  1. it was ok but relied to heavily on the music to identify itself with the prospective cadillac buyers. iggy pop is an interesting choice, though. subtle but strikes a familiar chord. it jseems in a way they want to be all things to all people. im a punk rocker, yes i am... and they just closed cbgb's. lousy rathole. good progression of cars but more time could have been spent putting them together. it also wouldnt have hurt to throw in a few people throughout the years.
  2. rest assured, daimler will continue to suck whatevers left of chrystlers blood line to supplement its own life force before deciding to sell it off. parasites. at least the gm board recognized it would only be a host before it got ravaged.

  4. and it seems odd with the silvys and sierras knocking at the door they want us to stick around to wait and see what toyotas offering. i think that gm's got the goods anyway so f it. everyone can wait if they want and be mildly disappointed on january 8th. i think most die hard truck buyers already have their minds made up. perhaps this is why gm decided spend 100's of millions on promotion too. strike a balance.
  5. good...because i was and am expecting more.
  6. i think you hit the nail on the head...maybe use some of those fine nascar engines. right tools for the job, so to say. imagine if they went that route. what a nightmare for the pr.
  7. 1987 pontiac 6000 le combines fluid lines, driver-oriented appointments, and proven front wheel drive technology... 86 buicks...performance with or without a european accent g/s...235 hp and 330 torque 86 regal/gn---that was 20 f'n years ago! what happened after that?? bastards. i hope to look through more of these. thanks.
  8. that really is pug fugly. and i like pugs. but not this. throw it back in, its not done yet.
  9. ok, i guess i should have learned dutch, or at least remember seeing here yesterday... my bad...cant wait to see what they did with this thing.

  11. the commercials indicate that airbag deployment is recorded which would for sure suggest it was a significant impact but the specifics other than that arent readily disclosed. air-bag notification at least helps them determine the necessity and urgency of the response. it wouldnt surprise me though if on-star does record that information. id just as soon guess that info wouldnt be made available to the dispatcher. thats more suitable for a detective or investigators concerns after the fact.
  12. on a clear day birds will fly into that. as will any other small woodland creature not paying attention. god forbid a moose crosses your path in that thing.
  13. its a mixed bag. there have already been cases where motorists were exhonerated from serious charges because of the info they were able to pull up from the boxes. gm among others (i believe) have had these in place for a few years already. the info was limited to speed, braking, and i think wheel yaw. minimal to say the least. they also claim it can only be downloaded directly, not remotely. rental agencies use them rather extensively from what ive heard and in fact is in the fine print in some of the contracts... as long as its not used to track or dispense tickets i think it does more good than not but fundamentally im opposed to such an invasion of privacy. but then again if you got hit by a speeding driver, drunk or sober, on either side...or a reckless idiot going the wrong way...and you know you werent in the wrong youd want every bit of help in making your case. like i say i know of at least once instance when it proved someones innocence who otherwise would be locked up. its something that needs to be seriously legislated and evaluated.
  14. why dont witches wear panty hose? so thewy get a better grip on the broom stick.
  15. thats a good one. couldnt remember it... haha ok. nothing like a good joke, paison. howd the germans take over poland so easily? they marched in backwards and said they were leaving. a guy goes into the doctors office sticks out his nine inch tongue and the nurse goes "ahhhh" i got more but theyre either long or need to be delivered... ill try one more for now. old guy gets on the bus and sees a punk rocker. his hair is blue green yellow, purple, hes got feather earings and just stares at him... the punk rocker guy looks back at him and says whats the matter old man? didnt you ever do anything crazy when you were young? he says yeah, one time i f@#ked a parrot i thought you mightve been my kid. chinese couples in bed, wife says i want 69...the husband says, why you want beed with broccoli now? why dont the cheerleaders in san franscico wear short skirts? because when they sit down their balls hang out. how do you know if youre using a blondes computer? theres white out on the screen....dont get me started ill be here all day and ive got work.
  16. this reminds me of the 2000 elections when gay marriage was the the topic of debate. many have argued that was a mitigating factor for the republicans success because it got many of the voters out of the house to vote against that and thusly vote for the candidates whom they favored. i dont think this is anything knew but throwing these referendum/propositions on the ballot is a sure way to get more people out of the house and into the booths. few issues strike up passion as abortion and gay marriage. parental notification for abortion is a real moral dilemma. much more so than a simple yes/no answer. in short its loaded.
  17. i love those...got one for you; whats the difference between an epileptic corn husker and a hooker with diareah? the epileptic cornhusker shucks between fits. what do you call a female turtle? a clitortoise a lesbian dinosaur? lickalotopus. gay dinosaur? megasoreass. one more lesbian joke you should appreciate. how do you know if you are in a lesbians house? its all tongue in groove no studs. hope no ones offended. all in good fun. ok, last one. whyd the italians lose the war? the ordered ziti instead of shells!
  18. too bad, i thought it said "Chevrolet Tahoe VS. Ski Team" i think i know who'd have won that one but probably wouldve made one hell of a paint job.
  19. those are some good cars. except when a freezing rain or ice storm creates a lake of ice. what a great sounding motor too when that needle is pinned. very distinct. falls here, should cut off the belt for the air conditioner. must be a lot of fun during the winter over there.
  20. i think they went a little overboard with the chrome. especially by the fog lights but overall its pretty hard to mess up the new tahoes. most of the ones ive seen so far had some "special" touches added, wheels-rims-tint, etc. and were tasteful. the black ones really stand out in the good way when done right. i think that second pic of the side would look outstanding if you pulled up next to it at a light, but the front is a little overkill. a lot of info was gathered directly from rappers and other bling blingers---nfl, baseball, athletes in general to inspire the new escalade. i remember hearing about these special focus groups a while back. wheel size was critical--the shoes, son, chrome ...etc etc. the idea was/is to keep it as much a pop culture icon as they could and that meant listening to a host of ideas from a whole sordid variety i suppose. it works to an extent because its tremendous reference and known throughout the world. http://news.agendainc.com/mt-agenda/conten...llac_pimps.html so basically the new cadillac is the end result of what the focus groups said it needed to be in order to maintain. go figure. wonder who they were listening to before? another thing, i think the SEMA designs always go over the edge and rarely is there something 100% tasteful or perfect. i think its done somewhat purposeful so not only does it stand out it allows you to see what really works and what doesnt.
  21. and besides. thats just like your opinion, man.
  22. wow. are you really just retarded or like to bust chops. it was a joke scotthendersonfan. smoke a spliff and ....lighten up man. find your center. and the car will be laughed at before the lease is up. enjoy the prestige of a cut rate bmw with none of the allure, history, mechanics, and satisfaction but dont try to convince me. clueless? the motor is irritating. i think it sounds like $h!. dont tell me otherwise. retard. its as obnoxious as all this whining about how good a price it is. if you wait a couple years you can go to a police auction and purchase a seized one for even less money. why do you have such a hard on for this car anyway? is it because you like it? going to work on my chi now. peace man.
  23. its at about 50/51 seconds.
  24. thats not too bad and i like the pseudosantana esque guitar work. why subite though? i know silverado would have just sounded bad after the end of that but subite? thats America though now for you. and always. and i gotta say that was a bad ass bitching picture of the truck. if someone could freeze te still of the truck thatd be pretty sweet. im not that techincally inclined.
