Hmmm... 8th digit in VIN is a "Z"... which always denoted a pedestrian 4.3L V6 with TBI... nothing special... I wish I knew the VIN digit for the 4.3L turbo.

I say the carmakers could save much money by offering more variations on fewer platforms... like in the old, old days. Make two flexible platforms with any number of variations... that's the ticket.

Wide, squatty... this could be viewed as Lincoln's Pacer... whoa, I just realized there was an Edsel Pacer, so the name has precedence @ FoMoCo. This thing is shocking in its variance from what I believe most ppl refer to when they think Lincoln. Yes, it does look French. I do like the bench seat. This thing is a laughingstock. It is more comical than brilliant, imo.

Strange but I too hate a sedan and will resist buying one for the rest of my life... but a 4 door SUV/crossover is fine w/me. We need more coupes. G8, Malibu and LaCrosse from GM, Fusion/Milan from Ford, and Avenger from Chrysler.

That's a hot looking little car. Nicer than the CTS coupe concept, which for some reason reminds me of a Gremlin, on this car, the hatchback look suits it well.
