  1. I am at 25.4 lifetime on the Ranger. I have given up trying to figure out ecoboost fuel economy. Buddies dad...F150 3.5 Ecoboost crew cab 4WD, loaded, towing loaded trailer...running 75-80....all the way to Denver and back from Columbus...27.6 for the trip. He has reciepts. Trailer was fairly laoded down. Unreal fuel economy for a fullsize truck. Friends Tundra 2wd struggles to make 13 or 14 on flat level ground running 55.
  2. None of the four is soemthing I want in my driveway. Hard pass....and I get your point...
  3. I guess he didn't kill his girlfriend yet...MINI road trip.
  4. I know you were. I think Toyotas failure to update product is pretty relevant given how far behind teh curve the Tundra is as a full size truck.
  5. Thanks for the links, will listen a bit when I get home!
  6. Getting back to vehicles, the RAM looks damn fine set up as an overlanding rig. I do like the idea of fueling at home. As Balthazar said, Thread Cleanse.
  7. My dad was born in 1939....amazing how much the world has changed since then.
  8. Very sorry to hear ab out this. It's scary stuff. On the bright side, a morning ride through Milwaukee. Enjoy...have a great day, everyone.
  9. GeeBee...
  10. I think Ultim and the GM self driving tech makes GM the one automotive stock worth buying. When you look at how over priced tesla stock is for what it is, and the real potential of GM with BEV, Hybrid and gas tech....like I said in teh Random thoughts thread....for the first time in a long time I am bullish on the American automakers. ...and Hyundai....I think the future belongs to the Kroeans, the Americans, and the Chinese, not the Japanese or the Europeans.
  11. ....good to see you back. My sister just bought an Escalade and loves it, thought of you when she drove it home. I now have a Ford and a Chevy in my driveway so I am all domestic...my Daughter jsut boguth a Z06 (C6) thought of you when she brought that home. GM should do very well with the electric tech they are developing, for the first time in years I am kind of bullish and optomistic about the US auto industry. But I am going to put an little Euro love in here, Ducati....love Euro motorbikes.
  12. Gee, Civil informed debate....excellent.
  13. Or at the very least talk freely and openly about ICE automobiles. The Ford Raptor is white hot, some dealers are asking 2x invoice for some new ones because they are out of production until fall 2021. Next Raptor may well ahve a version of the new bog block pushrod V8 that comes in teh f250 and F350....wouldn't THAT be a hoot. Ford may yet bring the Ranger Raptor here. C8 Corvette is white Hot. Lots going on with Euro cars. New Supra is interesting. Lots of interesting stuff in motorsports. Hell, I am even starting to fall in lvoe with the current generaiton of GM fullsize trucks. Lots of good potential content there.
  14. Not sure how effective this is going to be. I almost wonder if GM, with it's battery technology and self driving technology won't have something out in the next five years that will really Trump this big-time. The Euro car makers all have big debt and mixed approaches to EV's I think. VW is best of the Euros but...even then...debt load. Jeep builds soulful vehicles people want. If they can get EV right they have a winner.
  15. Telluride is the current King of three row SUV's
  16. Like I said elsewhere...Tesla fails to understand 1940s technology. They need to do basic fundamental manufacturing right. Ohio has a garage full of woodworking equipment that should have this in it instead.... gorgeous. I would like to learn more about Graham. They built interesting vehicles. Just....no.
  17. Just read this morning about a CEO who was quite well liked...and died at 46 due to a house fire. No political posts...but I hate the Dallas Cowboys. I might change my opinion on other things...not that. Steelers doing wonderful.
  18. I grew up in Wisconsin always liked Milwaukee.
  19. Love the fastback style of the car on the far left. Awesome old pictures.
  20. Explosion....
  21. And battery life is a huge concern. Would actually love to own a model 3 but if you ever have to replace a battery pack...yowzers. And yeah...I have replaced a bunch of those detectors that didn't last ten years
  22. Huge difference between a four dollar nine volt battery and a twenty thousand dollar Tesla battery. Point is made though. Although I bet if you pulled the history of the ten Rangers built right before mine and the ten Rangers built right after mine...and did it in ten years...there would be a wide wide variety of natural life spans for that Ecoboost four cylinder motor. This is why I only use internal combustion smoke detectors in my home. Those extra pipes through my roof aren't vent stacks for plumbing they are exhaust stacks for the detectors. Getting a little tired of running around the house with a small oil can trying to keep them fueled.
  23. I feel the same way about Ohio.
