    GM has been a victim of its own innovative ideas for decades. A lot of times, when they put something out there that seems like a good idea (to GM, in its insular world) at the time, it falls flat. This next big push on the horizon will end with the same result.

    He's not old. BUT... someone should put something in his mouth. ? KIDDING, don't trigger on me! I don't care about the Euro brands in the new conglomerate, although I am not anti-Peugeot, per se. They used to have a decent diesel car back in the day here in America. Since my blood is red, I want to see Jeep, Ram, Chrysler and Dodge continue on and on and on. If Dodge/Ram had a smaller truck, I would have looked at it intensely before making a recent decision.

    I can agree with the first sentence: "Its (sic) not a good engine." It is a GREAT engine. Electric motors are crappy in cars. Like totally.

    The VW TDi is a great engine. Politics and media pressure will kill it long before it dies on its own. It is a 400k mile engine. If there were no demand, why would VW have a certified used program for TDi powered vehicles? There must be demand/money in it.

    Meh. Politics is killing diesel, same as politics is propping up EV. Except even with thievery, people are by and large not taking the EV bait. Except on the loony left coast. On my way home this afternoon, I was behind a silver Jetta Sportwagen TDi... even with all that pressure from Volkswagen, ppl are holding onto their VW diesels.

    Misaligned belt moldings and general crappy workmanship catch my eye in a negative way (Tesla hallmarks).

    Decisions made by Kill Anus as Diamler CEO have no bearing on my global world. When I hear that half the EVs in the US are registered in California, it does not surprise me one little bit. 1.9% of the market is nothing.

    And with EV resale values in the BASEMENT, that "should" be easy, if ppl really wanted an EV, that is. I don't think the "used EV" market is that hot though... fact is, demand is weak, or resale values would be higher. Can't give 'em away... even a few months old and hella depreciated.
