  1. Recession is good, it shakes up the economy and causes new ideas to forge and spring up the economy again. It is like a mini revolution.
  2. No tuner will be touching that engine bay for a while.
  3. As to that, the reason why GM vehicles in general are heavy, I quizzed it to none other than Jim Taylor at the South Florida Auto Show. He said that GM does not use high strength aluminum and steel to keep the weight down like the Germans do, thus the weight gain. This is concurrent to what I posted earlier. Cadillac's Weight And regarding the CTS, he says it is a 5-series "sized" car and features priced at 3-series sized car. But he did not divulge if it will have a bread and butter V-8 standard on it like the 550i. Yeah, at least they should make the BRX full time AWD like the Acuras. I understand having a common platform for all the vehicles. But I think it is a step backward for Caddy.
  4. She will fly off and live on Mount Everest.
  5. I hope GM does not abandon this small truck and UTE market. Things are not looking too bright for those in the near future.

    cobalt SS

I discussed this in the SEMA Cobalt SS release. Theoritically we should see an increase in the mileage for the following reasons: 1. DI is more efficient the the regular 2.0 used in the supercharged SS. 2. The DI turbo gives better gas mileage in the Kappas than the 2.4 ecotec, although the final gear ratio for the DI version is lower than the ecotec. Assuming the same for the Cobalt we can see a couple of mpg jump in the highway mileage compared to the 2.4L. 3. Generally turbocharger is more fuel efficient than supercharger.
  11. Wait another couple of months.
  12. I talked to Fly on the way to Miami about this, and he said that he will take care with the host. Is the search based on Windows 95?
