  1. I was waiting for that.
  2. Yeah I don't see how that tan interior pic has anything misaligned. Maybe JUST BARELY on the right door/dash edge if you really want to see something wrong but that's about it. I think you're trying a little too hard to see something that's not there?
  3. Make way for EMPEROR TOYOTA. World Domination is inevitable. *Hears a certain supercharged 7.0l 600hp V8 rumble approaching* Wait, I think our General has provided us backup. :AH-HA_wink:
  4. Free world and all that. Personally I don't care if someone has bias, we all do. As long as they aren't a complete jerk or make completely baseless statements, their opinions are fine. Besides if everyone became a "Yes" man for GM, how interesting would the C&G forums be then?
  5. I vote that they refurbish old Caprices(before and after redesign), I think those things have always looked more handsome than the Ford Crown Vic in any decade.
  6. The main thing I would complain about the Bonneville's buttons is that was when GM was still using the cheap looking grey plastic. Asthetically, they just don't gel well with the rest of the black dash. They do look down-market even if they might not feel like it. I've always hated that grey button color choice for the 90's GM vehicles.
  7. Posted in the Industry News forum already: Link
  8. So it's the automaker's fault for all the pollution in Cali? Try getting more efficient public transportation and redesign some of your freeways so there is less gridlock(hence more pollution) before going to sue the six top automakers of the country. Next they'll sue the boating industry for polluting California's waters because they use THEIR waters for transporting. I wonder if any of the car manufacture HQs in Cali feel a little weary of being based there all of a sudden..
  9. Seems good, the 260hp should be managable even in FWD form. Going past 300 is where the grey area starts to begin and then it depends even more on the setup of the rest of the car. I've been noticing the HHR has been showing up a lot more lately, even more so than new PT Cruisers. I think the HHR did retro better than the PT Cruiser, the Chevy has a certain blockiness to it that helps.
  10. It's alright, never been a fan of triple center vents. I think the Accord's interior is still better than the new Altima and Camry for that matter. I guess the same thing I said about the G35 applies to the new Altima too: it just looks a little too similar to last year's model. Still though, it IS an improvement I just don't have any inclination to purchase one of these.
  11. Not bad, I always thought the Legacy was a nice car. The V bent chrome shape on the grill seems off to me though.
  12. Interior looks pretty nice, exterior reminds me of a Hyundai Tucson or Kia Sportage. Kinda let down...the PreVue concept looked great. Of course, going to wait till official pics come out before passing on full final judgement.
  13. For a second I thought you were serious till I noticed the smiley

    Acura RDX

I'm actually a member over at TOV(Yes we're a Honda AND GM family) but I didn't check out that dyno vid yet. Interesting results indeed. Maybe I was too quick to judge...course I did say "I just don't see the RDX as being worthy enough of a price premium, at least not yet." :AH-HA_wink: As for the CX-7, I don't like it too much and I'm still unsure of Mazda's reliability. I have frequented their boards and seen some ugly problems pop up. For most people however, the RDX and CX-7 are similar enough that I see some people picking the CX-7 over the Acura. I personally would pick the RDX as I really do like the thing, but its not giving me the same reaction as seeing the new MDX does. That new MDX looks like a possible segment leader, the RDX seems like it will do good, but...yeah. For the record, the sound of the RDX revving up was awesome. I always love listening to dyno tests...
  15. Real world pics of the MDX are damn beautiful. The wood works well with the black interior. The rear is also very nice looking in these pics. I can see what people are saying about the Suzuki XL-7 but in my eyes, the XL-7's front end looks like it was stretched down due to the headlights ending further down than the grille. Meh, love this car Still prefer the MDX in darker colors to help contrast with the grill more.

    Acura RDX

I like the RDX, but it doesn't push the envelope of the segment or anything. Unlike some of Honda/Acura's other products, this feels less special to me since its just another entry, nothing to separate it from the crowd of other sport SUVs. It's a brand new product and it doesn't lead the market in many of its aspects whether it be mileage, power, roominess etc. The value of it is good compared to the BMW X3, but then of course there's the Mazda CX-7 which is a value version of the RDX. I just don't see the RDX as being worthy enough of a price premium, at least not yet. I DO however want to test drive that sucker, just because I know that turbo coupled with the SH-AWD has got to be fun and I want to see how well their first turbo application in the US is. I'm sure its a great handler no doubt, but I think the overall package is somewhat underwhelming.
  17. The tan one is the best color of the new Tundra I've seen so far. The long bed ver however just looks ridiculous, granted I know the bed is supposed to be that long but the proportions just look messed up. The grille with that little slit at the top makes me think unneccesary and overstyled. Why do you need that tiny black slit there? The tailgate design is kind of interesting, makes me wonder had GM done something similar, would there be less complaints, instead of the weird contured out smiley.
  18. Getting back on topic.. I think the new interior is a much needed improvement over last year's entry. The only thing that really sticks out as yuck on this car is the steering wheel. It reminds me of a kid's toy being all bold and wide like that. The tan color scheme is decent, but the black with aluminum looks better. Also I prefer the Pontiac Wave's interior as the Pontiac(slowing becoming a signature) chrome rings are more attractive. Now we'll have Pontiac dealers clamoring for a Wave of their own, which I oppose as I really do want Pontiac to become the sport branch of GM. I wish the Aveo at least had the same gauge pods as the Wave, sans chrome rings.
  19. At least now you can stop hitting your head on the brick wall
  20. Good update to the site. I like the new streamlined look, its simpler and looks more professional and conveys the theme of sportiness better than the previous design. I'm glad they didn't go overkill on the flash, which is consistent with the rest of GM's websites. I like fast loading vs fancy long intros. Nice job guys, btw that swirling color specific background on the G6, G5, Vibe and Torrent sections are cool looking Perhaps the website team is cooking up something special for the GTO, GP and Solstice parts..
  21. Agreed. I like the previous front end better
  22. I want one of those, base version is fine for me... Price is about what I expected. Not bad honestly, considering the style and equipment it has over the last gen MDX. Too bad the new and old MDX are out of my price range...I want an Enclave too, but same problem
  23. Love the front and interior design. The back needs major work, I've never liked that spoiler sitting down on the window like that. If it was raised up to the roofline I think it would look less like a car-sized egg. I read in Europe though, they love the boldness of the new Civic hatchback.
  24. I find these ads amusing, and at least it does its job of grabbing someone's attention. Funny ad, ugly car. Although I can see people going to the dealership thinking the Versa is a lot bigger than it really is thanks to its minivan looks. I'd probably take a Fit over a Versa, love the rear seat capabilities of that car. Refreshed Aveo isn't too bad, but I'm not a fan of altezza tail lights EDIT:Here's the that I've been seeing multiple times a day. Nissan must've dumped some funds into their advertising budget..
  25. Hm going to have to disagree with you there. Since we're talking appearances here, neither one of us is truly correct over the other. In my eyes the CTS's looks are just not appealing in any form whatsoever. The design doesn't look refined thanks to its oddly proportioned taillights and rear(which is my biggest strike against the car) and the front is just decent looking. I would never buy a current-gen CTS, used or otherwise. I just purely think its an ugly car, which we all have our own lists of, this Cadillac just happens to be on mine. The SSV GP is really nice and I already would take one over the current CTS. Taking one over TL, well it would depend on price which I haven't seen yet. Most importantly though are the driving dynamics, which I'm sure would be rocking with the SSV. Maybe the Next-Gen CTS will be a much greater improvement over its predecessor, from the spyshots the interior seems to be a lot better already. Let's hope they fix the outside too.
