It'll be 4 years for me on the 28th.

What exactly is wrong with Buells? The XB9R Firebolt my uncle had was quite the bike. Sure, it's no Ducati. Have you ever ridden one? Try it before you judge.

Well, the one thing I do know is that the rattling isn't the catalytic converter. It's most definitely in the engine. Occurs whenever the engine is being stressed, like going up a hill without the transmission downshifting, or when flogging it. I told Drew about it in more detail and he said it's probably detonation from the timing being off.

Chris told me to. Don't look at me, I'm just his little messenger. He says, I do.

Started with an inch of snow, turned to sleet, got another 2 inches of slow, turned to sleet, turned to rain, alternated for a few hours and then a few more inches of snow and its still coming down. Not as bad as everyone around here thought it would be.

Yesterday, me and the family went shopping in my dad's big, bright red F250. Not an easy thing to miss, by any means. That didn't stop some dumb broad in a Windstar. Slowing down for traffic stopped at intersection, she must have been blind. As we stop, we feel a jerk and hear a pop. We were rearended. My dad is cursing like a sailor. We pull off, the dumb broad follows suit. My dad gets out to inspect. Well, what do you know... she rammed the hitch. No damage to the truck, but she f@#ked up front bumper. Dumb bitch. Yes, yes... Not really a highlight of the curse, but it was mentionable. Otherwise, winter driving is interesting. The only vehicles you see wrecking and getting stuck are SUVs, it seems. Passed one Explorer that lost it and bounced off the gaurdrail, and then an Envoy that lost it from the opposite direction and was in the median nearly on our side of the highway. Both instances happened on straight portions of the road, as well. How incompetent of a driver do you need to be to lose control while going straight? It's not exactly easy unless you're doing something stupid. Later on, while in the Cutlass, I was followed someone in a Grand Cherokee who was having issues making it up a hill. Do you need a manual to operate your 4wd system? Even so, I had no issues. Speaking of which, I'm beginning to turn into Sixty8. Whoever says RWD and snow doesn't mix obviously has no idea how to drive, especially with atleast two snow tires. In most cases, the only times I slid were completely intentional. I hate snow, but I love driving in it. Reminds me of the good days when I had my Honda 300EX. Going sideways around a slight bend at 40 mph is joyous, as is drifting around city streets and letting it loose in an empty parking lot. Such fun, driving like an idiot is. Except for when the snow turns to slush. Then it's just a terror where it doesnt want to turn, doesnt want to stop, doesnt want to go... doesnt want to do anything but slide around sporadically. Was about half a foot from side swiping a tree that was illogically close to the road at one time. I went to turn and it just went straight. My instincts are still set for FWD characteristics and that doesn't always work. T'was my only close call and it ironically happened when I was driving at a more than safe speed. Either way, I got around fine... Everyone was telling me about how bad it would be driving the Cutlass in the winter, but its been a relative breeze. Moving on to the final and unrelated subject... This entire month of December has been royal hell emotionally. For the first time in a while, I was actually looking forward to my birthday. I somehow thought things would be different this year. I had a little get together planned with a group of some of my better friends and I imagined fun times. As they say, the more things change, the more they stay the same. One after another, everyone had to cancel. Not one person could show up. It's times like this where I really feel like I am alone in the world. Certainly makes one feel like $h!. I thought atleast one person would make it. We talk nearly every night and I've grown to really like him. I hoped he'd make it more than anyone and in the end, it seemed like he was going to be the only one. Despite everyone else not making it, I would have been happy to just be able to spend my birthday with him. It was just more of the same. Disappointed, I tried to shrug it off and we made plans to hang out a week later, yesterday. All I could think was that things appeared to finally be working themselves out. Yet again, I was proved wrong. To his credit, his parent's have what kept him from coming, but it still hurts. I don't understand why it's so hard to have an enjoyable birthday. Year after year, heartbreak after heartbreak. It's becoming more of dread than it is a celebration. That's life, I suppose. I might as well come to accept the fact that life is supposed to be dreadful, not joyful. Enjoying your birthday? Who ever heard of such a thing?! I once did, but the hope for such whisks away year after year after dreadful year. Next year, I tell myself, I'll have the birthday I deserve.

You guys don't like the AZ Wagon?! Blasphemy! It's so... um... something... As for the Cutlass, it was a severe case of flooding that kept it from starting for 4 straight days. So much so that it got into the oil, of which I'll have to change sometime soon, if I'm not too lazy. Otherwise, a new water pump and thermostat has seemed to fix the overheating problem... and the heater, which has steadily become quite a hot one. As well, my dad found an exhaust leak under the hood and temporarily fixed it. Not sure if that contributed to it any, but it had to have been there when we bought it since it lost it's personality. The engine is quite muted now and is even more gutless than it was in the first place. Fixing the leak seems to have made the carburetor issues less prominent, while the check engine light and rattling issue are more prominent. Oh well.. it's running.

Whatever you do... do concrete. Dirt floors are hell. Ask my dad.

I'm moving to Death Valley... Anyone coming with?

Not at the moment, anways.

Chevy has one, too.

Clicky. Here he is doing what he does best... posting while drunk.

The Cutlass has been up and running since Sunday. But who cares about that? I'm sure something else had you sitting there pulling your hair over what it could be. That vehicle... in my sig... it's a lovely Mazda AZ-Wagon. You probably said to yourself "Hmm, that looks alot like the Scion xB", but it actually predates it, back to 1994. What you see if actually the latest of many facelifts on the 3rd gen. It's based on the lovely Suzuki Wagon R. I know, it must have been killing you wondering what it was.

That might actually be sort of cool if it weren't for the double axle setup.
-
I'd like to do that to my old Mongoose. I never did get it fixed, I just sort of borrowed my dad's for good.
-
I took a drive... lots of branches on the roads, but the roads were mostly fine, ice wise.
-
Looks to be decently close to the concept. I Wish it could be 99.9% the same, but oh well. Seems like the lines aren't as sharp... but perhaps that is a result of poor photography.

Same people are just stupid, that settles it.

Ice storm here.

Such silly excuses. You guys want GM to be their best and beat their competitors, yet, you settle for good enough. Where has that ever gotten anyone? The Malibu goes against the Camry, Accord, Altima, Fusion, etc. There is NO reason it shouldn't have something that they do if it truly wants to compete. You have to be the best, to beat the best. Stop making excuses for why the Malibu doesn't have certain features, even if you think it doesnt need them. The Malibu seems to be a great car, but these arguements are justified. End of discussion. At one time, I'm sure ABS brakes, automatic transmissions, power windows, CD players, bucket seats, etc were all thought of as luxury features that wouldnt sell to the masses.

There seemed to be more than a few available for under $200 on Sears, Best Buy, and Circuit City's websites. Casio offers 10 or so models in that price range. I may consider one that's a bit over $200, but it depends on my parent's budget, since this would be an Xmas gift. Having never actually played before, I probably don't need a proffessional one. That'd be like getting a Corvette as a first car. Isn't all that necessary. What do you guys think of these? Casio LK300TV - $199.95 @ Circuit City. It's lighted for ease of learning has a good amount of features, much moreso than the next one. Casio WK110 - $169.99 @ Best Buy. A little outdated in features, but from Casio's workstation line of keyboards, meaning its semi-proffessional. Casio WK3300 - $299.99 @ Sears. Not sure if I need one as nice as this, but as with above, its semi-proffessional and is updated with many many features. Yamaha YPT400 - $159.99 @ Circuit City. Its full of features and its cheap. Only 61 keys and not quite as nice as Casio's workstation keyboards, but could work for me. Yamaha DGX220 - $299.99 @ Best Buy. Like Casio's workstation keyboards but with slightly different features, although, not as many. Again, not sure if I need one this nice.

I thought my new sig killed the site, having to show up for all of my 8600 posts, and whatnot.

Is there any of you here? I'm looking to get a keyboard. Some guys play drums, some guys play guitar... Me, I want to play piano. Always wanted to, but lately this feeling has been increased for some unknown reason. I figure, being that time of year, it'd make a nice gift for myself. I just wondering what I should look for. There are many of them out there and I have no idea what ones are good, bad, complex, or simple. I'd say the maximum price for one would be $200. Any suggestions, if anyone here actually knows any more than I do?

Actually, no. It's more like this.. GMC Acadia up front. BMW X3 in the sides. BMW 3er wagon/Hyundai Veracruz out back.

I think we all need to do the right thing here... and donate our life savings for better host that isn't as retarded. Two days without C&G was killer.
