New hires at Nissan won't get pensions
dude, its just the auto industry needing to/coming into line with every other industry in the country. in this case too its Carlos breaking out the hatchet and saying, 'here's your job, take it or leave it' i know of no one who gets 'pensions' and fully paid for health care. not that i condone cheap ass nissan for doing it, but i am just saying that for anyone to think that 100% health care, and a pension is typical employee benefits for most of AMURCHA is pretty out of touch. Really, the whole source of the massive anti union sentiment in America is because -the average middle class person does not get full health care or a pension and its hard for them to sympathize with anyone who thinks they are entitled to it, when they don't have it themselves -therefore, the average middle class person without this stuff feels they are subisdizing a substandard company and feeding an inefficent and uncompetitive machine and in return are not getting maximum customer value out of it because the company is giving it all away to the employees.

07 SENTRA
its decent looking, much better than the civic or elantra etc. and if the space numbers bode out, it will have mid sized room with a compact price and footprint. great space efficiency. Its only real exterior design error is not a long enough rear deck.

New car shopping...
i went through the whole ordeal lately of trying to pick the right 'family sedan' had i got gm (didn't, got the 500), this is what i would recommend 9-3 linear, for 06 has more hp. upsides are many for alow price compared to the aero, but the downside is its only a 4 popper turbo and the back seat is small 2006 9-5....you might find a great deal! you can get a stick too! 260hp! impala SS, small back seat but good accel. wait, she hates impalas. GP GXP? (small back seat, low seats) G6 GTP? (narrow car, and too small a turnk) Lucerne is overpriced, but you might be able to find a dark skinned Lacrosse with floor shifter and tan leather 3.6 that would rock your world. CTS hunt around, you might even land a holdover 6 cylinder STS for cheap. sleeper pick, a one year old Bonneville GXP northstar. there's abuttload of low mileage ones out there! likewise, there are the occasional gem 2001-03 Aurora 4.0's out there. Still prbably GM's most well laid out interior ever. otherwise, wait for the AURA 3.6 and the Enclave/Outlook twins BY THE WAY, STEP IT UP BUDDY AND STOP LETTING YOUR WIFE MAKE THE CAR DECISIONS FOR YA. show them women who wears the pants, man. at least she's not making you get a camry or rav4.

Official 2007 Camry Pics & Details
after seeing the pics in the new C/D in print, ihave to say the SE in red is an improvement over the tan lump of turd i posted earlier. its still a mishmash of stuff -mazda6/millienia/acura front -CTS kind of c pillar -sonata tailights but i do admit the red SE presented itself better. the interior has small panel gaps but the center stack reminds me far too much of my diamantes except with cheesy green backlighting and silvery knobs

CIVIC si THE BELOVED COTY
didnt read that one yet, woulda thought the srt 8 would have creamed the TB

07 SENTRA
From the March C/D i just got today 98 cubic feet interior space -this intrigues me, my old Diamante had 97 cubic feet, as did the saturn L series, so this makes me think the new Sentra is quite large inside for a compact series car. 135hp 2.0 litre engine with 6 speed manual standard -fun and mpg? this car might be more appealing than i thought it would be. certainly its nicer than the corolla. space in vehicles is awesome. civic coupe has like FiFTEEN cubicfeet LESS inside. Sad.

torque is not on the standard or optional equipment list on the civic,Btw

CIVIC si THE BELOVED COTY
look in your new Car and Driver. loses to the GTI. no room, strange interior, no torque, poor mpg can't crack 7 seconds in 5-60 (7.5) 32 cu ft of rear seat space. for the record, that's TINY. does the mini have more room in back? no power till 6000 rpm apparently good job honda on your CAR OF THE YEAR which got beat by the vdub AGAIN proving why the COTY choice in MT was a complete and total fraud what a waste of a car. cobalt SS is a full second faster in 0-60, has a less QUESTLIKE interior, and has actual room in back. Civic Si (economy car) 19 mpg Porsche 19 mpg toyota avalon 23 mpg ford 500 20 mpg the nissan maxima probably beat it too

Ford Sales up 2% in Jan
yeah, the ANALysts were way off this month. FIRE THEM ALL! the japanese and german ANALysts do their jobs so much better. when the 500 gets reskinned and gets the new motor and when the fusion gets the new motor, then you'll see sales surge even more.

Nissan North America Announces January Sales
rising Murano sales are a tell tale sign of just how much of a surge the crossover market is starting to do, and products like the ford edge are ripe to pick into some of the muranos shares.

Kia putting Chevrolet in its cross hairs
nah, kia interiors are nasty across the board read some of the recent rio reviews where they blast the car for being stripped when cheap and then expensive when having say, power windows. kia is not there yet at all
