  1. I plan on doing some Lake Erie time myself. Lots of rail trails in the north of Ohio, have been back on my bike a lot. Rode 23 miles to breakfast this morning. Interesting. We have cut food aid under the current administration to foreign countries, a crap ton of children are going to die. The Hypocrisy of the whole thing is astonishing. For political, quality control, styling, build quality, personal, emotional, psychological, and other reasons I have purchased my last ever American car. Ironically, my Ranger has proven to be one of the best cars I have owned, 120K on it and going strong.
  2. I guess the two teen girls that got murdered did so in part by someone on the right who was furious about their posts about Charlie Kirk. The country is coming apart at the seams. The country is so dysfunctional that our discussion will just pivot to the next unspeakably vile person that decides to act out their true inner self. Get ready for us not to fund mass transit. My Mustang comment in my test was sadly, right on point. We were in Acadia in Maine at the start of the turn of leaves. It was gorgeous. I love fall in Ohio. Will miss it when I move elsewhere.
  3. Hoekstra can once again, go f@#k himself and pound sand. People in this country have by and large given up learning. He really was a horrible human being. I had issues before, but seeing Christians idolize him has made me commit to probably never darkening the door of an American church ever again.
  4. You have way more faith in America than I do. I predict the republican's actually pick up seats in the House and Senate both. In addition to boycotting US products, US athletes should not be allowed to compete in international competition. People should boycott things like American Movies as well. I think a blue state to move to if I don't move out of the country. At 120 thousand miles, the steering wheel on my Ranger is starting to age a bit, and not well.
  5. The entire united States can f@#k off forever. seriously. southwest airlines kiled rail in Texas, look it up. George W Bush had some sort of railroad commission job at the time. Let me repeat, The United States of America can go f@#k itself, and f@#k off forever. For the third time, the United States of America can f@#k off forever. Hopefully the future of the US is short, its incapable of governing itself. It needs to die some sort of death, and be reincarnated as something else. Our country is moronic. Our society will never adult, better that the next century is the Chinese century.
  6. IIRC the other founder of Turning Point died of Covid after denying safety steps for covid or something. You can argue morality and logic, but the impacts/results/effects of what you do are objective and real. A bit of non political fun, this is gorgeous. If I wasn't turning 60 years old today, I would drive that damn thing.
  7. This guy gets the toxic state of America right on so many levels. it's pretty much cooked. Drew feel free to delete this if need be.
  8. I like a lot of this guys analysis, he explains well why American manufacturing is declining at a greater and greater pace and why jobs are moving away from the United States.
  9. Ideas have moral consequences, dig through my eleventy billion political posts here. There is a reason for my cynacism. Interesting video on Carbon fiber, I am not going to full on mountain bike now that I am turning 60 tomorrow, but I am thinking of building a gravel bike of sorts.
  10. This absolutely needs to happen. about 200 countries in the world, 199 need to boycott the US. All for Chinese EV's being sold in place of Ford, Chevy, GMC, Buick products. All for it absolutely. I like this guys analysis.
  11. This is fascinating on Carbon fiber and bikes, well developed ideas.
  12. Mexico is doing things right.
  13. Hyundai should, from a moral standpoint. Besides... They actually released a new revision for the jobs numbers, now it's down to "f@#k" according to their words
  14. It will be interesting to see where the US auto industry winds up. Americans have brought this on themselves, shutter the plants. Every last US plant can shut down.
  15. Hyundai plant raid. Shutter every US plant for all I care, we don't deserve to drive cars if we are going to act like this as a society.
  16. It isn't getting better.
  17. Meanwhile in southern Ohio....
  18. Back to playing with tubes to escape our rapidly declining reality.
  19. Nothing like tanking the economy... Unmitigated greed!
  20. Wheels coming off of the economy.
  21. Thoughtful from a strategy standpoint.
  22. Would love to see Nissan fall on its ass though.
  23. Interesting video on vinyl record technology. We might be literally unable to make Vinyl records without Japanese help. Interesting on Lucid Air.
  24. This RAV 4 is looking better and better as a possible next car.
