  1. Sounds very logical Mr. Blu...quite the contrast to the pristine 64 Pontiac Wagon Balthazar posted in the work vehicle thread awhile back... And Balthazar's car and the abandoned car are almost the same colors...amazing how two vehicles can survive half a century in such wildly different conditions...
  2. You must have pissed the guy off...that explains why I have a 3400 lb Toyota Camry under my tree. Nice work Mr. Blu....
  3. No surprise this thing has Ohio plates...
  4. Feds off of the hook in Ferrari wreck... http://news.yahoo.com/feds-off-hook-wreck-ferrari-fbi-agent-221000918.html DETROIT (AP) — A judge has dismissed a lawsuit against the U.S. government over the wreck of a $750,000 Ferrari driven by an FBI agent, saying federal law grants immunity if property is being held by law enforcement. The wreck of the rare 1995 F50 sports car was "certainly unfortunate," but the government cannot be sued in such a case, U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn said. Motors Insurance, based in Southfield, Mich., believes an FBI agent and a prosecutor were out for a joyride when the agent lost control of the Ferrari in a Lexington, Ky., industrial park in 2009. The government has refused to pay for the car.
  5. The best way to own a vee dub is to get the 2.0 turbo and few if any other options IMHO. Looking at Beetle Turbo and GTI, both of which are about 24K in a manual...
  6. Or perhaps French...
  7. No really...it does....!
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. Makes me want to be Canadian, eh?
  10. We hit one with a huge rack in a Cierra back when I was in college... almost totaled the Olds.
  11. Interesting...like I said....it would be nice to preserve some of the unique SAAB genius in building cars. We are looking at the Volvo C30 to replace the wife's crap box (2005 Xb, approaching 200k). The Volvo guys, including the SCCA Volvo guys in the know, say that the Chinese are much more serious about doing things right and not cutting corners than Ford was when the owned Volvo. We'll see what happens... It does really seem like a waste in a way...
  12. I think you've found your life's project, 'blu...you work in a bodyshop... This thing reminds me of the Old Johnny Cash song I loved as a kid....
  13. I think Mustang...
  14. Film from an actual production car race held in England (I think) in the 1970's.... Where else could you see a Rolls Royce, an Impala, a Mustang Convertible, a 240Z, a Capri, an MGB, an Original MINI, and a bunch of other cool cars go head to head... And dig the guys with long hair racing convertibles without a helmet...or a rollbar... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btXR4ej4QoA&feature=player_embedded#! ...and notice the wicked cool little Toyota spin at the 6:46 mark...
  15. Interesting... Given some of my choices in modern cars, that might work as my next family car.
  16. Indeed...I could just see this down around Chillicothe or Pike county...
  17. Fascinating....
  18. NOT!...What the eff was someone thinking? Or you could always do the 50's custom thing this way...
  19. I meant a very deer Buick, sorry for this miss spelling...
  20. Judge is awesome, wish I had cash!
