  1. I love the new C-class, the S-class looks and powertrains are great. The only thing I don't like is the nav screen that sticks up form the dash.
  2. The mechanicals are good, I drove a couple first generation Genesis, and they are a nice driving car, quiet and smooth. If you want a roomy, smooth riding big car with classic rear drive feel they are a good choice. I imagine this new car will ride well and be nice to drive, but I don't like the looks at all.
  3. $38k loaded, holy crap. Here come the big discounts. Good news is you'll be able to get a 1 year old one off Enterprise for $20k.
  4. I like the shape and look of it, I am glad they went for clean lines rather than the craziness of the CTS coupe. The new logo is ugly and too wide and I miss the wreath.
  5. Acura should make a version of the Fit, they can call it FLX or maybe FIX or FAX.
  6. It has a little bit of a poor man's Jaguar F-type look to it, especially form the rear and side. Which is a good thing, because the F-type, which is a stunning car, is like $80,000 and not too attainable. And what would you rather say "I drive a 200 hp BRZ" or "I drive a 315 hp Stinger!"
  7. Haha, I didn't. It always takes them 10 years to get an NSX to production, I figured it was just another concept on the slow process to making it.
  8. I hope it has a 305 hp V6 from an Accord and costs $125,000. Seems about right for an NSX. If with the hybrid system it makes 350-400 hp, hopefully it weighs over 4,000 lbs because of the batteries. Honda seems clueless on how to build a sports car.
  9. It has a sleek look, but it also looks bland and like a lot of other cars at the same time. Two good engine options and the 9-speed is nice, but I had a 300 rental recently with the Pentastar V6 and it seemed rough as you revved it, I think other V6s are better. I don't trust Chrysler build quality either, that 300 had loads of plastic inside of it and I thought the build quality and interior materials in a Fusion, Sonata or Optima were better than in the Chrysler 300. They better have upped their game if they want this car to contend with the heavyweights.
  10. I like the name, much better than mashing 3 letters together. They should make the Stinger (drop the GT4), 315 hp and 2900 lbs is pretty amazing sounding. It got me thinking, a 1996 C4 Corvette had 300 hp and weighed 3300 lbs. A BMW M3 of 10 years ago had 333 hp and weighed 3400 lbs. So you could be getting Corvette or M3 like performance of 15 years ago for Kia pricing, which you'd have to think is mid to high $20k.
  11. There is only so much you can do with styling, it looks like an F150 so the loyalists should like that. I think it looks fine, nothing great, but not bad in any way. The weight savings is great, I wouldn't be surprised if the 2.7L ecoboost out runs some of the competitions V8s. If they can get 300 hp from a 2.3 liter four in the Mustang, you have to think the Ecoboost 2.7 could be in the 330 hp and torque range. The fuel economy of the 2.7L should be quite an advantage over the other guys V8s also. Hard to believe a F150 with a sub 3 liter engine. I read rumor of a 3.2 liter turbo diesel being developed for the Transit, that engine would be perfect for the F150, I think with a diesel the F150 could hit 30 mpg.
  12. It sounds like it will be expensive, and essentially replace the ZR1. If GM charges $75k for a Camaro with 500 hp, Brembos and some carbon fiber, I wouldn't be surprised to see this car priced near $100k before options. But a 911 or GT-R is basically $100k so it would be right in there.
  13. Much more professional grade than the Colorado with that wood trim on the doors.
  14. I agree with Dwight, why buy a Camaro Z28 when a Corvette Z06 is the same price, and the new Stingray with performance options is probably cheaper and faster also. Or you could get a 2 year old GT-R. The problem here is it is $75,000 for a Camaro, just like the Equus is $65,000 for a Hyundai, it is a tough sell. At least if you pay $90k for a Porsche 911 you get to tell people you drive a Porsche 911.
  15. No it didn't, I think the CLA will bring a new buyer in. Younger and not as wealthy obviously but also a buyer looking for a more youthful looking car, and something sporty rather than the C-class which is a bit more formal in appearance. Mercedes ended the year the #1 selling luxury brand in the USA also. The C-class had a really strong year for a car that came out for 2008, and the new S-class is dominating that segment as expected, and that should continue in 2014 as they release the coupe and V12 models.
  16. I bet Cadillac would rather sell 16,000 ATS rather than 3800 of them.
  17. Not many. But I am sure a few fools will, 6 people bought an ELR last month, so there is hope. But what ever happened to the Camaro being the affordable sports car?
  18. Right, yet Chevy doesn't have a 4 cylinder rear wheel drive car. The Camaro is getting ever more expensive, who knows if the Mustang will jump in price. This Kia could be a nice alternative to the Toyota GT86 (which is what it should be called, not Scion FRS).
  19. The 3-series outsold the entire Buick brand.
  20. No minivan and an uncompetitive Malibu hurt a lot. GM misses in key family segments, and they basically always have. They do well on SUVs, but need to focus on some core models. Cadillac has got a couple new cars, but they can't compete with Lexus or the Germans on volume, and Ford right now is beating Chevy in just about every segment except Impala vs Taurus.
  21. 315 hp sent to the rear wheels has me intrigued. I am interested to see what it looks like at least. In a world where 9 out of 10 new cars are FWD sedans with a 4 cylinder it is nice to see a RWD sports car every once in a while.
  22. That is just too much money for a Camaro. That is Corvette Z06 money.
  23. There was rumor that the A8 would be RWD in the next generation around 2017. I feel like Audi is the German Acura, at the end of the day it is still a VW with AWD, much like an Acura is an AWD Honda.
