The official I HATE DONALD TRUMP thread.
Agreed, TJ, he is scum. But there are so many others like him that are far worse offenders in corporate America (the insiders at Enron, Tyco, etc.). With regard to women, Trump must know they are "bought" ... I wonder what they really think of him ...and if, deep down, he knows it. Still, Rosie gets my blood to the boiling point quicker than does "the Donald."

Isn't she from "the Island?" (Thought I saw that on some docu-biography type show some night I must have been bored). Which town?

Food that's BAD for you...
Everyone of us has some food that we go nuts over...and probably eat more of it than we should AT ONE TIME. For some, it's Oreos, cashews, etc. Mine is French Onion Dip, either with chips or wheat crackers. I bought some this weekend. I don't do this often. What is THAT food for you?

Not quite, but I don't look like I've had electrolysis or shaved on purpose, either. It gets gross when you have hair everywhere such that, on a sweltering day, the sweat would make it soppy. Have you ever seen some real hairy Middle Easterners perspire right through their shirts and all their body hair sopping wet? Not too cool. Sometimes, they forgot their deodorant on top of that. I've had to sit next to some hairy foreign guys in college classes and you either wanted to leave the classroom or throw up, but you didn't have the nerve to tell them "You know, they sell Mitchum at Safeway."

Now why would you do that, PB? I don't...but then I don't have any gold chains and silk shirts to complete the look, either. How much more speed does having shaved legs give a guy in certain competitive sports unless it has to do with being able to deal with the sweating better? Never figured that one out.

the official I hate ROSIE O' DONNELL thread
Haven't been following the whole thing, but dislike both of them. Trump for: cheapening to the point of putting on something like "The Apprentice" which sells avarice and Machiavellianism, general flash level despite an Ivy League education (Penn's Wharton school), bad hair and....he is not a self-made man...he inherited and built on it....not from scratch as some others have done which, I guess, is ok. He is obviously a general-purpose jerk. You know that Ivana and Marla had to have been thinking of someone else when he was planted in between their legs. Rosie for: BEING ROSIE ...a truly abrasive and obnoxious bull-dyke. Even before "the announcement," how could anyone not have figured that one out. Also, "Cruise was a rouse" -- her ranting and panting for Tom Cruise was way too transparent and orchestrated. I am also disgusted with the other snively bitches (BaBaWaWa) who have gotten on Rosie's bandwagon on this. I've also often wondered if Roseanne is sort of wired the same way...she's kind of rough. Reg, you knew I'd weigh in on this.

What would be worse is if "Sharon Bush" and her came as a "package deal" for the occasional kinkier client.

An Age Old Manual Question
You needed an "other" category. When I did have access to one, I would downshift first, if decelerating from, say, 50 to 25 mph. If at low speeds and coming to a stop, I would put it into neutral. Ah, yes, memories....truthfully, I'm GLAD I don't have a stick.

How long can you leave a car parked?
Hey guys, I expect to be leaving my Regal parked from mid-June until the beginning of August. I will be out of the country. I will be taking the car up to Portland but, since my Mom doesn't drive, I wouldn't even want her to start it and move it up and back a few feet to get things moving...though maybe a neighbor could do it. Still, it may wind up sitting there. I've heard that leaving them parked for that long can cause some problems. Namely, the battery may fail but more so than that, tires are supposed to get a "flat spot" or something to that effect. Is there any truth to that? What other car components could be adversely affected by being parked for a long time?

Another LaxSoup spy pic
Despite it not being Italian, they did appreciate it as having a nice silhouette. Only 1 of the 2 sisters has been here and that one has been here twice, having sampled American cars I've rented to take her around. She acknoweldges that they are very quiet, comfortable, priced very well for what you get and are amazed at their longevity. She marveled how 70 mph (114 kmh) felt so much slower because of the excellent isolation of the cabin. In short, it's "un salotto mobile" to them. Overall, they gave the nod to the LaCrosse over the Monte Carlo.
