  1. Yeah, you could give one of those a try too. Visibility might be an issue, but it sits higher than either the PT or the HHR, it also has lots of thoughtful features.
  2. um...huh?
  3. I haven't heard much compaining about the PT, it seems to be pretty reliable. I know someone who's owned it and they've never had any real issues with it. Maybe you could rent a PT for a week and compare the experience?
  4. The thing is, the Vue and Ion are the only cars that seem to actually sell at Saturn. I've seen at max 10 L-series in my life. That's not very much. We all know they sell slow, same with teh Realy (which I've only seen one). The Astra or whatever the next gen Ion will be called will probably be more expensive, but not by too much (expect in higher trim lvls maybe). The Vue will probably go up some, but since it's already big for the compact class, it shouldn't ggrow much and the prices will probably rise by maybe 1k or so. could be wrong, but that's just my thinking. Besides, until those 2 vehicles are replaced, there's still cheap cars to go alongside the newer ones.
  5. I know the G5 is supposedly supposed to be a stopgap until GM can get Pontiac a better compact, but I still think not nearly enough was done to differenciate the car. Anyway, if the Cobalt sedan is gonna get a rear end to match the coupe it should look better. STill, you gotta admit they look similar.
  6. I guess there is always the Aveo/Cobalt/Malibu then
  7. I've always pronounced it ECHO-TECH I think it sounds better that way.
  8. Well, I'd assume the Astra will be prices around 15k at least as a base or mid-level model. Sure, you'll end up paying more for an Aura than an LS, but just look atthe quality design difference. At least the price raise is justifiable right?
  9. Oh? Read this then: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drive...rticleId=106626 It seems odd that the two road tests had different experiences, but the point is that it exists.
  10. Alright! Now I can buy a Cobalt coupe with a Cobalt Sedan's rear end and a Pontiac badge! Good to see badge engineering is alive and well.
  11. See it's not that I don't like teh tailights or the butt, I think it's very nicely done, and probably the best of any Buick in recent memory (The LaCrosse looks like it has the tailights off a G6). The car itself just seems too much like a VW...but then GM was going for more European styling when they designed this car.
  12. The back i plain and boring, the interior looks dated, but that front end rocks, love the headlight designs.
  13. Too bad the GXP torque steers like hell
  14. Musta missed that, so then my point remains valid I will concede...The Charger and Galant's butt look very similar. But how about this? (And don't say the 300 Touring)
  15. breakfast
  16. ...ok you got me. But in it's defence, let's look at it from another angle. Ok, now you're gonna coem back with "well the Lucerne doesn't look like the Sable from the rear or side. Ok, true, but now it resembles a Phaeton At least the Charger's side and front are unique
  17. scharmer beat ya to that word
  18. I'd buy a STratus before I bought a Malibu. Sure, it's outdated, and the interior sucks, but so does the Malibu's, and at least the Stratus is easy on the eyes. Plus you can get them cheap. There ya go: cheap, basic transportation that won't cause retenal damage
  19. plow
  20. From teh front their designs and overall shapes are quite similar, but everything else is different. The Sable is like an oval, the Lucerne has a bit more of a wedge stance. I like the Lucerene infinitely more, but you gotta admit, when they are both that color and at that angle there's a resemblance. Now some people say "Well all cars take ideas fromother cars" Show me a car that looks like the Charger (not counting th LX platform mates) or the Mustang, or if it were to be a production car, the 427 concept. Nothing looks like the Camaro concept either. It's possible to make truely unique design, GM just hasn't done much of it, or Ford.
  21. I tought the interior was supposed to be one of the highlight sof that car?
  22. I dunno if I will ever give up my first car. I'll probably keep it in storage after I move on, but at the same time I'd slowly try to restore it when I had money. Why bother restoring a little Shadow? Cuz, like Camino said, it's my first car, it's special to me, and it's been very good to my family in the 10 years or so that we've owned it. It deserves some TLC for all the faithful work it does. (I really do try to kee p it clean and taken care of, and fixing things on it when I can...like replacing the headliner). Besides, why sell it? It's not worth much
  23. See now that sounds like a personal attack. So because I said it's "not pretty or sporty" that's a stupid excuse? I hate to tell ya, but it's universally agreed that the Avalon is anything but sporty. I didn't even call it a ugly piece of crap or anything, I simply said that I didn't think it was pretty. I suppose complimenting on being Toyota quality is part of the stupid "excuse" too? Come to think of it, how is any of the comment I made an "excuse"? What's it an "excuse" for? Do tell since you obviously seem to know. Also, if you're trying to refer to my comment about the plastic doors on the center stack, and that while the Navigator gets slammed for them the Avalon gets praised...how is that stupid? It's simply a question.
  24. The other day me and a friend were at the Best Buy in Nashua, NH and we saw a Panoz Roaster in blue. I've never seen one of these or even knew the car existed before that day but, damn they are nice looking cars. Do they even sell these in the states? They look sweet!
  25. I actually think that's a good idea, and one I've thought about before. Let Plymouth be a niche brand with 3 or 4 vehicles that are unliek anything else Chrysler/Dodge have. Like a new Prowler, a Roadster, and maybe bring back the `Cuda
