Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
It’s not past prices, hence the term ‘adjusted’. H1 IC today would be $68K, a “cheaper to build” E version should come in below that, not twelve grand higher. It SHOULD be within $1000 of the IC version... but I actually expect it’ll be about 10 grand more. “Cheaper to build EVs” is still just vaporware.

Of course we need to see what the '24 base model is equipped like, but the 'much cheaper to build an EV' thing still isn't getting passed on to consumers... at ALL. If such were true, the base Hummer should come in UNDER the original H1 in price- more like $55 instead of $80K.

Driving down the highway, minding my own business, and I see this Buick - would you or wouldn't you?
Turbo 6 Buick; yes. But the Grand National debuted for '82.

Ay $38K, the Bolt certainly isn’t “cheap”.

And that’s fine, as long as the pretense that a 1%er vehicle like this is going to do much of anything towards displacing established segment leaders is dropped. The fatal flaw in your analogy is that there weren’t government agencies threatening a hard date where low-end affordable stereos would be outlawed.

They only moved 11K H1s in 15 yrs, when it started @ $53K ($68K adjusted). This is significantly above that price tier; it’s not going to sell MORE. I thought the ‘goal’ was to expand EVs, not render them almost exclusively as rare niche vehicles you never see.

Noooo; the Raptor starts at $53K.- Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
$116 GRAND?!?!? Utterly preposterous. Are we still overlooking the 80,000 lb gorilla of the bottom line vs. a comparable IC vehicle? Just shove the $1100 monthly payment aside and focus on 'no bi-annual oil changes / whoopee!' ?? That's like saying 'your hand doesn't hurt at all' while I'm smashing your foot with a hand sledge. As more EV trucks get released, the average MSRP of the electric vehicle keeps rising & rising & rising.- Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
It’s pretty cool; GMC put a lot of engineering into it... but the 3 motor version will be priced for the millionaire class, not everyday truck owners.- Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
I realize it's a 'full bells & whistles' from the vendor, but that's nightmarish as shown.- Driving down the highway, minding my own business, and I see this Buick - would you or wouldn't you?

- What did you do to your ride today?
Took the spare down today- had to cut the retaining bracket. So rusty it's garbage. If the lowering mech. wasn’t out of order I would’ve dealt with it yeara ago. Now I got no spare.- OCTOBER ve-hickle spotter
Stopped to eyeball a clean, black 2017 Sierra Denali at the GMC dealer- caught my eye because it was an uncommon crew cab / 6.5' bed. 21K miles, but still asking $46,800 !- Random Thoughts Thread
The first Aluminum finned drums at Buick- '57 Roadmaster. The circles are holes in the steel liner; the aluminum was poured around the liners and locked in place via the holes. The next year, Buick did a process of cooling the liners and heating the AL castings, and pressing the former into the latter.- OCTOBER ve-hickle spotter
MANY Jerseyians proudly insist there's a 'Central Jersey' (as do I). That said : Trenton is right in the center (north-to-south), and the majority of the southern half is fairly sparsely populated. Drive Rt 539 thru the Pine Barrens is interesting if you've also seen the northeast quadrant of the state. I don't like the urban areas. Trenton is OK because I've been there on occasion all my life (plus; born there). But up towards Elizabeth / Newark and I start getting nervous. Most of my growin' up was in a strictly rural area- the 2 nearest towns had about 2000 residents. I know I've heard the pronunciation of 'Ve-hickle' in a couple of movies, but couldn't tell you which ones. I've not heard someone say it in person (speaking seriously).- Random Thoughts Thread
