If you were coerced...
No, it's Flying Spur now.

New car shopping...
The V50 is a great car... it's very stylish, very comfortable, and very friendly. Volvo offers a great overseas delivery program as well.

Top speed...
Meh... there aren't enough long stretches of road here, but on our way to Las Vegas, I did manage to maintain ~100 MPH for a few minutes. Knowing BMW speedometer accuracy, that's probably like 95...

GM sales chief says automaker needs all brands
People who are passionate about a car aren't passionate only because it's sporty or high-performing. I know people (our neighbor) who've driven the roadsters (Boxster), the sport sedans (330i), and the coupes (911) who are equally proud of and enthusiastic about their "appliance" (Pilot).

Chicago: 2007 Subaru B9 Tribeca
There was one following me yesterday... have to say it looks pretty unique and attractive. I'd have one over a Pilot, MDX, or Highlander, but probably not the updated Murano.

Column vs. Floor Shifter
That'd be nice, as long as it doesn't take an eternity to engage.

Pontiac G6 Aluminum Dash
Well that's a good picture... sadly, the GTP interior looks awful in person, IMO.

Pontiac G6 Aluminum Dash
Wow, that's surprisingly decent. I wouldn't have the piece that surrounds the radio presets (or the lower center console or the driver's seat base), but the center stack trim really works. It'd be even nice if it looked more like brushed aluminum and less like spray-painted silver plastic. Even a darker "shadow" silver would be better, IMO.

NEW Saturn Outlook spy pics
I have faith that I'll end up liking this one more than the Enclave, if it's anything like the Sky or an Opel.

If you were coerced...
The GX470 seems strangely appealing... it's incredibly refined and posh, but because of its 4Runner underpinnings, also tough and rugged, kinda like a Japanese Range Rover. It's not sporty by any means, but I'd have one over the carlike RX350 simply because you sit higher, there's more glass, and it's rarer. The upcoming Camry doesn't look bad, and the current Tundra Double Cab is a good balance.

Toyota... ummmmm, still thinking...... BRB, have to go to the Toyota website.

Are we ever going to get a G6 GXP?
The GTP should have been the "GXP."

Detroit's Pony Car Dilemma
Clearly that's irrelevant, OC. What matters most is how fast it can circumnavigate a 300-ft circle.

Fresh load of Camaro Pics at Autodeadline
Plus there was too much metal... I didn't like how it made my hands smell.

mens downhill
I know... I couldn't help thinking that I'd love to have that suspension in a car.

C/D review of Lucerne on stands
We agree to disagree. The Lucerne is a competent car that's homely in design but nevertheless competitive.

Spy Photos: 2008 Buick Enclave
Yes, I've mentioned before that it looks like a really sophisticated minivan on stilts. Looking at it from the front is a bit awkward... the grille is insanely high and overall it's a bit bubbly... but regardless, you can really tell GM were trying hard and sticking to the details. I like the Centieme better myself.

Chicago: 2007 Lexus ES
A FWD car with that much power can get downright scary. Instead, I think a six-speed auto would do wonders by retaining the same level of driveability and having the same peak power more accessible for more of the time. Currently, the Lucerne can go 104 mph in second gear. The RWD Northstars produce ~320 horsepower.

SONATA
Interestingly, their long-term Cobalt LT is only getting 25.3 MPG so far.

The Death Penalty
No, because there is always room for a mistake.

Spy Photos: 2008 Buick Enclave
I have a feeling it'll look even nicer than the concept, once stripped of its grotesque copper paint, blingy wheels, and overused chrome.
