Wow, the hatch doesn't look all that "economy" apart from the way the body sits on the wheels. It's much better without the sedan's uber-high side molding. $109152 is sort of expensive for this segment, though, regardless of features. My, how things have changed; at that price, I'd get a 750Li, but that's just me. I still remember when rear stabilizer bars were optional equipment on Accents.

Gee, it's not like GM hasn't had a 280hp Grand Prix gracing the showrooms for a number of years now, or a 303hp Impala this year. Apparently it's only newsworthy/noteworthy when a Asian make does it. See the Ridgeline's "innovative" dual-hinge tailgate for more details... Pontiac and Chevy do sell "special muscle cars", though. And the 303hp and 260hp engines are only found in special sporting versions of ordinary Impalas and Grand Prixs.

Yep, the Camaro (and the Corvette, SSR, GTO, Solstice, SKY, XLR...) is more of an image-building thing. Obviously the public won't switch from the millions of practical cars they buy each year, but hopefully it will make buying a Cobalt or Impala a cooler thing to do.

I forgot the Galant even exists... this should draw it some attention. The specs seem compelling; I'd get one over a Camry or Accord just because it's more unique. Oh yeah I saw a parchmenty silver GTS version yesterday. Overall I liked the styling, apart from the nose. The tail lights seemed cool.

If it's the same as the new Sedona, the interior isn't roomy enough, regardless of numbers. The Odyssey and Sienna are the only minivans that can comfortably fit adults in all three rows.

Cool... there's just something cool about an incredibly fast family tourer, though it really needs a 3-passenger second row. 6-passengers is just one more than an S-class can comfortably fit. As far as the interior, it's too industrial for my liking, almost as if it were entirely engineered (not designed) on a computer. Whatever happened to the craftsman-like CLS or SL interior?

Cloth interior has been available on previous ES and GS models, though few dealers seemed to have carried them. My cousin has a '97 ES300 in incredible condition, and part of what makes it so nice is the cloth, IMO. Any leather on a car with 130K miles would have been shiny, wrinkled, and stretched by now. And the car itself... honestly, it's more refined and comfortable than a brand-new Malibu or something. This new ES should continue to sell well.

The Ridgeline is only available with standard AWD and has a frame beneath the Pilot-derived unibody structure.

I remember C&D and Edmunds talking about them. But any serious g-forces would probably dislodge an ice cream scoop from its cone first.

Now that I think it over, even though the interior design is too far away from the original IMO, it looks best in class... better than the pieced-together Odyssey or generic Sienna.

Lots of weird decisions made by Lincoln... but regardless, the "MKZ" looks like an excellent product. If priced similarly to the Zephyr, it should attract buyers from A4s, S60s, TLs, and ES330s. Love it!

Not that much better, IMO... I like the Quest's current "pedestal" dash. The seats look nice, though; they're very lounge-like. The roof/sunroof/console still has far too many cutlines... it could be executed better.

Well, sort of... the ones on the GM vans were mounted from the bottom and couldn't retract completely once "on". The Civic's are essentially copies of this: I love articulating wipers the most... the ones that reach the corners. The wipers in our 5-series leave behind almost no unwiped glass at all... in fact, they're not reversed on RHD cars.

I think it looks very nice so far... the crease on the side looks magnifique.
