Had the Aveo been present, I think it would have made the Fit look like a foolish pick for the test. It is clearly THE standard at which all these other "crackerboxes" (Love that term!) should be and will be measured. BTW, The "$h!" is just that if you don't read the Import Humping rags out there. More powerful doesn't mean its a better car. Sure, if you go by Ragazine articles the cheapo Altima is quick but what do they know? The interior is horrid, the exterior is cheap and the maintainence for that OHC pile of crap is probably 3 times the cost of my Pontiac. I don't think the Altima stands a chance against the G6. Heck even the Malibu is a better option over the Altima. One day, the import lovers out there will get their just do's. Sending Nissan and the rest of the cronies back to Asia where they belong.

The G6 rocks. Mine has been awesome and I drive the hell out of it. Clearly a superior car to the Camcord and Altima and even cars like the TSX, Lexass IS250, or 325 don't stack up against it for quality and performance Don't tell C&D that its better though, may hurt their ratings... morons.

Anyone who buys one of these without checking out a Lacrosse or Lucerne is blind and brainwashed. Go home Hyundai, you are not welcome here in the states. You will never be able to build a car as nice or refined as a Buick, so go back to duking it out with the cheap trash Avalon in Import lala land (Asia). Leave our American highways and roads to the domestics who know what we are doing and have been for longer than Hyundai has been a nameplate.

I saw one too. For some reason, somebody scaped off the badges and put "Corolla CE" on the trunk lid. I saw the same thing on an LS 430 which was rebadged with Camry CE. Wonder why anyone would do this to a perfectly fine import?

That is SO true. Haha even their own country realizes that Lexass is nothing more than a glorified Toyota Tercel and yet we foolish Americans buy them up like Crispy Creme donuts. Thanks for the welcome, I've been lurking for a while. As far as superior goes, I think there are plenty of GM offerings that beat the competition hands down. The whole Caddy lineup is a world beater, anyone would be foolish to buy a BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Lexus without considering a Caddillac. The beautiful XLR is something none of those wussy brands could come close to matching. The V series should wipe the floor with these glorified Hyundai's. I really think the only reason the idiots are buying them in the first place is because of all the humping that goes on in the magazine world. I bet id C&D or MotorTrend didn't exist, these makes would have gone home on the same boat they came over with years ago. The new GMT900's are going to lay waste to the rest of the SUV world. I predict that and with the successful launch shown, import lovong sheeple are going to one day wake up and realize they screwed up by not waiting for these to be released. They could have even gotten an awesome deal on the outgoing models if they were smart enough. That's OK, they'll realize it one day when all their friends and neighbors have gotten their new Escalade or Tahoe which will make their ML500 or MDX or Lexass RX or Range Rover or whatever look like a cheap tin can. Without going into too much detail, I think these cars a far better in quality or performance than their cheapo competition G6 (And Malibu) > TSX, Accord, Camry, Sonata, Altima, and the BlowMyWad 3-series or G35 Impala/Lacrosse/Grand Prix > Avalon, TL, Lexass ES, Lexass IS...mmm V8 Cobalt > Mazda 3, Civic, Corolla, and if my buddy smartened up the 3 series or C-class Mercedes would be junk compared to the awesome SS S/C Cobalt Lucerne/DTS > E-class, RL, 5 series, Infiniti M jag S-type, Lexass LS430, GS Corvette Z06 > everything it competes with Equinox/Torrent/Saturn Vue (except the crap V6 Honda one) > Highlander, CRV, RAV4, Murano Trailblazer/Envoy/Rainier > Pilot/MDX, Lexass RX330, 4 Runner, Pathfinder, X3 Saab 97x > X5, ML500, Cayenne, XC90, Solstice/Sky > S2000, Miata (chick car), Boxster, Z4 There is more, but all the above are better than the competiotn in quality, performance and value and I think will prove to be more dependable and longer lasting than their cheap junk counterparts. If the import humping public would just wake up and realize this, we would be living in a far better world than we are now with all this cheap import crap littering our roads.

There was no where to go with the Altima besides up. The interior was a joke (If this was a GM'er it would be ridiculed up and down for no good reason) and OHC engines suck. The V6 is a buzz bomb compared with my G6 and clear tail lamps are cheap looking. Nissan should just give up the idea of making a G6 wannabe. Are they going to match the sexy G6 coupe or one of the nicest performance convertibes around this side of the XLR and Vette? This thing is just going to end up being another rinky dink Piece of crap import that should be recycled before even making it to the dealership. I'll put my G6 up against this cheap imitator any day and leave it in the dust. C&D, MT and CR will most likely gush all over this glorified 1986 Sentra and the import humping public will foolishly buy up the things in droves...

Maybe, or maybe I am not brainwashed by the foolish Import revolution going on out there on the roads. I stand by my statments about the Camry. It is a worthless hunk of rubbish. Toyota is trying to out-GM us with their Malibu and G6 wannabe's and the import buying fools will once again be suckered into believing that they bought a better car. Thank you. That is exactly what I was thinking. In the real world, BMW is an overrated joke. For years people have been suckered by the blue and white propeller thinking it is gods gift to cardom. Guess what, it's not and I WILL state that the G6 is a superior car in every way. Just that you will never read about it because the Auto rags are so wrapped up in their lust for anything European and hatred for domestics. These people will learn when they get there tails handed to them by our Pontiacs.

I apologize if I hinted at anything offensive, I was merely joking about the whole PH thing. I wasn't alive to experience it but what I really meant was that payback for their wrongful infiltration into our country over the years is due. Scenario: A buddy of mine is looking at 3-series BlowMyWad coupes. I am ready to dope slap him upside the head because he won't even give a Cobalt SS or G6 GTP a chance. I have told him time and time again that the those two are 1000x the car that this overated Yugo wishes to be. But no, he's goota have the image of the BMW, the Euro style, the Euro quality BS. GM is not doing anything wrong. Its the buyers of the world who are wrong. Blind loyalty or blind stupidity for not choosing a superior vehicle from the General. I saw that on the Today show Too!!! What an ass. Yah, Toyota is an American company. Don't think so bud. Just because there are enough suckers in this country buying their junk doesn't make them American. No way no how. Sorry, the new Camry is an overrated piece of garbage. If you like imports and have a room full of C&D and Motortrend import humping mags and the walls are covered in your favorite "50 years of Consumer Reports Car issues" then I can see why you would be a Camry owner (Subjective statement, not directed at anyone in particular). I wouldn't trade my G6 for a Bloated Toyota Tercel if my life depended on it. If it's anything like Camry's of yore, it'll have a thrashy engine, chintzy interior bits and comfort on par with a park bench. it is NOT a quality piece, and falls WAY behind the G6 in refinement. JMust my .02

No way man. The G6 rocks. There is nothing on the market I would buy right now that could match the quality and performance of this Pontiac. My only other choice was a Grand Prix GXP but I couldn't get them to flip for the bill.
