Back to Pontiac
good job dumping the honda for the pontiac! sorry you had to sacrifice and drive a caliber. I tested one once, and it felt crude and cheap.

Car and Driver Reviews Malibu LTZ
sure, but at least they have enough torque to maintain constant cruising speed......at least 4k on the tach.

TCC: Cerberus Spins Nardelli’s Bankruptcy Talk
if i recall, towards the end of the nineties, the stratus/cirrus and intrepid were both top 10 sellers in the US. you could have said that about the stratus a couple years ago, if you meant 'top 10 enterprise purchases' http://thehollywoodextra.blogspot.com/2007...ney-prices.html sorry, but this is pretty indicative of the blanket of comments I have read on many sites across the internet. so, I am not alone in my journey interior bashing. seems fairly universal that they blew it on that one.

Lutz: new Buick LaCrosse a "mind-boggler"
truth is, buicks should have AWD optional. passat does, fusion does. FWD bias is ok for buick i think, but it really should have awd optional.

TOYOTA COROLLA, or....?
http://thehollywoodextra.blogspot.com/2007/12/byd-f3.html I swear, I can't even tell the difference. I gotta admit, if I were Toyota, I'd be piss3d.

TCC: Cerberus Spins Nardelli’s Bankruptcy Talk
the dodge journey would do well except for its dismal interior. the vans are ok product but do suffer from weaker base and mid level pushrod engines and dismally cheap interiors (except for top level T/C's) as well. They should have offered AWD and sharpened up the reflexes a bit for the buff books too. It's painfully clear that Chrysler's biggest flop was betting the farm on RWD and Hemis and the nasty polarizing styling.....without any backup plan like a redone intrepid. Intrepid and Stratus were HUGE in the market. In one fell swoop, the 300 turned chrylser into a bling company, and its lost appeal to the mainstream markets (i.e. women buyers). Avenger and Sebring turned out to be undersized and ugly and underwhelming and thus Chrysler is left with direct to enterprise business. Even though Chrylser has some good efforts in some areas, they were starved of money to do enough projects to keep the whole lineup fresh.

Subpar Compact
the element is equally hideous, at least until they wised up and made monochrome color schemes. where the element fails in relation to the aztek is passenger comfort and cheap cabin plastics. also, elements I have heard about don't get much better mpg than what i get with my aztek.

And I walked away....
i thought chargers only had the 3.5 new 07 chargers if any left can be had close to 20, yet 3 grand is 3 grand. CHrylser is so desperate right now they might be more in the ballpark then you imagine. when i was sho shopping in the late 90's, i passed on a trade for like 12k to boot vs my tbird for a sho w 10k on it. i passed and regretted it, i ended up trading for 16k (4k more) on one with 6k miles.

THE CURSE
the 500, and techincally i guess it's my fault, although she was fcking easily exceeding the speed limit by a lot and had left herself driving too aggressively to react. i was attempting to cross a 4 lane/median road with stalled traffic. i crossed to the median from visual agreement with the car in the first lane to cross. He left space for me to get through and he was not going anywhere for a LONG time. My approach was to get into the median and check for traffic in the second lane adjacent to his. When crossing, seeing through the line of cars, I did not feel there was anyone in the far lane. This is the sort of $h! that happens all the time in stalled traffic. Today shopping was just like people exiting parking lots after a big game at a stadium. NO ONE is moving. Traffic was backed up for easily 3 blocks to the light with no one moving because the light was on slow cycles. So I couldn't resist the need to get across the road anytime in the next 15 minutes. So I get the very tish of the nose of car far enough past the gracious dude so I felt I could see the lane next to it and it was FREE. SO I started to give it gas to get across and out of NOWHERE the bitch is coming at me perpendicular at what I guessed was 45-50 mph. I had enough time to turn my car and try to go parallel with her, but not wanting to steer back into the other lane with packed cars I just prayed she was alert and slow enough to not hit me. Well, I did not get the sense she reacted very quickly and I for one NEVER go 45 in a 30 when the lane on my left is at a dead stop and anyone could try to cut in front of me at any time. The impression I got of the person driving was she was very much your typical Lexus stereotype. Now, I also did not luck out, I got a female cop who was very sympathetic to the woman. I think had the cop been male and older, he would have at least listened more to my explanation about how fast this chick was going. So yeah, totally bad move on my part, although that sort of thing is done all the freaking time. But I am convinced the curse was part of this because it was the lexus camry that tagged me.

THE CURSE
I'll get a pic tomorrow when it's light out. It doesn't look bad, but i measure bad by dollars. So much for 'accident free' now. I always figured if I was going have it out with a Lexus Camry, I'd just as soon get a full head of steam going.

Chevy Traverse to be priced ~$23,000
i think it should be a little more boxy. I bet the third row will not be standard on the traverse. i see the 3.6 being standard on the traverse, with the small block being available eventually. I'd guess that the other three lambdas get the 3.6DI and new northstar as options soon. these spy photos lead me think i should maybe look at the outlook or acadia. the styling looks like it will be a little too toyotaey on this chevy.

THE CURSE
this just ruins it. I'm fine, can't open the passenger front door because the front fender is bent in just a tish, and reduces the already tiny panel gap to the point where it won't let you open the door. Most the damage is in front of the front wheel (bumper cover is bent up some, and the fender is crumpled up pretty good) and aside from a plastic shroud rubbing the front tire, it seems fairly unaffected as far as drivability. Still, this effing blows. There was even a little less damage to the ES.

THE CURSE
YUP. it got me today. And, sure thing. By what you ask? A lexus camry, blue letsbo haired boomer bitch behind the wheel. $h!ty thing is it's going to be on my dime. Just a fender bender, but still. Son of a bitch.

2008 Chrysler/Dodge Van Impressions
well, after a few months for the shock to wear off on these things, I think I am starting to appreciate the boxy clumpy exterior a bit more now. what's done it for me lately is seeing how nasty the other minivans look. I'm most partial to the exterior shape of the Freestar, but that does not exist anymore. The odyssey used to repulse me but now its boxy shape actually seems to be aging well. The Sienna was fresh when it came out and now its tired and blobbish. The Quest becomes more weird to me over time. The Kia/Hyundai pair definitely has a discount store look to it. it still looks ass heavy, and is a lump, but i think the short hood, boxy upright stance is sort of starting to grow on me a bit. Not a lot. Just a bit.
