  1. I agree. I don't care what people do with their lives, but it is sick to think that a 50 year old man would even think of doing that to a child. That truly sickens me. And I do feel sorry for those women, because half of the time this life style is not their choice. They have men come into their lives and dominate them and brainwash them into thinking that this is the only right thing to do. I think of polygamy and slavery having a lot in common, I mean think about it.. the Men that owned the plantations would force the women into having sex with them and get them pregnant and force them to have their children. Therefore giving them lots of children as well as in polygamy. In slavery you are forced to work on the plantation as well as raising the children. Polygamy is mainly just having many wives and making as many children as possible, which then the women would raise the children. This is how I see slavery and polygamy as being similar.
  2. Link to article http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080418/ap_on_...ygamist_retreat WOW! 416 children! Some of those poor children some have had babies at the age of 13! That is just crazy! I don't believe in polygamy, I think it is wrong. What are your thoughts on polygamy?
  3. yeah, apparently it is so bad that a lot of here nerves in her legs are fried.. and now she might have to be in a wheelchair.. which then she will sitting down for the rest of her life.
  4. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080313/ap_on_...man_in_bathroom All I can say is she must have really had a BAD childhood to sit on a toilet for 2 years!
  5. Well you heard it folks, it is a waste of money to change your oil every 3000 miles! Ya know, if DF and I did not change the oil in the Intrepid every 3000 miles, we would not have that car anymore cause the engine would be dead from oil sludge. http://finance.yahoo.com/insurance/article...hs-and-Mistakes
  6. I would be pissed beyond believe if someone sold me a pile of $h! and tried to pass it off as a good vehicle. Especially if I'm looking for something affordable that won't be a huge money pit. I agree with what Fly suggested and try selling it to CarMax, otherwise be honest about the car. Even if it was in good running condition I wouldn't want one of those things.
  7. Dodgefan and I met online (with yahoo chat rooms) and we have been together happily for 2 years going on 3. And everything is going just great. I mean we are even talking about marriage, and future plans. I can not imagine living without him, but I will tell you something though, BE CAREFUL! Me and Dodgefan talked for over a year before we started dating, so just make sure you KNOW that person VERY WELL before anything happens. Just follow your heart. but be safe at the same time.
  8. No, the Prizm only had like 175k miles on it, but that is still a lot. But what I am worried about is that DF signed some paper saying that he was fine, then like worse case scenario later on some part of his body starts to hurt, like his neck kinda hurts now, but says it worsens and he has to go to the doctor and all kinds of stuff like that, will we be screwed out of any money paying for his bills? Cause I'm pretty sure if something goes wrong and we have to go to court or something, they are gonna try to make him look stupid and say he had his seat all the way reclined and that he signed papers saying he was fine, which he was not in the right state of mind to make any kind of decisions like that at the time. I think he was too shook up to be asked to sign those papers. So please anyone TELL US WHAT TO DO!! Right now we are trying to get the car looked at by the insurance company, so after they tell us they will give us a lousy 400 bucks for the car or something what do we do then? Say no then gather all of our expenses up because I missed work yesterday, might today and DF is missing work today, should they be paying us for all of this? and if they only say it is worth 400$ and that is all they are willing to give THERE IS NO WAY WE CAN GET IT FIXED OR A NEW CAR WITH ONLY 400$ at least not a real good one. So please anyone advice????? All advise so far has been helpful, but we need more in depth advice PLEASE. Thanks a lot!!!
  9. Speaking of El-Camino look-a-likes..I saw a late model Deville turned into one.
  10. So they're going to use other countries as guinea-pigs...since they seem confident that there will be quality problems...
  11. Dodgefan and I saw it yesterday, and it was freakin awesome! I never even saw any of the Transformers before, but this movie was awesome! They are saying that it may very well be the best movie of the summer! Anyone and everyone.. GO SEE IT!!!!
  12. That is soo insane! I actually met him at a wrestling match I went to watch. That is just soo crazy that he could do that.
  13. SEXY! THAT BOAT WAS FUN TO DRIVE!!! LOVED IT!!!
  14. Aww! I used to watch him. he was really good at wrestling! he will be missed!
  15. So yes we are finally back! and I am sooo very happy. The road trip was absolutely awesome! I would not trade any moment of the trip for the world. So towards the end of the trip, the last day I think I started to feel HORRIBLE. I started to get the chills when it was hot as hell outside and then got hot flashes and my throat became REALLY sore it was hard to breathe, need I say 68 was not feeling so great when we started this journey, but it did not hit me until the last night. So today at 9am Dodgefan and I went to the doctor's office and they said I had and ear infection in both ears and I might have strep throat, which oh btw my ears were like killing me they hurt sooo bad! So they tested me for strep and the test came back negative and they were shocked because my throat looked really bad! So then they took a 'better' test on my throat and I guess I will get those results back tomorrow. So not only did I come back home with some great memories, I came back to my near death bed. So I am not sure if I caught this from 68 or what but I got it worse off then him, and Dodgefan and Tall Paul better look out... and if I did or didn't get this from 68 I know getting very lil sleep did not help my immune system at all, I mean hell we only got a hotel room for one night! Every other minute was spent in the car driving! But even though Dodgefan and I's checking account is sucked dry... (I mean in the negatives) and I am REALLY sick, there is not one regret! I had a total blast and I am happy to have been apart of history!
  16. I'm sorry I don't think it is 'inhumane' to help save lives of innocent animals, I think it IS INHUMANE to have to kill over 500,000 dogs and cats, puppies and kittens every year in just California alone! OK, I didn't think I was gonna have to do this but if you do the math 500,000 times 50 is 25,000,000 animals every year!! Is it really that hard of a concept to grasp?! That is A LOT OF DEAD ANIMALS! And it costs the state of Cali $300 million dollars a year to do this, just think how much it costs for the whole United States! Please just think outside of the box for a min, stop just looking at it as if someone is telling you what to do, but it is a solution to solving a problem....
  17. Oh by the way there is programs like that. For example take me and Dodgefan, we found a cat in a parking lot at Petsmart and I didn't wanna let her stay there cause I knew she would get killed or something along those lines, so we took her home, went to our vets got her checked out she was just fine all she had was worms. So then they told us it would be a good idea to get her spayed, I said we would have to do that sometime later cause we did not have the funds right now, they suggested this program that will pay for half or more than half of the spay or neuter sadly I can't remember what that program was called, but all you had to do was inform them of your income, and tell them why they should help you, easy enough? YES, and we were accepted, for a spay it would have cost over $200 we paid like $90. so yeah there is help out there you just have to LOOK. Also about the whole FREE thing, there are also places where you can get it done for FREE. My step grandma teamed up with a vet and they got a small camper and turned it into a vet clinic on wheels, they go around town to town and spay and neuter pets at peoples houses on the spot. For those lazy people who don't get off their asses. So yeah that kind of help IS OUT there. Oh and by the way you think this bill 'reeks of Nazism'? well I guess you did not read that little story I put up... Because if any of this reeks of Nazism that would be these so called "shelters" the way they kill those innocent animals it is like execution camps, it is a very methodical and carried out in a routine everyday manner. So it is Nazism to have them spayed and neutered and save babies from being cast aside and it's not Nazism to have millions of 'unwanted' animals killed EVERYDAY? That does not make sense... Yes, I completely agree it makes NO sense what so ever to NOT get your pets spayed or neutered. And if they would do something like this to people that would be good as well, cause then there would not be SUCH OVERPOPULATED places like Lawrence MA!! Also completely agree it IS time to stop the suffering! And yes I do think it should be spread across the country, Cali is just starting something great!
