  1. Less than zero interest in these, they do sort of look good, but about as exciting as a pre-owned roll of toilet paper. I want to continue to know less than nothing about them. I don't trust these tiny little engines.
  2. There are absolutely ZERO domestic SUV's I would take over an equivalent import.
  3. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I am all in favor of taxes for infrastructure, I am saying we will be less able to invest in infrastructure because the dollar will be less of a reserve currency and it will cost us more to service our debt. Again, I link Tax increases to a weakening dollar and everything being more expensive.
  4. Does anyone else think trying to marry a chainsaw and an angle grinder is a bad idea? Going to try some power carving.
  5. For someone like me who keeps a second vehicle just for errands (my wife works from home) this would be perfect.
  6. I have given up on anything sane happening, but I think inevitably as the dollar weakens under tariffs, taxes will go up because the cost of importing everything will go up under a weakening dollar.
  7. That is pretty much what I do. I find a protein shake or a bit of toast are perfect for dinner. I don't eat much alter in the day. Absolutely the kind of place I for no rational reason want to check out.
  8. That seems to be of little importance in a post truth post reality postmodern world.
  9. I really want an EV for around town use. I have a really crappy Italian restaurant here in Columbus where you can get much less for a much higher price. Looks fantastic.
  10. Looks good, cool color, $h!ty visibility, horrible reliability, resale in the dumpster, I don't want to explain to my wife why we have an eight grand repair bill on a four year old car. Not a fan for a lot of reasons. Happy to be driving paid off vehicles, probably Subaru if I buy another.
  11. Impressive recovery work. IMG_4778.HEIC
  12. Electric yes, gasser no, Hyundai can't seem to build reliable gasser engines. South America is so on my bucket list....
  13. Warren Buffer I believe owns a good bit of stock in BYD....interesting. Going to try to verify this.
  14. Exactly why the myth of totally free markets is just that, a myth.
  15. Nor would BYD. The Chinese government has dumped a metric crap ton of cash into auto development.
  16. Nothing but heavy, heavy freight movements with steam power. Bit by bit detail of BYD teardown...
  17. Tesla would be so gonzo if markets were free. This lumber yard is in central PA, I think a Ranger road trip is in order.
  18. Its really exciting when people bootleg wire them into panels without disconnecting the panel from the main utility. Utility comes back on and...boom.
  19. Both Ford and GM apparently donated to both project 2025 and the inaugeration. I am not saying I would never buy a Ford or Chevy, but that it would be a major factor in my next purchase. Also, as an American I don't like being told what to buy, and its Bipartisan as both Biden and Trump put in place big Tariffs to protect Tesla. Hyundai also makes some of the best looking (in my opinion) current cars. Not excited about Hyundai/Kia gasser/ICE tech, but their electric tech looks much better. Thinking. Right now waiting until things settle out before I buy another car.
  20. Because they contributed financially to the political folks doing this stuff.
  21. This will affect the auto industry to an enormous extent...
  22. Yep, game over for Tesla and others in the real world outside of US borders.
  23. ...and the pain of authoritarianism on actual human lives. Nothing going on now will end well for any of us... I so want to see Italy. Want to spend some time there, will be one of the first stops when I retire. Likewise... More bad weather coming... I own almost everything I need, and buy tools I want used, usually. Folks can suffer for the idiotic election. Maybe I need to heed your advice.
