i saw the imperial at the auto show last weekeend. What sort of crackpots would consider building this thing? MY GOD, delusional! this thing is a hideous trainwreck!!!

i sat in the avenger at the auto show the other day. i have also driven a new sebring. neither convinces me that this will be any sort of player. i don't need to detail the reasons. also, the aura has a FAR nicer interior and exterior and powertrain, even though the Avenger's dash is laid out nicely.. The Avenger interior is typical 'new Dodge' (interpret that how you want). the fusion is nicer as well. I would take a Buick LaCrosse over this even. The current but old Grand Prix trumps this thing big time. Dodge went from volume seller to niche manufacturer in the span of about 2-3 years. Where they used to sell many intrepids to satisfy the mainstream FWD sedan family type market, they now offer the very nichey Avenger. in summation, it would make sense to me to even buy a Camry over this car....unless of course you love Dodge or are seriously drawn to the unique style of this vehicle. All just my opinion, of course.

yup. i still can't get over how many morons saw the 'all new taurus' and were all excited. I'm like, this f'ing car has been here for 3 years already but you change the name and now everyone loves it? What's in a name? The ford chick said there were still people going into ford dealers looking to buy new Taurus and nor did not even know what a 500 was. hence, the name change. The common name holds much more equity than any amount of $$$ spent on advertising could ever get close to. did anyone see the petite blonde working the kia stand? OMG. about 5'2, medium length absolutely straight hair. Probably 100 pounds and most of it on her (probably fake) chest. I think she had about 40% exposure on that gun rack. DEAR GOD!!!!!!

if you would have polled members of the media, you would have gotten toyota #1 with a huge margin because all those 'journalists' would have just cashed their paychecks from the big puffy T.

i think its neat but i doubt it would fly in the US. We need a better SRX. Let the poseurs buy the X3 and 3 wagon. The 9-3 sportcombi does not need internal competition here.

i sat in camry and aura at the autshow today. the camry has no taste and has really cheap plastic. the dash design is ok, but overall the effect is cheese. the aura seems much nicer. the camry seemed like a cartoon interior or something. the aura, with the paddle shafters was really awesome.

i stood about 6 inches from a 2008 vue hybrid today at the autoshow and checked out the interior. First off, the new shape will please toyotaphiles, but it is a softer look than the current trucky vue. And it looks smaller. It does resemble the RDX a bit though. The interior is FABULOUS. very minimal gaps in the cutlines and seams. And this is a prototype! Without hesitation i say it is one of GM's best interiors for execution and probably for design too. It's very tasteful. I am predicting this new VUE will be EXTREMELY popular.

i stood about 6 inches from a couple Astras today at the autoshow. I LOVE THIS CAR. you guys would love the heavily bolstered seats. It's really a hot looking car. Especially with the big wheels. Looks wayyyyyy cooler than the Rabbit / Golf. Needs more motor and a 6 speed auto as such but otherwise, it's way cool! It looks european in the way the first ford focus' did. Did I say I love this car?

saw the g8 at the autoshow tonight. very very awesome styling. it's totally the right car for pontiac right now. the interior is not daring, but its not tacky, either. it will be fun watching charger sales go in the crapper when g8 hits. the g8 makes the charger look like a big pile of puke. wish the g8 had awd....i'd sure love one.

not really enough time right now to write much, but at least wanted to say the G8 is sexy and the Tundra really sucks. The Acadia and Outlook were big time hits as was the Enclave. And yes, MANY folks thought the 'Taurus' was all new.

i just saw the TURD today for the first time at the auto show. What a pile of crap. It certainly is a big truck and no doubt the powertrain is likely good. the interior is horrible. The seats are kinda comfy but the plastics are cheap and the dash layout is abysmal. the center stack is made of the cheapest switches and knobs in recent memory. What got me was how they made the center stack PIANO BLACK, i.e. a zillion finger prints on it! Someone shut the tailgate when I was inside the truck and I felt the floorboards rattle and resonate in my feet when they did. CHEESY! The bed and rear does not seem to have very tough sheet metal. I was banging on it with my fist and its much more flexible than the one on the new Silverado. The doors, when you shut them, make a very cheap noise and they sound hollow. to top it off. the thing is hideous. they oink at you when you walk by. the whole toyota area was flooded with geezers and clueless people. and very few people were looking at the turdra. LOTS of people were looking at the new Chevy's and GMC's.

he looks like a GWB replica, and is just as clueless.

it sucked large. it was great to have the G8, however. i'll write up some impressions later.
