  1. Helicopters are nice.
  2. Why are you bein' silly, olds?
  3. Hmmm... an LS swap into the back seat of a Festiva...
  4. Never owned a Festiva. Are you new here? I actually saw one the other day (before the giant snow) coming in the opposite direction, uphill on a gentle curve. It was that teal color (seems like the only color they made them in). Seems like the chick driving was adhering to the old adage about fun driving slow cars fast... she was barreling in that little coot!
  5. Mr. dfelt converts his 22-year old Suburban to electric. Its value was curtailed as it is because of its age... now it is worth nothing after the conversion.
  6. There are dozens of gasoline powered car fires every week. Should we start a thread? Aww... but that wouldn't be hilarious. It would be ho-hum. I'm just glad it was not in a house garage.
  7. I get a little bit Genghis Khan... AWESOME! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/P_SlAzsXa7E?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  8. I love this: "Tesla has set the auto world on fire with their sedan..."
  9. Fun? In what universe would a tragic electric conversion be considered "fun"? It would be torturous, a real blasphemy.
  10. There are no circumstances where this would be a good idear.
  11. Same reason I hate Tesla. Terrorists.
  12. Thanks! It will be a year old on Valentine's Day, which is February 14th here in the U.S.A.
  13. Thanks, Moltie. We haven't had any real, measurable snow yet this season, although the long range forecast for next weekend is promising... as of now, they're predicting up to 8".
  14. Went on an adventure to some local country today. Here's a photographic record of my travels.
  15. The Continental is nicer than the XTS. The XTS body looks high and narrow, and the wheelbase is proportionally too short.
  16. I never said it was a GT successor. But yet many on the web cry to name it that? It is not even a wildcat as it was a large boat and not known for grand touring. You want to convince Buick is not your grandfathers car then don't name the damn thing after your grandfathers car. Granted I am not keen on Alvista but god please save us from repeating the past to those who are looking for a future. The truth is Buick has never really made a car like the Alvista. The closest they have come is the 63-65 Riv and it was not a true Euro like GT like the Alvista is trying to be. Then the Riv went the wrong direction if it wanted to be a GT and only got bigger and heavier. I can see it now: "Buick ALvista Bundy Special Edition". SUHWEET.
  17. The Avista is not a Grand National successor. It is more rightly a Wildcat. Authoritative, sporty grand tourer... not a quarter mile good ol' boy two dimensional situation with this car.
  18. I wonder if it was installed from the inside, pull the head liners out and the trim around the back dash. Would be cool to really know if you go from outside or inside. Suck if you have to peel that top. Also as Drew pointed out, side defrosters, very cool but suck if oneof the lines broke. No sir, it wasn't
