Should I Buy This?
No... He's far from done. He's much worse than I ever was. That Lesabre will last about a month before he gets bored with it and buys another.

Bob Lutz Explains Why The Pontiac GTO Failed
Agreed. GM has more dealers than it needs in the first place. Within a 30 mile radius of Brookville, there are 7 dealers that sell Pontiac and 5 dealers that sell Buicks. This is rural PA. Isn't that a bit excessive?

The Quickest Cars of 2007: $25,000 to $30,000. - Features
True. Not a surprising one, either. Car and Driver had good things to say when it first came out. GM should have done more for the handling, though. Reaching .82 Gs is good, but not spectacular, especially when you consider a soft suspensioned Millenia can do the same.

I might as well get mine in. It looks like $h! and is lacking a view, but here it is.

Bob Lutz Explains Why The Pontiac GTO Failed
Don't have the figures for the entire year, but Jan-Nov 2006 BMW sales are as follows. BMW cars: 192k total, 38k AWD 3-Series: 107k total, 24k AWD 5-Series: 49k total, 14k AWD 7-Series: 16k total, 0k AWD 6-Series: 8k total, 0k AWD Z4: 11k total, 0k AWD As far as Audi, other than the R8 and TT, all their vehicles are based on FWD platforms and only offers AWD on most of them.

Bob Lutz Explains Why The Pontiac GTO Failed
Of BMW cars sold in 2006, only 20% were AWD.

Bob Lutz Explains Why The Pontiac GTO Failed
No one is saying it has to have the prices that generally come with a niche brand. Obviously, Pontiac doesn't have the brand recognition for that. However, to say Pontiac would fail as a niche brand is just senseless. It's going to be a niche brand whether or not it has "mainstream" vehicles sold under it. What do you think BPG is? It's three niche brands being sold in a single sales channel. GMC will handle upscale trucks, Buick will handle luxury vehicles, and Pontiac will handle performance vehicles. Is FWD necessary to survive? Not at all. I will say that, in order for a predominately RWD lineup to succeed, it alteast needs AWD as an option. Regardless of one's personal bias towards drive wheels, RWD does sell. Look at BMW, Chrysler's LX cars, Ford's Mustang. Pontiac can offer a mainstream vehicle, but why FWD when GM has two other brands that will suit that need better? There is no reason RWD can't sell as a mainstream vehicle.

Technically, it's pretty much identical to mine... except for the wheels, obviously.

No go at the auction
Sorry to hear that. Anyways, I'm still not sure, but I might try to come down tomorrow with the Sunfire. If anyone plans on being there, PM me, if I decide to come down, I'll give you my cell number.

Bob Lutz Explains Why The Pontiac GTO Failed
Can you read? Sales numbers don't mean a damn thing. Profits do. The sooner your realize that, the sooner you'll stop making a fool out of yourself. Say it with me: Profits not sales. If sales dictated everything, there wouldn't be a such thing as a niche brand. There is and they survive. Not to mention that Pontiac will also have security of being sold along two other other niche brands in a single sales channel. If you think Pontiac will bold, you're a dumbass, and that goes for anyone.

Yet another reason why the Legacy is a great car that's vastly underrated.

What is that car????
Too bad there isn't a domestic vehicle from the 90's that's actually cooler than it. Boxer engine, AWD, unique styling, advanced technology (for its time), luxurious interior, and decent performance etc. Heh... They all run and are in good shape. Not quite a junkyard

BMW CLS fighter
Hmm... I like everything but the front, which I find to be quite ugly. For one, those grills are too big. Two, those headlights are oddly shaped and placed. Three, the front overhang is too big and too square. Finally, the lower fascia doesn't help the upper fascia.

Buick Riviera
Certainly looks better, though I still think the greenhouse is too big and too bulbous for the body. I also think it would look better as a sedan rather than having those huge doors. I can't really see the front, so I can't further critique it with these pictures.

What is that car????
They really are damn cool cars. If I came across one like I did with my Millenia, I would probably add a third car to my personal stable.

Which parent do you resemble?
Neither? I'd say an even mix... for everthing. Looks, size, personality, etc. The person I look the most like, however, is my grandpa. You can really see it looking at pics of him when he was my age.
