  1. I wish I had pictures from each time our old Regal met a deer. Those... were nasty. That's nothing. Glad to hear about your Grandma, though.
  2. It's certainly not my driveway... Oh no, it's far from here. In fact, it's in the middle of the woods... It just didn't make it home in one piece. ...f@#king flat tires. This is the second one on a set of perfectly good tires, atleast, good enough to have passed inspection. This time, I didn't have a spare tire, since, it's in use from the flat I had a month ago. As per my wish list, new tires are in order. And, well, I have to work tomorrow morning. This is going to be interesting. Shopping... on black friday... for tires. Then... getting the Beast... and putting the new tires on... all before work. Granted, I don't think my Mom works, so I could just get a ride to work. My Dad may not either and might be doing the tire shopping and installing. Cheap cars... You gotta love 'em. I think it's time I try getting a car that requires payments. I don't need anymore cars requiring TLC. My Millenia did me extremely well until minor needs met a random problem and the money needed to put into it wasn't there. But, I'm beginning to think I can't take these chances. I need to get a car that can be trusted right off the lot (or driveway, if from a private party). Whether or not I can actually afford that is another story. Sure, I have a job now, but it's minimum wage with hours that fluctuate sharply. I might not have a choice in the matter. The Beast, despite starting off as a good deal, is turning into a real money pit. After tires are purchased, the total amount invested will rise above $1000. I don't think I can justify putting anymore money into it. The real irony in all this is, however, that the amount we've invested is more than what I would have needed to put my Millenia back on the road... and the carburetor and alternator problems haven't been fixed yet. You know, I guess I just have to laugh at it all. *shakes head* f@#king cars. I should just move to NYC with my friend. No more worries.
  3. I didn't see it posted anywhere, so I figured I would. For more pictures, Clicky Per my opinion... I'm actually aspiring to own a Hyundai. The dip of the window is very odd... but overall it looks nice. As well, who can hate on an affordable compact RWD coupe? The production version shouldnt be much different going by all the pictures out there of it. As I said before, I look forward to being able to see it in person.
  4. I'm confused... I thought this was a Chrysler? Well.. where is it? all I see is an Elantra with a mushed Cadillac fascia grafted on... Atleast the Dodge Neo and Jeep Renegade look unique and certainly cool, especially the Neo.
  5. That would be suicide. I nominate this for second worst idea ever behind Chrysler's brand management proposal.
  6. Oh... the chances of me owning a J-body or a Neon are pretty equal... and pretty nonexistent. :P
  7. It's less of a jellybean than any GM sedan sold from 1995-2002 and no more generic than any Buick of time. Since we're on the topic of Holden's, it's also less generic and much less of a jellybean than the GTO most of us love. If you consider that the Millenia's design originated 8 years earlier than the Monaro's (1993 compared to 2001), it's really not that sad for me. Sir, that is, thus, check... and... mate.
  8. Well, it's certainly not squealing in the trunk. That... would be something.
  9. Hmm... I never had that problem. No help to me, then.
  10. Too bad it's neither generic nor a jellybean.
  11. Bitch, please. Good to see the CTS get an award.
  12. So... No memory management problems? So it won't randomly lose my cookies despite my settings to save them like FF2?
  13. A distributor, tires, brakes, speakers, another car, a new bedroom set, clothes, electronics, and a some porn... Ah, porn.
  14. The only time I can get the tires to screech is going around a turn. That spare tire screams like no other... I barely have to turn the wheel. The rear tires during sudden acceleration, however? If tires screeched in the rain, I could. Otherwise, it doesn't pump out enough power to do anything on dry pavement. Not even by building up torque with the brakes. It's really quite pathetic. The Beast is more gutless than my old Grand Am. I need a clutch... Those work well for the task at hand. You try spinning or screeching the tires in a RWD, 3500+ lb, 140hp (probably more like 120 after 23 years) car. It's not that easy without a slippery surface.
  15. Who needs that when you can have this? Haha... Fly is going to get you. Hide!
  16. I don't think size is the problem... I've had much fun in my Millenia, which is nearly identical in size. The difference: It actually has power, even with a f@#ked up distributor. The Beast is gutless.
  17. No, don't get an Olympus, they're junk. Canon or Nikon have always made good cameras. Your best bet would be either of those.
  18. How about something that grows right before your eyes!
  19. Luckilly for me, I couldn't screech the tires in the Cutlass no matter how hard I tried.
  20. I can make it look like another part of anatomy if you really must...
  21. As for my reasoning... Simply put, the Chase Format. It has stolen just another Championship from Jeff Gordon. Six times, he has earned the most points in a season, which used to constitute winning the championship. For any doubters of him, he'd be one away from tying for most of all time with Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty. No small feat. Instead, he's relegated to being just a 4 time champion. Since when does dominating the season points total by nearly 400 points mean finishing second? Would the aformentioned drivers still be 7 time champions with the Chase format? That, above all, is why I am done with NASCAR.
  22. That I'm no longer a NASCAR fan. Bash away.
  23. The Honda Fit is really the only decent subcompact and the only one worth buying. Otherwise, they all suck, Aveo included.
  24. Sure does make the G6 seem more and more redundant. And it's a Hyundai. Surprised? I, personally, can't wait until it's officially revealed to get a detailed look at it. It looks good so far, other than that odd beltline aft of the doors.
  25. One thing... The Firebird, along with the Camaro, were dead far before Lutz took over. He also gave us the GTO. Love it or hate it, it brought back performance to Pontiac. As did the Solstice, also Lutz's doing. And now the G8. Pontiac hater? If he hated Pontiac, he'd truly do some damage. Perhaps he'd take the Mercury route and keep giving it redundant products, much like the Grand Prix is now. If you think the lineup sucks now, I'd love to see your opinion of one without Lutz's influence. He is SAVING Pontiac, not killing it. It's in the form of baby steps, but I'd much rather it be this than to not have had these three wonderful vehicles. The brand still has a ways to go, namely in the form of getting back on the right track of styling. I personally don't have a problem with G8's design in itself and I have defended it through and through. I won't try to pass it off as perfection, but ask yourself what really matters. This unrelenting disgust for a superb vehicle that Pontiac needs desperately? Or letting it run it's course so that the chance of an even greater successor following is possible? Think about it. I, for one, am fed up with all this hypocrisy.
