  1. Glad someone else doesn't like the Focus. We looked at it and I hated the dash and the seating position...but to listen to everyone you'd think the car was the second coming of Elvis or something... Be careful...the Challenger is a really reliable car....
  2. But for people that bought them...zero instant negative equity. Glad to see them finally die, the older stuff was cool, but not sure I'm down with paying 50k for what they were currently offering...
  3. Wonder how they did this....?
  4. What other impressions do you have with this car? How is it in city driving? and also...how well does it stack up to the Cruze in your opinion as a commuter cr? How well does it stack up against other cars you have driven? May very well be in the market soon....also...how does Albert like this thing? Has he driven it or ridden in it?
  5. That does look good, knightfan!
  6. Odd for us indeed, 67 IMP.
  7. I always liked both the Lincoln and the Rambler....agree on the style...and neighbors as a kid had a red Rambler wagon they kept immaculate. Oh, and I saw a 67 IMP SS convertible (NO BS, actually saw it) light yellow, black top, black interior, redline radials on Corvette rally rims with flat caps, decent shape. Seen that thing at a show, 67 IMP SS? Also saw a nice clean 76 Monte Carlo.
  8. I am thinking of this for myself as well. A larger car than my wife wants to drive, but it comes with the lifetime powertrain warranty IIRC. Glad to know that you are getting that kind of fuel economy out of that thing.
  9. Second the thought of a new V6 Mustang esp...best in class fuel economy, great resale, and the new interior with the premium package is sweet. A new V6 Camaro would do well also....I am also looking for another car, and the Camaro and Mustang are both on my short list.
  10. Who can post the worst exhaust system on a car...me first....
  11. American Honda Motor Co. has told its dealers that it won't give them advertising allowances if they offer vehicles below invoice on TrueCar, the fast-growing online auto sales service. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&drKey=292&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.vwvortex.com%2Fshowthread.php%3F5525240-Honda-goes-off-the-deep-end-warns-Honda-dealers-not-to-sell-on-internet-and-tells-Acura-dealers-not-to-sell-cars-below-MSRP&v=1&libid=1324146758151&out=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.viglink.com%2Fapi%2Fclick%3Fformat%3Dgo%26drKey%3D292%26loc%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fforums.vwvortex.com%252Fshowthread.php%253F5525240-Honda-goes-off-the-deep-end-warns-Honda-dealers-not-to-sell-on-internet-and-tells-Acura-dealers-not-to-sell-cars-below-MSRP%26v%3D1%26libid%3D1324146758148%26out%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.latimes.com%252Fbusiness%252Fautos%252Fla-fi-autos-honda-dealers-20111216%252C0%252C4913073%252Cfull.story%26ref%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fforums.vwvortex.com%252Fforumdisplay.php%253F1%26title%3DVWVortex.com%2520-%2520Honda%2520goes%2520off%2520the%2520deep%2520end%2520-%2520warns%2520Honda%2520dealers%2520not%2520to%2520sell%2520on%2520internet%2520and%2520tells%2520Acura%2520dealers%2520not%2520to%2520sell%2520cars%2520below%2520MSRP%26txt%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.latimes.com%252Fbusiness%252Fauto...073%252Cfull.story%26jsonp%3Dvglnk_jsonp_13241468767221&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.vwvortex.com%2Fforumdisplay.php%3F1&title=VWVortex.com%20-%20Honda%20goes%20off%20the%20deep%20end%20-%20warns%20Honda%20dealers%20not%20to%20sell%20on%20internet%20and%20tells%20Acura%20dealers%20not%20to%20sell%20cars%20below%20MSRP&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.latimes.com%2Fbusiness%2Fauto...073%2Cfull.story&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13241468767231
  12. I've pretty much lost interest in it...myself.
  13. It's so tacky its almost cool....
  14. Agreed....and Detroit will continue to move backwards...
  15. Neat looking old car...and amazingly, I'm old enough to remember when these things were new. I even drove a few of them back in the day, although I never owned one.
  16. +1 Like the Nissan Juke, for example If the Nissan Juke is pure sex I want to be celibate. A lot of cars are cutting corners with the eco0nomy going in to the crapper
  17. Actually I'd like to see you around here more often.
  18. Deathtrap yes, but runs 4 evar...I've owned 4 of the Safari/Astyo variety, two work trucks, two passenger vans, and they always provided reliable transportation cheaply. but yes the safety sucks.
  19. Oh, come on! Jesus Chbrist mother of mary I need to drive to jersey...My son loves Motorhead, and we lsiten to this all of the time with the top down in the Miata. We need to get your rock and roll son with my rock and roll son, and talk old Pontiacs.... I like fast paced bluegrass, and my son has gotten me into melodic death metal...so yes on both accounts.
  20. I always wanted a 75 Caprice convertible...as a kid, i wanted a 72 LTD with the folding roof and a 70 full size Chryco ragtop...one of the last of each of the full size ragtops. Pair that with a 72 Buick midsize ragtop, a 73 Mustang Convertible, and then a 71 Challenger just because...6 cars...that last of the fullsize and midsize regular convertibles...what I wanted as a kid. We had neighbors who had a 75 Caprice ragtop...old days....
  21. Like Franenstein, the horrors of some vehicles live on beyond the grave.
  22. Like the Cobalt SS and the 911 idea infinitely well, Z!
  23. C4C took a lot of older iron off of the road...around here some of the Hyundai dealers took in 150 plus cars....
