  1. Yeah. Turkey burgers...I like those, too. I went to the gym tonight and actually completed 30 mins. on the elliptical. These kinds of foods are now part of the game plan.
  2. blank
  3. And it will happen! Since that's in kms, I computed that as being equal to 190,816 miles. Entirely doable!
  4. OK, Citicorp Center is in the background. Very few streets in Manhattan are truncated like that. If you are looking from the north, that's the MOMA. (because you are not in a normal street grid) If you are looking from the south, that's Grand Central Station but it probably isn't because I don't see the Pan Am building. It looks surreal or touched up, BTW.

  6. STOP ...no more guns ...no more soap operas PICTURES!
  7. Dude, I'm on the same wavelength as TYD. You can own one, it just doesn't work for me. I think I would be uncomfortable owning one. That's me. In fact, I'm still laughing that, on an absolutely gorgeous mid-70 degree day with NO humidity, I transited through your hometown from the beach at Pensacola to Atlanta not knowing you lived there and didn't even have a cup of coffee at Starbucks with you. Next time! Also, with little ones now around, be extra careful to allow NO access to it/them (the gun/guns).
  8. Flora and her sister Fauna. Great names for a set of twins, BTW. I am not overly concerned for the short-term. At least, here and in other developed countries, there is awareness. It is the emerging nations that, in ramping up their production, consumption and general standard of living, will pose a much greater danger. And those people (no specific nation mentioned, as a matter of fact) make more babies than we do. In fact, it is interesting to note that the lowest birthrate in the world belongs to the Italians (and I thought they were supposed to be Catholic and family-oriented...LOL).
  9. pissed off
  10. Yeah, babay, my childhood home was 1 or 2 miles south of that ... and about 1/2 mile to the east (Rancho Park neighborhood of West L.A.) I'm homesick.
  11. perturbed
  12. I am going to err to the side of caution and say that I am concerned. I think that we do need to do something. I think that all of the small steps combined ought to help. I don't think we'll see its detrimental effects in our lifetimes; however, in later times, it will be a problem

  15. Anybody that knows me on the site knows how much I love the Intrigue. Anything that derails it from its restraint and sophistication does not have my support. Great raw materials (the car), tacky execution (the modifications).
  16. rotsa ruck
  17. This should be a pictures thread; however, I couldn't resist. I think that the right to bear arms is part of the reason why kids can shoot at each other in the high school hallways or there are gang problems in South Central or East LA and I disagree with that. That's why we have the kinds of problems we do. Europeans I speak to also disapprove of this facet of Americana. I really wouldn't want to own one either. The only way I could justify it is if I lived on an isolated ranch on 200 acres in Montana to shoot at a cougar or a bear coming at me...or some deranged drifter who may have come onto your property looking to harm you (more of a movie plot, really). Hunting as a sport is not my cup of tea, either.
  18. great flick

  22. Does this taste sensation work on Veggie Burgers? That's all I've been eating lately.

  25. Thanks, sir! Actually I'm a B-O-P nut, though I do like all GM brands to some degree.
