I really want to find a 73-87 GM Chevy/GMC square body pickup and do this conversion. Seriously. Need to find a nice clean rust free truck from Texas or oaklahoma or someplace. I think it would be killer.

It was crazy having 600 plus miles of range when I ahd my TDI jetta. GM crate package, they do up a vintage GM product with EV power here.

Nice review. I never thought I would see half ton pickups at almsot 80 grand... My grandmother grew up in and was born in a log cabin in Wisconsin in 1917....amazing how things change in a short period of time.

As does reliability, these will be hauling drywall and lumber for more than they will be hauling ass. I really like the Colorado as an off road truck.

Lots of neat vintage iron here. Good Video. ...and I love both the Audi and the Lincoln....I am not a snob by era.... I want an Epic adventure... I so want to travel to central America when all of this covid crap is done. Substitute a Ford Ranger for the T100 and we are good....but it is much more difficult to take a vehicle south of the border if you have a loan on it. Might like to find an older basic vehicle with 4WD to take on some adventures.

I think they still use that as a base motor for full size pickup trucks. But if I was going to buy a GM truck, the only configuration I really like is the ZR2 Colorado. Hyundai is the most dynamic car maker right now in terms of what they are doing. Again, would prefer a colorado ZR2 Diesel myself....but that is a damn nice truck. Not really a red guy either when it comes to trucks, but I had a red S-10 that was fantastic back in the day. I really want a Shi-Tzu. Such well behaved, gentle dogs. Or a Jack Ruseel terrier to terrify my cats, I can't decide which. Actually, I am kind of Bipolar, maybe one of each.

Crosstrek is hot this is not. They were great little vehicles. Cut 4 cylinders off...just like GM cut two off to make the 4300 V6. And this is what will kill Tesla. The big boys have far more to invest than Tesla...and they know how to build actual cars.

This GM truck led and died a violent life... Full of armor plating and the like. The Ohio Highway patrol has crushed a lot of vehicles that have been built with hidden compartments for drug smuggling.

See....that is my conundrum. I almost like the idea of a grand Cherokee if you are going to go a olot of different places, as it will draw much less attention. Of the unwanted sort. It is a sweet ride, despite lacking the Balthazar seal of approval.

Same as that Whistlin diesel dude. One of my woodworkiing friends works for Battelle and does a lot of IT and computer work for them, he might well be on this project.
