While I absolutely love the Maverick, this is one reason why I am leaning Subaru for the next vehicle purchase. I just don't think domestics have the quality control or engineering the Asians have. There is no way in hell I could trust this as a daily driver, and would not drop coin on it given past reliability issues. Hell, even for a rental, I think I would turn the keys back over to the rental agent and ask for something else. Honda, Toyota, Subaru please? Think the Passport is much better looking. For that amount of $, I would also prefer a Toyota 4 Runner, infinitely better resale and reliability, and would fit my needs as a camping/hiking vehicle much better.

Yeah, I think the whole point is to have something unique hence the EV conversion. Saving money and 50 year old car never go together. Yes, we view cats as cute and cuddly when they are in fact deadly killers of small animals. Cats and dogs view us as parents, even though we are radically different species. Perception is often quite different from reality. With animals and people. A good factual take on this accident... Europe ain't gonna catch up with the US or Asia in terms of build quality. That being said, my son has a Triumph motorcycle, his girlfriend has a BMW, my daughter has an Audi, my son in law has a BMW, and they are all fairly reliable. If I didn't hike, haul lumber, and have a general use for a truck I would still happily own a VW GTI.

The GM cars I am interested in largely have original buyers in the Grave. The new midsize Canyon/Colorado are cool, and I like the Cadillac design language, but Zero new GM products I actually would drop ink on. Maverick, Ranger and Bronco (full size) the only domestic products I would be interested in. Crosstrek, and Forrester probably the only two Japanese vehicles. Nothing else. Current market bores me to tears. Can't happen to nicer people. Move to a city where you don't need to own one and rent when you need to. Nicely done race car, I like the fabrication work and overall vibe of this.

Would not touch a modern Nissan, but would definitely torch a modern Nissan.
