  1. I've been very fortunate to have my grandfather alive, let alone pretty close to me. Some people are born without even a mother, father, or both.

  5. That's how I have it in my head. I know it's been expected for awhile, and everybody knows it'll happen soon, but it's just nobody lets it gets to their conscious mind how soon it'll really be. I've been doing the same.. remembering the good moments and knowing that he'll be in a better place. I hate to say it, but I might be more than ready for his time to come, but that may be for the better since I should be able to help everybody else cope. My mom and grandma are hysterical right now, I'm sure. Also, thanks you two.
  6. Could you please send out a prayer to help my grandfather up to God's home? I would really appreciate it. He's one of the greatest, wisest men I've ever met, and he's everything a grandpa should be. He worked a really hard life since the time he was 16 on the railroad tracks, then the military, then multiple other jobs (including Packard and Chrysler, where he retired after about 25 years). About 8 years ago he had a heart attack and since then has been fairly weak, and just in the last two years he's been having many more heart problems. These last few months he's been incredibly fragile (but still mentally functional), and this last week he's been hallucinating and just gone far downhill. He's even reached the point where he told my grandma he wishes he would just die, and this is coming from a man who has always feared death more than anything else. Unless something very unexpected happens, this will be the first significant person in my life taken to the next step in this eternal system of God's plan. I'm very strong with most things, and I'm hoping to stay strong through this to help the rest of my family (especially my mom and grandma) through this because I know they won't be able to do it on their own. So if you could please pray for him to be taken in with open arms, I would appreciate it more than you could imagine. I just want what's good for him, whether that be for him to get better or be taken from us. I'm not selfish, so I don't want to keep him here in pain against his will, so ask God to do what's right for him. Thank you very much, Frank

  10. I wouldn't doubt the 6.2L being about 10% more powerful, making that the top-of-the-line V8 in the GM stall (power-wise at least). As long as we lighten up these cars for the NG, that will be a terrific amount of power to put against the competition.
  11. The LS3 is Gen V, right?
  12. Deuce Bigalo: Male Gigolo (reminded me of Rob Schneider's blind client's chocolate fish shake)
  13. Alright, didn't catch the edit on your post. Speaking of the LS3 though, I think we could throw back to the 350 / 5.7L again, make more power per inch with about 400-430 HP or so with VVT, DI, and whatever else and have a smaller, lighter, more efficient block of metal. And I would NOT put it past GM for a second that they're developing some sort of DOHC V8 to debut in the Corvette and probably later in the Camaro.
  14. 1-Series would be WAY too small IMHO. I would say 3-Series size would be great, which would basically be an Alpha car. 3000 lbs isn't viable unless you make it 1-Series size with the addition of carbon, magnesium, and lots of aluminum.. which means expensive. I say aim for 3000 lbs, get it to 3200-3300 in the end, and make it 3-Series size with '70.5 throwback on the most modern design possible. Sounds great to me, but I'm sure we'll have a smaller, turbo V6 by then which would be awesome. Remember, we can't look 6 years into the future and say, "We want to use these cars from today," because they'll simply be pretty outdated. Hell, look at the LS2, that only lasted three or four years... I see the 3.6L D.I. staying around for probably 6-8 years though, but it'll be pretty tired by the time the 6th Gen is produced.
  15. -V?
  16. You are the new MS Paint pro. Do you have that 5th Gen Camaro chop you did based off the 4th gen still? I think it was black, and I'm pretty sure that 'chop single-handedly brought my dumbass over here for the first time...

  21. Nah, everything I read said the '95-97 first gen Neons had many problems, but all of these problems were ironed out for '98 and '99.
