  2. The 300 (especially) is overrated in terms of design, luxury, and 'hipness.' Its a box with a waffle iron on the front and a lousy interior inside. Sure, it has the Hemi, but so does that Charger and the Charger isn't saddled with the Briggs & Straton 2.7l on its base trim. Also, the Charger is cheaper with more standard features versus a base 300.

Ohhhh that's B.S.....who deleted the comment?!
  4. Eww! That still sounds like a wagon. Bonneville!
  5. The Durango is a pile and the Aspen is a chromed pile.
  6. Especially in 'people mover' style vehicles.
  7. Are you going to post another link to the Trilateral Commission? Freemasons? Aliens?
  8. As said, you're never going to be in the market for this kind of vehicle, so why do you even care? Similarly, I'm never going to be buying a Lambo, so what do I care if they do _______ to one? Again, you don't like it, so its wrong. Good thing you don't run GM.
  9. Well, keep in mind this is educated speculation based on a few different factors, such as the GMT-355 H3 showing its completely possible, the prolonged stringing out of the current GMT-360s with minor updates, and the news that GM and Isuzu are again working together on a next-generation compact/small pickup truck for arounf the end of the decade. Plus, its all too easy to imagine a Colorado with a permenant camper shell as a reasonable Trailblazer successor. Finally, people will still buy the five or six core midsize SUVs, fuel prices be damned. They have strong followings.
  10. He broke the law, a law he should be stupidly aware of given all his advertising he's personally starred in. You can't justify this or even say he shouldn't get a harsh punishment.
  11. Speaking of poor packaging, how can a car as large as the Avalon (as well as being shaped in such an ungainly matter) have such a pathetic trunk? 15.2 cu ft is it? Granted, I have 16.5 cu ft, but damn, my car looks good from the rear. Looking at the Avalon, you should be able to fit a basketball court inside.

There's a place around here that's the self-professed 'Home of the 4-Door Wrangler.' I'll take some pics next time I drive by.

  15. The difference is General Electric has become a major player in many significant fields. Toyota has not. Honda has. GM was.

The thing is, stereotypes exist for a reason. Everyone who is a(n) _________ is not that way and the majority of them may not be at all, but at least one is and many were, and its always the exception that gets the attention. You tell more stories about the car salesman who screwed you than the one that got you a good deal. Its the way people are.
  17. The cost of the extra letters for the badging.
  18. General Motors was also a larger defense contractor than it presently is back when it had Hughes under its wings.
  19. I don't see the 4Runner going anywhere. It has its place. I believe the 4Runner, Explorer, Grand Cherokee, Pathfinder, and Trailblazer will be on only truck-based midsize SUVs to make it out of this decade alive. Hopefully, the Trailblazer will return to its roots riding on the NG compact pickup GM is working on, perhaps with a 3-door Trailblazer Sport version. I don't think any segment will ever die completely, midsize truck-based 'utes included. It'll just consist of the real good ones, like it did before. All of those have some sort of following made up of people who like them for the trucks they are, not those that use them to substitute station wagons, sedans, and minivans.
  20. The Veyron is beyond exotic; its masterful. So far beyond anything else even considered exotic. But believe me, for those price ranges, I wouldn't even be looking at mere cars... Piper Meridian - $1.8mil
  21. Exactly. Even the Highlander is a bit smaller, though I'm sure the next one will grow. I see Acadia's direct competitors as the Pacifica, Freestyle, XC90, Pilot, R350 (to an extent)...a move-up vehicle from the current Highlander, Murano, GM Thetas, etc....and a move-down vehicle from the Sequoia, Expedition, etc.
  22. Blame the auto 'journalists' for it. If I were Cadillac and people constantly bitched about the real wood looking fake, I wouldn't care anymore either.
  23. A Mark VIII is light years ahead of any other crap at Lincoln aside from the Continental. Be wary of faulty air suspensions, though. Make sure all is well before signing.
