  1. i think "shapes and sizes" was a nod to the new GTO, Camaro & droptop, Impala, Monte Carlo, and Big Pontiac Sedan all being based on Zeta. A coy move... And he said NA, which means Oshawa is in the running.
  2. MAJOR improvement. And i like how well the buttons are integrated at the top of the stack. the wood on the Equinox looks waaaaay better as well!
  3. These percentages are useless, unless we see the original numbers, any fool can manipulate numbers to argue a point. 29% fleet sales for the year sounds bad, but GM is also selling less retail vehicles this year but at a much high price point, as evident of the fact they are very close to showing a profit.
  4. Don't forget that the Tahoe isn't the only GMT-900 hybrid. The Escalade is getting it, along with the rest of the trucks, and I'm assuming the Yukons will have the option as well.
  5. What opel badges? The only badges on that suv are saturn badges, you can see them thru the tape...
  6. Well I think the navigation screen is a BIT more useable now, besides since GM US uses a touch screen nav now, how could the people reach it in the Opel version?
  7. I can't imagine it being smaller. It still on a ~106" wheelbase, like the Antara and Captiva. I think edmunds is full of crap. Just like the line about there being "no vents".
  8. Any guesses on what they'll call it? Maybe they'll give it a different name instead of AURA Wagon? (cuz that sounds stupid) If this is importated, and the NG AURA is made here, is it possible they will have some different sheetmetal as well as mechanicals, and as a result they market as a "different vehicle" and not just a wagon version?
  9. i bet toyota laughs when they see the sales statistics on these things... "haha silly americans, they continue to buy our ugly little metal boxes in droves!"
  10. yay! more ugly to look at on the road!
  11. not when you consider the tahoe is more aerodynamic and NOT built to be the off-road beast the H3 is. Also the FJ cruiser is lighter, smaller, and uglier than the H3.
  12. the Canyon is so sad looking now!
  13. i REALLY like the G6 grille inserts!
  14. the XR is a deal! All that stuff standard for just a smudge over 26k!
  15. this will just eat the Mark LT alive!
  16. b/c the Chevy's grille is so biggg now, it makes me think of the Cheyanne (sp?) concept. And i TOTALLY see people buying these vs the regular trucks, just b/c the grille is MASSIVE and sweet lookin'!
  17. dude the chevy looks SWEEEET!
  18. i like it! vectra meets civic meets previous model impala, meets HHR tuner from last fall. me likie!

    ....

    did you man phallic-ship?
  20. it should be GM's tag line, nothing is more AMERICAN, than GM and words from our DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE! let's see the japanese companys try to come up with an "patriotic/american tag-line"
  21. I'll agree, they do look similar, but Jaguars "gorgeous" campaign, was just STUPID! AND, wtf was with the HUGE G? Okay great we get it, gorgeous starts with a G, but Jaguar doesn't, should JAGUAR being in big letters somewhere? Gorgeous doesn't care, Gorgeous stays out late, Gorgeous does crack. At least the other pics/ads for Cadillac are cool and send a message MOST consumers can relate to.
  22. autospies has some pics of the new print ads. EXACTLY what cadillac needs, tho I'm not wild about the bridge pics. But i see where they're going with the other too, and it works. Cadillac's New Ad Campaign
  23. only one complaint - the door opening on the first picture is too small for the door, the front doors are much longer then the space allows. Or the picture seems "smushed" Otherwise there are fantastic illustrations, very impressive!
  24. he didn't have to take that loss, he only did it for tax purposes. greedy bastard. Looks like GM "might not need Nissan's help"....after all? haha "Kirk Kerkorian, Jerry York and Carlos Ghosn's grand "Plan" to take over the American corporate icon is all of a sudden looking extremely shaky. Kerkorian, York and Ghosn - the Three Amigos of Greed, Power and Ego - who couched their blatant overthrow attempt aimed at displacing GM CEO Rick Wagoner in touchy-feely, biz-school babble muttering about developing corporate synergies for the global auto industry's future (none of which are readily apparent to anyone looking at the three companies) and other B.S. du jour are all of a sudden on a big fast train to NowhereVille." - Today's Autoextremist: On The Table
