  1. Sometimes the Onion is just too damned honest. Chris
  2. This makes so much sense it's not even funny. Chris
  3. This makes so much sense it's not even funny. Chris
  4. I would really agree. I remember the Pontiacs of the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's as new cars. A full Pontiac lineup would be great. Chris
  5. I am more of an Obama fan myself. Actually met Hillary when she came to speak at Columbus State Community College. I was the only male out of about 350-400 people that was not escourted by a female. Personally I don't think she would have had the appeal in a genral election that Obama has had. (enter stupid sarcasm mode) Someone needs to kick Sarah's ass. Perhaps we could have a Hillary vs Sarah mud wrestling competition? (exit stupid sarcasm mode) Chris
  6. QUOTE (ocnblu @ Oct 27 2008, 06:36 PM) 66, what are you talking about? The VW Rabbit has been the #1 researched new car over at www.Gaywheels.com for about a year now. I've owned a '92 Golf GL 2 door, two '98 Bugs, and an '00 GTI 1.8t. If my local dealership had a half-decent reputation for their service department, I would have seriously looked at a white '09 Rabbit 2 door this time. Serious? I was half joking, but I know quite a few gey people and none drive VW's. Chris
  7. QUOTE (Sixty8panther @ Oct 27 2008, 09:37 PM) The Toyota drank way too much wine while pregnant and the baby came out with downs syndrome, you might have seen it actually, they named it Honda Ridgeline. (dear lord I really am going to hell for that joke ) ---- That's not fair to children with downs syndrome, the Ridgeline is uglier than that. I have the brother of a former co worker that works in a local Honda dealership, apparently the "new Ridgeline" isn't selling at all. Go figure. Chris
  8. Thanks for posting the pic, 'balt. Chris
  9. It really could happen. the rightwing nutjobs are not going to go away if and when Obama gets elected. If Obama is elected and things go poorly for him, Palin could run again in 2012 and get the white house. I'd FAR rather have Hillary than Sarah, but that just ain't gonna happen. Chris
  10. +1 Bigtime! Chris
  11. Real estate on a bus line is looking better and better...between this and the new Maxima...two of the ugliest cars ever penned by the japanese, or any other nation for that matter. Chris
  12. I do also! I am not getting "warm fuzzies" thinking about this at all... Chris
  13. Sweet! Loved the fabrication work. Makes me miss my 55 chev, though. Chris
  14. I'd prefer the Suburban, myself. Going back to our other thread...I'd really love one with a diesel. And that sweet Allison tranny. That would be the "A" ticket, methinks. Chris
  15. A diesel G8 would be a car I would buy in a second. Too bad Gm didn't put more thought into their diesels in the early 80's. Several of my friends in high school had parents who had these. Pulling down 40+ MPG in an Olds 88 running 80 plus MPH...Now your cooking with gas (or diesel, as it were). We got 46-47 MPG in a Pontiac Grand Prix once. Chris
  16. Let's hope McCain continues to implode in his quest for the white house. Chris
  17. QUOTE (Sixty8panther @ Oct 26 2008, 09:07 PM) I seen dem truk nuts the other day on a Dodge Ram, the truk was blak but the nutz was blu like a po-lice light, I thuink it was been a few dayz since that Dodge rammed a Toyo-dur Tah-coma. Lord God Almighty, I'd hate to see the "love child" of THAT union. Chris
  18. QUOTE (MikeyMo84 @ Oct 26 2008, 06:52 PM) you need truck nutz on the back of that thing I've seen truck nutz on the back of a Miata, and on the back of Nash Metropolitan. Chris
  19. QUOTE (Sixty8panther @ Oct 26 2008, 06:03 PM) Apparently this old beat up, rusted Buick that looks as if it survived two tours of duty in Afghanistan and two dozen hailstorms is mistaken for a 9C1 Caprice quite often, & I get asked all the time by kids and adults if it IS or less often, WAS a Police car. Don't ever restore that car, please. I love the "patina." Seriously. Chris
  20. QUOTE (FUTURE_OF_GM @ Oct 27 2008, 12:42 PM) It's ok man.. Most imports can generally be confused for other imports all of the time... I mean, they're all bland, organic and awkward looking, so go figure. Except for the Pious... It looks 'extra special' awkward and sad, much like it's drivers. Given that the planet has too many people fighting for too little space...isn't a car (like the Prius) that produces celebacy a GOOD thing? Chris
  21. QUOTE (MyerShift @ Oct 26 2008, 11:21 PM) Strange things said about my car? Well, for my Mk V Golf (Volkswagen Rabbit) the strangest thing I've heard is that... "It's a gay looking car." I don't get it. It isn't a gay looking car. No gay guy (other than Blckviper) would be caught dead in one. But I still lust after the GTI, both the first/second gen and the current one. Chris
  22. In all seriousness...you have a really cool mind, you need to try your hand at writing Sci-Fi or Fantasy. Seriously. With your understanding of people and what makes them work from your years in the car biz, I bet it would be a good book. Chris
  23. There is a Jesus for President sign at the exit ramp from Rt 23 onto I-270 on the north end of town. Ohio is full of Morons just like you describe... Chris
