I liked the Commander from some angles, especially the front. But it's too small to be comfortable in the back...like AM6 said, Jeep should have built it off the Durango (instead of Chrysler). They should hang onto the name though, it sounds cool. If they do make a replacement that's bigger, it should look like the Rescue concept. Either that or give the next Grand Cherokee 3rd row seating (and a better interior). Ditch the Compass too.

She's against video games...screw her.

I was going to mention this sooner or later!!!!!

Dude, sorry to hear about your car, that sucks so bad! The curse lives on. Damn Toyota. I'd veer away from teh Colt, but the Shadow is promising...what engine does it have? I hear the V6's tend to be oil burners, and the 4-speed autobox ain't so great either. -
Toyota Trucks: Now that's moving you forward (right into the dealership lot for another recall). Toyota: Moving Forward (straight into the recall hall of fame). Toyota: Moving Forward (slowly) Toyota: Moving Forward (to cover up scandals as quickly as possible). To add to Oldsmoboi's: Toyota: Lurching Forward (get the feeling, get the feeling).

Well, I have Zero respect for what NASCAR passes off as "racing" NASCAR Rep: Hey...dude....I reckon we can make these babies go faster around the track if we make the car uglier and put a giant spoiler that would make a Civic owner proud, and make some bolted on thing that passes as a front spoiler but looks liek something off teh side of a building. Rep 2: Let's make it "safer" so as to justify it...and by safer I mean harder to drive. Rep 1: Harder to drive eh? But won't that make it more dangerous? Rep2: They go in a circle for like 4 hours...how much skill does that take?! This isn't LeMans or or RallySport...this is good ol' redneck racin'! Rep1: Good point. But what about Toyota? It's not American Rep2: CR says it is...plus who cares, we're all too drunk and stupid to know anyway...plus the cars look the same now! I dunno where I was going with that rant, but seriously...who enjoys this crap? You watch ugly ass cars that looked like they were designed and made in China race in a circle for hours. How is that enjoyable? I ghuess you need to be drunk to know. At least LeMans and Rallysport use real cars...that look like their production variants.

Wow...how is this thread now?

Shotgun, or magnum, or pistol. I'm not that good with specific names.

Don't beat yourself up over it BV. Actually today I saw an accident where an older Sentra rear ended a 2 gen old Civic. The Sentra looked okay-ish, but the Civic's bumper was almost all the way off, hanging by a couple of clips. Strangely, they were on opposite sides of the road in opposite directions, and happened to crash by where a cop was guarding a utility truck. Other than that, I had to fix a friend's toilet and then played FFXI pretty much until now. Nothing that eventful here...and most of the small amount of snow we got already melted.

Dude...I start school next Tuesday (23rd)! XD Maybe a day before that? If not I can try to make it anyway, you'll just have to give me directions.

Green Beat: GM Jolted by Chevrolet Volt Buzz

I bet you find the Prius more attractive? I wouldn't place all my bets on this never seeing the light of day if I were you. How did they miss the boat badly? Sure they weren't the first to market with Hybrids, but they have teh Vue, and there will be the Aura, the Malibu, Tahoe, and so on. They were teh ones who pioneered with the EV1, and they are dedicated to Hydrogen power, and don't forget how many of their vehicles can use Flexfuel...the new fad these days. n00b -
Ass cancer...ouch.

Can the New-Look Malibu Help Jump-Start Chevy?
Intrepidation replied to Flybrian's topic in Chevrolet
Dude...seriously...NO It's like a Korean Sebring with a little L-Series thrown in and a lame-ass interior...how is that better? If only they stole the taillights off the Cobalt Coupe instead of the Mitsubishi Diamante. NOS did a good chop of it I think. Still, aside from teh rear end this is a very nice car. The interior and powertrain should win over buyers. -
Toyota recalling 500,000 + Tundras and Sequoias

LOL Nice. Maybe FLy should sue Toyota for damages. -
Shouldn't this be in another section? This is GM trucks.

Hey Sixty8, if you feel like visiting people we could always go check out that 10's-20's era car at the dealership I've mentioned.

Now here's a good wheel design, and one of my favorites. Note to GM: This is how you mod you performance models.

I've been in very few cars where I've found the seat too low...just seats that didn't go far enough back on the driver's side. You'd be screwed in my car...manual passenger seat with no hight adjust High adjustment is good on the driver's seat, I do make use of it in my car...but the passenger seat never bothers me. Come to think of it...if it is only 4-way...why not just make it manual? It's faster to pull a level and move it yourself than wait for the motors to slowly move the seat...oh wait...we're Americans....we're fat and lazy...never mind.
-
It's hilarious that it handles worse than the current cars....going in a circle is tough work I guess...what a POS.
-
+1 At least someone gets it.

Those 2 seats must have been imported, the rest made in America

Green Beat: GM Jolted by Chevrolet Volt Buzz

But of course, according to Flint, GM "doesn't get it". -
Date posted: 01-18-2007 DETROIT — Call them love letters to the Chevrolet Volt. But General Motors apparently has been besieged by consumers who want to get their hands on a production version of the electric concept that was unveiled last week at the North American International Auto Show. Writing in GM's Fastlane blog, Beth Lowery, GM environment and energy vice president, said the Volt's fans have been flooding the automaker with lots of ideas. Among them are suggestions to build a high-performance version and to get it "into production within two years while keeping the price under $30K." Lowery says, "It's a little early to talk in detail about the specific applications beyond the Volt or about a specific time frame for its release, but we believe E-Flex is a very versatile technology that could be right for general applications." Lowery took on critics of the Detroit automaker, especially those who castigated the company for its dead EV1 program. "I can understand why people are skeptical," Lowery said. "All I can tell you is that we recognize the role that electricity will play in future cars — that's why we've worked so hard to bring you the Volt. "But we do not believe that electric cars are the only answer," she continued. "We believe there are a number of solutions to ending our dependence on oil, and we are working on many of them simultaneously, including hydrogen fuel cells, clean diesel, FlexFuel and hybrids. And we have designed the E-Flex system for the Volt so it can be coupled with motors using any of these fuel sources." What this means to you: GM hears you loud and clear and plans to make absolutely sure you won't be seeing any movies called Who Killed the Volt? http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=119260

The redesigned NASCAR stock car is bigger, but is it better? http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Featu...photopanel..1.* Old One New One -- Now, I'm not a fan of NASCAR at all, but I found it interesting how many people do not like the COT. I hope NASCAR pays the price for shoveling out this ugly thing and looses so many fans it's screwed.

They're both free and compete programs. They are very good at catching things before they do damage. Avast is just as good as any program you have to pay for. I've never used Spyware Killer, but Ad-Aware works very well for me. I install them both on all the PCs I have to clean out for people. (The record so far is 1,000 or so trojans and viruses). Yup, if your system has an input line, you'll be able to use that cord and plug it into your comp...instant uber sound.
