I am going to err to the side of caution and say that I am concerned. I think that we do need to do something. I think that all of the small steps combined ought to help. I don't think we'll see its detrimental effects in our lifetimes; however, in later times, it will be a problem

Anybody that knows me on the site knows how much I love the Intrigue. Anything that derails it from its restraint and sophistication does not have my support. Great raw materials (the car), tacky execution (the modifications).

This should be a pictures thread; however, I couldn't resist. I think that the right to bear arms is part of the reason why kids can shoot at each other in the high school hallways or there are gang problems in South Central or East LA and I disagree with that. That's why we have the kinds of problems we do. Europeans I speak to also disapprove of this facet of Americana. I really wouldn't want to own one either. The only way I could justify it is if I lived on an isolated ranch on 200 acres in Montana to shoot at a cougar or a bear coming at me...or some deranged drifter who may have come onto your property looking to harm you (more of a movie plot, really). Hunting as a sport is not my cup of tea, either.

Well, now I feel better. My last rental (Chevy with 3500) exceeded the 31 mpg on two long jaunts (32.6 and 33.4). I am hoping the 4 banger in this thing can reach 34 or 35 at "60 mph w/o AC" cruise mode.

...roughly 6 months from today, I will get my braces off (did it as an adult) and my friend from SD told me I will always have to wear it...he got braces some 5 years after he got married, so at about 8 years after college...it sounds like you have to sleep with the retainer on.

The 3800 used to be known as the 3.8 litre which used to be known as the 231 cubic inch engine....six, half-dozen or the other. Yesterday, on New Year's Day, driving home from the hot springs near Lake Tahoe, my '92 Regal 3800 coupe turned over 231,000 miles. Pretty stupid, huh?

The body style/automotive package I want (mid-lux sport sedan or personal luxury coupe) is delivered exclusively in this manner. Believe me, if they had put the 90s Regal coupe, the Grand Prix sedan or the Intrigue on a RWD platform, I would have dug it. Just think how nice it would have been to lift the hood and see that 3800 sitting snug up against the firewall with all its under-hood components identifiable and easy to reach.
