS!
  6. You remember you wanted an explanation of RAID variants? You're Welcome!
  7. Hello, my name is FAPTurbo. And I have a problem.
  8. Bingo. If the company wants the best quality, they'll get it.
  9. Oddly, MY made in China computer parts including my router don't have those problems. Change your damn firmware.

  11. There were some teething problems early on, where people, and one or two reviewers, who did not use Premium fuel ended up with terrible engine knock.
  12. Any chance you could get your mitts on a non-Turbo SRX to do some comparison in the real world? Although the turbo's demise is not great for enthusiasts, given the crowd that buys these vehicles, I doubt it'll be terribly missed.

    Jerps

I wish I hadn't searched for the definition of 'Jerp' on UrbanDictionary.
  14. I've bought: Borderlands DLC Left 4 Dead 2 Tropico 3 An Indie Pack and I'll probably get Dirt 2 later today. The Crysis 'Maximum Edition' for $9.99 is a steal, too. Dodgefan and I already have Civ4, so if you want to have a good ol' comp stomp sometime, hit us up.
  15. Have they tried to see whether their blenders can themselves be blended?
  16. Before I make an order online, I figured I'd just ask if a system builder around here has a flexible one that's about eight to ten centimeters lying around. Naturally, I'll pay shipping, which shouldn't be expensive at all.
  17. I'm for more transparency as well. However, I know this should not be the case, because about three quarters of the world do not play ball with Western virtues, and view our desires of openness and freedom as a weakness to be exploited.
  18. This thread is offensive to three dozen people's beliefs. I demand this thread be renamed 'The Official Winter Holiday Decorated Coniferous Tree' thread. Racists.
  19. I'd imagine we'd be getting tons of hits if the EXCITEMENT!!!!! thread hadn't been relegated to Rated R.
  20. Yeah but it'll still be terrible because it won't be paired to a twenty speed 'ZF' transmission made from the recycled sheetmetal of five Sonata Turbo's. So obviously GM fails, and should not bother making Cadillac compete with anything over 25K.
  21. Yeah, I know they're owned by Audi, but Lambo's taking this whole 'let's keep the same design for a decade or two' schtick too far.
  22. Prelude.
  23. Odd, because I recall certain 'unique' individuals expressing considerably vitriolic opinions towards other individuals who were real assets to this place. You know, when one unique individual made a topic about the V8's demise, and a few other 'unique' members decided to lambaste the poster. There's no 'group' at C&G out to silence opposing viewpoints. Instead, perhaps you're just noticing people beginning to get sick and tired of hearing people complain about: Pontiac Small Cars Government Motors New cars versus Old cars Technology in vehicles RWD vs FWD Society supposedly being in the sh*tter Hyundai Sonata Turbo Cadillac needing a 100K car, but should not have a 35K crossover in order to pay for that 100K car's development Buick The worst thing of all is how people have just decided to regurgitate their arguments in different threads. It gets really old, really fast. And that's why there's been an increased 'fight' from the people you believe are somehow out to eliminate participation. Participation isn't being eliminated; it's just that those 'unique' individuals are being taken to task, and they've got no real recourse.
