Rock wool for insulation is the bomb if you can get it. Cuts down on sound hugely. The other book I am getting ready to start, along with Travels with Charley... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0989766535?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image Van had 300,000 miles at start of trip IIRC

Ohhhhh....my mother lives in Hendersonville, my sister in Black Mountain. I may have to drop in and buy you a few local brews and a pizza. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089M1KSF2?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image One of the next books I am going to read. On another note, it's amazing how stupid and uninformed car salespeople can be. Was looking at a Wrangler, just killing time before an appointment and kicking tires in the showroom. Asked the salesperson if it had the same 8 speed as the 300, as I really liked the transmission in the Chrysler 300. Salesperson was like..."no, the Wrangler uses a Torqueflight 727 3 speed, been around since the 60's. Nothing else will hold up to going off road like that."

I have had those also....but love the whole rig and the drive! Sadly, Islamic state has jsut moved from middle east to African oeperations, apparently. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/11/world/middleeast/Mozambique-ISIS-beheading.html

Keeping a US passport would allow me to live in several different places in retirement. I think saying the USA is good or bad, best or worst is insanely stupid. It's a country of 330 million people that's been around a couple huddred plus years. Lots of both good and bad in that time frame. Culturally, I am a midwesterner, and that is part of who I am so by default I am American. And as Americans we are more alike than we are different, I think. One more good but wet bike ride....then back to work. Different rider, still a great journey. I wish I had time and energy to buy a bike, but I am kind of maxed out in my life in so many different ways. '

If you were closer than Arizona, would gladly lend a hand... Actually lots of people retire to places with lwoer costs of living. I love this! Yenko stinger never grows old....I have lots of fond memories of seeing these vintage race. And one more to CCAP's comment about people with courage...this woman has it in droves.

Here is a church I was the head electrician on. They did something similar. It's really rather cost effrective.

Looks like a damned fine man cave. You might consider using hardwood from a lumber mill and tounge and groove random species.

This Navigator Flies....pretty awesome.

One more for Today... https://fordauthority.com/2020/11/die-hard-ford-bronco-enthusiasts-cross-the-continental-divide-video/

I do the same thing. Had that landscaping fabric in my beds, and my plants were not doing as well. Putting fresh soil around the plants and cutting back the anti week fabric is revitalizing them. Actually I have enormous respect for the Amish. Enormous. Given how much I (DIS)like the bland modern world, I could almost love living like that. SPEAKING OF TRUCKS, fORD IS PLANNING TO RAMP UP ELECTRIC F150 PRODUCTION. https://fordauthority.com/2020/11/ford-increases-electric-f-150-production-capacity-by-50-percent/

I think Olds is awesome, glad others feel the same way. When Covid is over, I want to go to Montreal and meet him in person. https://fordauthority.com/2020/11/super-slick-1956-ford-f-100-restomod-runs-on-coyote-power-video/

People aren't geting any smarter... I would love a single story home. However, in Cinncinatti, Columbus and a lot of places mid century Ranch homes are being torn down left right and wideways to build McMansions. The kids are allright.....and having fun....my Girl by the Temptations.

Its fixable. They are building onto our subdivision, my wife and I jsut ahd a good time walking new homes a few days ago. Maybe Blu wants to reconsider Germany....we know how much he likes bling and 24 inch wheels, and they just won't work well with electric German cars. This was a great song for cruising around back when I was in High school. And yes, just like the song says, the cars back then had 8 tracks... I really dig the police car in the screen cap... EV in the ICE thread, Fords electric Transit Debuts....

English is enough of a challenge at times... Inspiring...

Love that Jeep. I certainly have zero need to own anything European. Both of my Vee dubs were great cars, but I ahve kind of moved on to trucks for the time being.
