October 2007: Ford Motor Company
taurus+taurusx+freestyle+montego+500 sales is up vs. 500+freestyle+montego last year. most of fords newer products and cars and crossovers are UP! note-FOCUS is up too. Lincoln+Mercury = up! Kill them? UM NO. anything truck based is down. more proof that Ford would be in rebound mode if Nasser hadn't starved them of decent product for like 5 years.

October 2007 Sales: Toyota Motor Corporation
lots of future unsatisfied tundra customers......

Mustang V6 Review
i think the mustang is slated to receive either a 3.7 or 4.0 litre version of the new duratec in the future. it sure needs it. keep in mind the convertible likely had mushy suspension to soak up bumps better than the coupe. the cvt doesn't have the ability to take as much road punishment as the coupe so they sometimes set it up softer.

Toyota @ SEMA: 2009 Corolla
all the money saved not updating the matrix and corolla was spent creating the new turd and its shredding camshafts. or lexus hybrids. the matrix is a disaster. sales will go down because the new styling alienates mainstreamers, but the vibe is nice enough to maybe pick those folks up. toyota must really be resting on its laurels. look at how the mazda3 is still the premiere small car now and for sure a little longer after this debacle. the goodness of the mazda is even more apparent after honda's accident and now toyota's misfire. the astra arrives at a great time.

Toyota @ SEMA: 2009 Corolla
YARIS ON ROIDS apparently. that interior is, shall we say.....sparse.........

Toyota @ SEMA: 2009 Matrix
dear God that's bad. A 9-2x/impreza got violated in vulgar fashion. vibe looks cleaner.

GM @ SEMA: Pontiac G8 GT SEMA Ed.

Toyota @ SEMA: 2009 Corolla
supposedly autoblog has pics up now of the new 09 Corolla that has debuted at SEMA. my work blocks pictures from autoblog. can anyone find another location for this supposed debut?

The Chrysler Axe is set to swing soon
i don't think the magnum should be axed. Why can't they just cut production since the tooling is done?
-
The Chrysler Axe is set to swing soon
i do like the magnum, except it needs a complete interior redo. not talking the 08 refresh either.

First Drive Tahoe Hybrid Car and Driver
let me put it this way. some were bitching because the new 360hp rwd G8 was 30k. yeah, sometimes it's like you can't please anyone.

IS-F vs. RS4
i thought toyota was a green company? thrills are fun, but these cars are just way too pricey. i would get a g8 GT and do something useful with the money i saved. you could probably cure world hunger, or at a minimum, britney and lindsay's addictions with the leftover cash.

The pariahs of our college campuses
perhaps these prof's who are on the state payroll need to be censored....i.e. their statements are either not accurate or too biased to be 'endorsed' by taxpayer money. start threatening their paychecks and maybe they will STFU

First Drive Tahoe Hybrid Car and Driver
it would be pointless to roll this first hybrid out in diesel because they would have had to deal with even more expense of emissions, and 2% of the gas pumps out there have diesel.....which by the way clean diesel has only been here for what, a year? bringing out this hybrid in diesel would be like taking a class of peanut allergy kids to the planters factory. making this a gas hybrid means more people are able to use it.

Chevy Traverse to be priced ~$23,000
after looking at an outlook today, me thinks chevy is prime for a lambda. hopefully the chevy will make a decent priced lambda. if the price is good, then they can move 150-200k of these a year.

car dealers are notorious for taking really bad pictures.

First Drive Tahoe Hybrid Car and Driver
it's amazing. they tested a truck that got 50% better mpg and they were bitching about brake feel and stuff. that sort of stuff will improve over the next few years. the dumbasses are missing the big picture. Get the damn truck on the road and start saving some fuel. I'd like to see this option in a Lambda.

Is there a recession looming?
x2. snate hit the nail on the head. stocks are good right now because companies are buying back their stocks at fire sale prices when the stock market is down. when a frenzy hits, they sell and pocket the dough. underemployment is huge these days and pay is not good either. you can be employed, but chances are your pay is sucking.

SEMA: '08 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo
new interior would have been nice.

2008 Kia Sorento - Are they EVER going to redesign this thing?
neighbors have one! have it had for like 4 years! the one in the article looks exactly the same! that grey cladding is so sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that interior is deadly old! it incites vomiting!

Is there a recession looming?
is the question serious? We've been in a middle class recession since 2000-2001. the mortgage and housing industries are in trouble because people's real wages have not gone up but expenses have gone up way faster than the mythical 3%.

2008 Malibu at the Georgian College Autoshow
all mainstream midsizers are pretty much crap inside. the previous malibu was a definite step below. I would think from what I have seen in the pics and from sitting in an aura and testing one, that they have closed the gap considerably even though the aura's plastic could be nicer. Look at the new accord. good assembly, but there is a badly designed and cheap looking center stack and very nasty 90's style matte black trim on the console and stuff. The new accord in cloth and dark colors incites vomiting. The gray camry interiors I have sat in incites instant diahhrea. I think where GM's midsizers fail the market most is passenger accomodations. Get into and out of an Aura is like wedging yourself into a pop can. GM needs to back off on the pancake rooflines and also make the Epsilon cars WIDER.

The pariahs of our college campuses
simply put, the prof's are not fostering an open environment and that is not just a minnesota thing. this is about prof's being pig headed and not allowing exchange of ideas, regardless of which way you bat.

that prius is quickly going to be dated.
