  1. She was a Jack Russell Terrier. I got her before they became "popular". She was 15 when she died. I still miss her. I never tried to replace her, but I recently "inherited" a cat when my neighbors moved away, and she's in the house, so that's a bit of company.

We're talking about mail duty... one of the hardest, most grueling regimens a vehicle can face. Plus, it's the US Mail. Reliability is absolutely paramount. If they could be assured of utterly reliable service over a longer period of time than the old Iron Duke to cover their higher purchase price, I'd be all for it. But that's a Republican POV, maybe it's out of touch with what the people want.

    McCain's trend

So smooooooth, he tried to get me to stare into it all night. But I ripped John's Depend out of his drawers to shield my eyes and protect me from its evil, hypnotic spell.

Do we want cheap and reliable, or expensive and untested? I'd like to see us lessen our dependence on oil, but not at too high a price, be it in dollars, or time lost to breakdowns.

  6. I got up at 5, my usual time. Clouds were thickening at that point. Later, it began to sprinkle, and the rain has built in intensity all day. It's now windy, dank and thundering, with heavy rain. A perfect day to cuddle and look out the window, if you have a live person or life-like blowup doll with you. Has anyone else been affected by this storm?

Sly, we've always had this "mind meld" thing going on. You always seem to "get" me.
  9. She passed away on December 5, 2005. I appreciate you asking about her, though.

  11. Mr. v13, you have an excellent mammary. That was my little dog, Meggie, and that photo was taken at the campground. At that point in her life, she was pretty much blind and deaf.

...and no, Borger, I never peeked at him in the locker room. Get your mind out of the gutter!

Mr. Croc O. Dile: OK FIRST OFF, I didn't start that round, as you say I did. My self-made joke about Obama's ears (well I laughed) was a personal attack on Barack Hussein Obama in response to the cribbed poster of McCain posted above me, which was a personal attack on him. My subsequent simple "unhappy face" smiley was in response to Borger's simple "ROFLMAO" smiley. If I have to remind you, smileys are much less serious a response than an angry, typed-out tirade. So please spare me. Here's another smiley for ya:
  15. And I'm sure she was always slapping her palm with a ruler, in case anyone disobeyed, right?

I just wish the Solstice Targa had its antenna in the back glass, somehow.
  17. Winter's coming, Borger.

Whoa, a trivia question: when did GM first start with the windshield antennae? '69? '70? '71? I don't bemember.
  19. Sorry, I meant to say "salt & pepper". My bad!

Any thread with a whiff of politics runs a great risk of turning into a monster, though. Shoot, that's an old truth.
  21. There aren't enough "scrungies" (?) in the world to placate the Bavarian Black Forest.
  22. A RWD replacement and the addition of a sedan bodystyle in the US would propel the G5.

I understand Barack Hussein Obama is harnessing wind power to help him travel the country and disperse his hot air. All he does is unfurl his ears, catch a breeze, and *poof*, he's in Nebraska. :AH-HA_wink:
