  1. I've said the same things since day one.
  2. Oh man would I love this Z28... but I'd never be able to afford it.
  3. Yeah I'd be pushing that $40k mark also. Say $32-$34k before tax with the dealer. If I sold my '68 project I'd have about 25% down payment for one. That's still a big loan. I'll keep workin on my '68 for now.
  4. I hope this just goes to Chapt. 11.......... let's just purge the system and get it over with. It should've went Chapt. 11 the first time around.
  5. Fox news it about the only news I can stand to watch anymore. CNN is ok depending on who's on. NBC and ABC are out of the question (biased straight to the left). But regardless, the media as a whole has gotten way too bias lately.
  6. No, it's going to become an instant classis... like my Aura! Just look at what Duesenburgs bring at auction!!
  7. I drove and like the G8, will consider it for our next vehicle. Anybody think the Aura XR will become a rare classic in the future?

  9. Just read in my newest MT that Toyota is on the way to having it's first fiscal year lose. Speculating around -$1.66 billion. Not near the rate of the domestics, but goes to show you that they are having the same issues in today's market.
  10. Yeah it's not very pleasing to the eye... and there isn't a good shot of the dash either. Don't worry, ya ain't missing nothin there either!
  11. except if he buys a car in PA and sells it to someone in CA, that person has to make it meet emissions, except the new laws could make it to where if a person on the PA/OH border sells it to a person 5 miles away but in the other state, now they have to do the same.
  12. ?? every car ever sold in CA meets 50 state emission std.
  13. So now my question is, should I even try to finish my '68 camaro or will it have to meet a particular emission quality? F-in insane, ya gotta love the far left idiots. :angry2:
  14. Was just about to post this... Thanks Obama! or should I say no thanks. At least I can say I didn't vote for ya. There are several things that this guy has really pissed me off about and this one doens't help it any. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/01/26...-auto-industry/ The second memorandum will order the Environmental Protection Agency to reconsider California's request for a waiver from the Clean Air Act -- a move that would allow California, the nation's most populous state, to set tougher tailpipe emission standards than apply nationally.

  17. Basically, the "bailout" loan aka Gov't could kill the Converj becoming reality What this means in the long term?.... The Gov't will likely kill any niche/specialty type vehicles coming from Detroit.
  18. http://gm-volt.com/2009/01/15/video-exclus...irman-bob-lutz/ I had the special opportunity for a one on one exclusive interview with GM vice chairman Bob Lutz. I apologize for the sound quality as we had to go to a place where the mobs of reporters wouldn’t besiege him, and there was a lot of background noise. You may have to turn up the volume to hear it well. The video appears below. I have summarized our conversation as follows: I asked him about whether the Cadillac Converj would be produced. He said he wanted it to be and said the production clay model is already built and essentially identical. He notes financial difficulties limit the certainty for moving ahead. He also said the government would have to clear it as being worthy of advanced technology loans. He said it would be an internationally accepted vehicle. I asked him how much the car would cost, he said about “two Volts”. I asked if he believed GM was responsible for the auto industry’s recent rapid focus towards electrification, and he said he did. I also asked him why electrification was so important for him. He mentioned the need to displace oil and to achieve legislative efficiency requirements. He also explained how he believes in three years battery packs will be “way down” in price. I asked him whether GM could build packs for other companies as a new business considering their new pack assembly plant plan, and he said he saw no reason why not, although said it hadn’t been contemplated yet. He said the Volt program production volumes remain unchanged despite GM’s financial situation. Lutz said he does feel Volts wouldn’t sell as well if gas stayed at $1.50 per gallon, and that at first they won’t make GM a profit. He said the Converj would cost only slightly more than the Volt to build but yet could be sold at double the price and actually make money for GM, and that’s one of the reasons why he said he’s so enthusiastic about bringing the Converj to production.
  19. Well for Chevy you have WT, LT, LT1. LT2, LTZ... what more do you need?
  20. The sole reason we went with an Aura over a G6 was due to better interior and exterior styling of the Aura.
  21. I can only imagine these choices have to do strictly with future model lineup (those that we have no info of). I still don't understand why GMC is being kept?? Does this mean every dealership will become a Chevy/GMC/Buick/Cadillac dealer?
  22. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/12/officia...to-four-models/ Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC Pontiac - Vibe, Solstice, G8, G5 I don't get it, why keep GMC? Why do you need GMC when all of those vehicles are covered by Chevy??? And if your going to limit Pontiac to a few vehicles why the hell keep the G5?? At least keep the G6 since it's a good seller and differetiates itself from the Aura and Malibu!!!!
  23. Looks pretty good... a lot better than the currnt model, and I think it looks pretty decent.
  24. That is a fabulous looking car.... and the interior is even better! I just showed my wife and said "here's your next car" Can't wait to see it shortly at NAIAS! Now, what platform is this based from and where will it be made? EDIT: Never mind... Epsilon II and built at Fairfax
