  2. I hate chewy bacon. But I also hate overcooked bacon. I like it right in the middle where it's crispy yet juicy. My only problem with eggs over easy is that they are messy.
  3. Indeed, you don't see people dropping dead left and right or a mass illness because they decided to have a medium burger. I understand about the internal temperature, and I don't like anything less than medium well, but I won't tell someone they shouldn't have it rare...it's their preference.
  4. I like m burgers medium well to well done. I don't like a piece of charcoal, but I I like my steaks well done.
  5. Can't argue with how the naysayers will try to spin it. However it's only $250 and it's meant to be a showcase. Kind of like the FCX Clarity or Equinox Hydrogen thing but electric and for work duties instead of commuter. I think it's a good way to put the system to the test.
  6. Yes but the LLV is ugly and the new ones are even worse. Plus a minivan can haul more than either.
  7. I have mine set to beep the horn when it locks. I find it useful for making sure I've locked it. I can walk away and not have to watch for the lights to flash. Plus it always ensures I remember my keys.

  9. Maybe because it helps distinguish them from the normal Dodge mail vans? It could also be that "Chrysler" as a brand represents "Chrysler" as a company more easily.
  10. I forget how the Cobalt's worked, but on both the GM and LH cars you just turned the dial all the way to the left to to turn automatic headlights on. To disable them you just leave it in the off position. The manual controls are still there. On the GM you can adjust the sensitivity of them too.
  11. Yeah, the overhead console that was optional for the LHs had that feature as well. The Mercury has auto lights and I love them. When I was at the junkyard I managed to get the switch, but need the sensor. Plus I don't know how to wire it.
  12. The duct tape is quite sexay, but notice he took it a step further. That's wood grain on the hood, roof, and trunk.

  15. Cash talks, BS walks However it's pretty far to make a cash offer. Whether or not you go for it depends on how much you want it. Is the Special Edition really special enough to be worth the effort? You need to ask yourself that.
  16. Yes but the day they stopped working was just at random as I recall. Could be wrong. I thougght battery too but then why would all of teh other programmable stuff stay enabled? The Overhead Travel Information Center as Chrysler called it was optional on Intrepids and Concordes. You do the programming for various features by some combination of turning the key off and onn a certain number of times to activate a particular programming mode and press something related to the feature you're programming to enable or disable it. Chrysler, like GM and Ford liked to parts share much of the switchgeatr...although when it comes to stereos and the HVAC controls, there were actually a lot of variations. I don't think anyone's sad that to me yet. I do like how the headlights have an auto off feature if you forget to actually turn them off. I think it would be cool if mine had the optional auto-on feature. That was one of my favorite features about the Cobalt I had.

  19. A while back I think I posted a question about the automatic locking feature...basically mine stopped working and I wanted to know why. I never bothered to get it fixed, and lived without it. I was browsing through my owner's manual today and came across information about the headlights. Basically you can program them to stay on for a minute or so after you turn the car off or disable the feature. It got me thinking....I wonder if the automatic locking system is programmable? Sure enough, you can enable or disable it. So I followed the instructions and sure enough they work again. I just don't know how they were disabled in the first place. Oh well, nice to have them back.
  20. This means that Chrysler has done a lot of EV work without making a scene about it like GM. Not that I'm blaming GM for making use of the PR, I'm just saying it's impressive what Chrysler has been able to do in quiet. Also, for all of the people who said the ENVI's were nothing but fluff...eat it.
  21. Chrysler is celebrating Earth Day today by unveiling the first four of what will be a fleet of 250 battery powered minivans for the US Postal Service. The U.S.P.S. will be using the vans for variety of duties at locations around the country – including daily home delivery. The vans themselves are based on the concept Town and Country EV that was unveiled last Fall by Chrysler. However, because of the duty cycle used by the Postal Service – which generally amounts to only about 18-20 miles per day on a fixed route – these vehicles are being built without the range extender seen on the concept. However, the electric drive portion of the vehicles, including the motor, electronics and A123 System lithium ion battery pack is identical. The head of Chrysler's ENVI division Lou Rhodes told Autoblog Green this morning that Chrysler is marketing this battery-only version of the van to commercial fleet customers who typically have a shorter range requirements. The extended-range version will be focused on retail customers. The initial batch of vehicles include a pair of right- and left-hand drive versions, and the total fleet will include a mix. The Postal Service will be using the vehicles for whatever applications they have in different regions of the country. The intent is to evaluate the usability of electric vans, as well as the interaction between the vehicles and the infrastructure. In addition to the post office, Consolidated Edison (Con Ed), Duke Energy, DTE Energy and Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) will participate in the test program. Autoblog
