'07 GTI, Si, and MazdaSpeed 3 dyno tests.
And, yay, GTI wins for being the most powerful one with a linear delivery. All reports I've read indicate that the Mazda Mazdaspeed Mazda3 (or is it Mazda Mazda3 Mazdaspeed?) has too much power for its own good.

JUST RETURNED FROM GM CANADA DEALER ONLY CAR SHOW
Great news. A Cobalt hybrid would be excellent.

Toyota Launches Redesigned E14 Corolla
Since when was "looking like a GTO" a good thing? I remember when loads of C&Gers -ed about it looking too much like a Cavalier. The Cobalt SS does have cool Corvette-inspired tail lights, I'll give you that. And the greenhouse is kinda traditional coupe-ish, the way the rear glass enters C-pillar territory.

help me save my familys garage!
Volvo S40? Saab 9-3? Those are American but without the American stigma.

SPIED! 2008 Pontiac Vibe
The Vibe isn't powerful, but it's the most fuel-efficient car that GM sells.

M6 Convertible Price Released
I never got the M6 coupe because the M5 sedan was just more impressive: nearly the same performance in a four-door package. The M6 convertible, however, makes sense if you're into that sort of thing. It'll destroy a SL550 and still seat four.

First Drive: 2007 Suzuki XL7
Too blah. It's competitive but not compelling. The interior still screams second-tier mfg.

Toyota Launches Redesigned E14 Corolla
MKV Golf/Jettas have a multilink rear design, not torsion beam.

Rolls-Royce Phantom
No, it's a Phaeton. If I wanted a big Volkswagen, I'd buy a big Volkswagen.

Toyota Launches Redesigned E14 Corolla
Twist-beam, like the Cobalt. The conventional wisdom out there is that Astra is worst-handling of all the Germans (Focus, Golf, Astra). Apparently the VXR version has insane torque steer and insane understeer. And I'd still have it over the 3.

Celica?

Rolls-Royce Phantom
I love the Phantom. I think it's a great design, but I also think it's too eccentric for its own good. And it's tainted by the sort of people who buy one, people who make it more vulgar and ostentatious than it really is.

New 2007 Silverado "Our Country. Our Truck."
I haven't seen that one. But if it really exists, I'll bash it even more than the Silverado ad.

Toyota Launches Redesigned E14 Corolla
I'd take a Golf/Rabbit, EU Focus, EU Civic, C4, or even an Astra over a 3 anyday.

Z06 vs 911 Turbo around a track
If I did the driving, I'm pretty sure the 911 would do it quicker -- AWD and automatic. I'd wrap the Z06 around a tree.

2007 Acura MDX Preview
Between the new X5 and this, deciding on a luxury midsize 'ute is getting tough. And there's the Q7 and SRX, too...
-
New 2007 Silverado "Our Country. Our Truck."
Exactly. It's like saying "Buy this truck because it's American, not because it's any good!"

New 2007 Silverado "Our Country. Our Truck."
WTH is up with the Rosa Parks footage? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYNZzTUjSok...related&search= GM is turning off a lot of potential customers, IMO. Wasn't Hannity bad enough?

New 2007 Silverado "Our Country. Our Truck."
I finally saw the ads and they were awfully cliche. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at what could've been a Wal-Mart ad.

Here's one of them...

Toyota fears bigger Sequoia is, well, too big
The majority of Sequoias I see are used for the school run. A unibody crossover like the Outlook would sell better.

Toyota Launches Redesigned E14 Corolla
I wouldn't drive one, but it looks like a successful refresh. The body looks more substantial, and the Yaris cues make it a bit funkier.

Mitsubishi Plans to Provide Electric Car for U.S.
I would hope so. Nissan has had their li-ion Altra for nine years now, and it's baffling to understand why it's taking so long.

DCX to Produce Their Own DSG
DSG is a great alternative to power-sapping torque converter automatics. It works well on small-engined economy cars, which need all the help they can get.
