As a organized labor supporter I do not agree with the unions stand on this and neither should the leaders. They all know the problem with pensions today exist because there are fewer young employees contributing to pension funds and this is not the way to ensure continuance. Show some pride people, the eyes of N America are on you so lets shine down.

Well here I go, hopefully this will be understood not twisted because I have no reason for posting this other than to shed some straight light on the issue and someone just called someone a hater. Nothing I write below is meant to be insulting, its just me evaluating and yes that is scary. Here goes, into the fire > I actually dont believe gay ever meant homosexual until recently. Im sure it is in the dictonary now. Certainly straight people would have never used the term cheerful and gay if it indicated sexuality. Which clearly today is the only way in which the word is used. If I went down town and said "boy, I feel gay today" my life would be ruined. We had a "gay ol time"...."oh ya did did ya?" The guy didnt sound like a hater to me ?? I dont understand gay - much, I cant understand not being extremely attracted to women. And sexually attracted to woman. I understand being born more fem than masc but both exist anyhow, so no I dont understand it. I have had some concern about it being fadish or easier. Im guessing but Im think mention of recuiting had more to do with influencing rather than sex with children. I know I do prefer to hang with my friends and woman mostly scare me from a hang out stand point. Not the case with my "wife" however, we are best buds and hang out all the time, sometimes with my wang out. On the other hand guys creep me out from a sexual stand point, thus where the word queer came from, it gives straight people a queer feeling and it really does, if your not straight please believe me its a very queer feeling. Of course this was found to be insulting so the word gay was applied. It works for me. Would any of you like to offer any evaluation of why a woman does not make your mouth water ? I just cant understand that, really. Ive made a life studying the female body, to the point where I could be called a pig for my gauking but I tell people I do the same with mountain ranges and fine automobiles. So really, woman just dont have this effect on gay men ? How come ? The curves are just so wonerful ;-)

Yea I'd love a old V12 250, 275 or 330 Ferrari with a gated 5 speed but Im afraid I missed the boat on that one. In todays Ferrari world the wealthy potential buyers are probably very excited about getting that F1 tranny. Someone should check out the Cobalt CanAM thread and see where a FWD Chevy is holding its own against BMW's and other RWD competitors on the tracks across America. Not that Im pro FWD only Im just not into all the bashing that is directed at many many cars I love and drive - happily. Non stop bashing, barfing, downing drivers of as being incompetent, acting like one knows some secret driving knowledge that anyone happy with their FWD doesnt have, talking about torque steer like its some uncontrolable dangerous phenom and all the compounded bull shit we have had to endure is just that BullShit. Just today this old boy planted a solid 20 feet off both tires while turning slight left and crossing bridge. Reaching over 60 before the turn just across. i must be one hell of a driver because I damn near lost her - yarite ! It did exactly as it was told and did it swiftly and its a softly sprung 3800lb 4 dr fully loaded family sedan that is unstopable in a snow storm. I should just go hang my head in shame - ey ? Get over it Sly, we dont insult you, your driving or your cars because much like we recieve it would be alot of BullShit ! ;-)

Really, what Opel would be FWD ecotec ? I think this is the first GM in this Cup Series in a few years. I never thought of previous tuning done on same platform in other events. I just have American on the brain. Well once again they are running well with the pack and this is the Cobalts first year in the Grand Am Cup series and its FWD

Yes indeed with this same type of shower they could rinse off 4 Amsterdam "ladies" at a pop

Its front wheel drive and has beaten the various 3 series BMWs more than once. Many of the Bmws have been on the circuit for a few years. I was inspired to look into this on account of the Solstice/Miata review topic. I beleive when push comes to shove the Solstice will do alittle shoving of its own. I beleive Acura was doing well in this circuit a few years back. It just goes to prove that GM tec is on target. Hopefully they will learn from and apply some of the developement the teams have done to the suspension of the Cobalt. I should fairly make note that BMW run pretty much stock while many others need lightweight body panels and other allowable mods. This link is the rules, go to GA Cup Series it will help identify the cars in the series as well as allowable modifications. SS got a SC pully change too. http://grandamerican.com/Competition/Rules.asp

ST class - currently 1. Mazda 2. BMW 3. Chevy 4. Acura 5. Mini Cooper 6. Dodge 7. Nissan 8. Audi 9. Honda Cobalt has 3 Victories 1 2nd 3 5ths 1 6th 1 7th Not bad for a first year front wheel driver

Well in no time these cars will be on the tracks competeing each other, then we'll know. Im sure the Solstice will be keeping pace with the Miatas. The Miata following has many years of racing experience and tuning behind their cars. Solstice will hold its ground, GM needs to stand tall for this car just like it has the Corvette and CTS. It will prove ! The more and more GM and GM fans embaress these dumb ass journalists they will begin to walk the walk rather than just talk the talk. Great post FOG thanks for putting the time into the the breakdown and eval Great post kiljoy - how did you say all that ? Excellent job.

This has been a real problem for women. Its a good idea, I personally will go out of my way to never have to use a toilet outside of my home. Unfortuanatly for women this is not an option they must go and sit, its gotta suck. I wonder how many here know the condition for the typical womans restroom because they are in there struggling to get the job done and not sit ? Dont I feel dumb for not being the one to create this invention so I could get rich exploiting the labor of some turd world country. We used to have a paper industry in this country but is down to a fraction. So now we leave paper quality forest products to waste and rot on the forest floor. Little pink houses for you and me.

Heres a 67 Delta 88 Custom cool photo 68 Delmont 88 Holiday Coupe Apprehender L32 390hp 455 with heavy duty suspension + other police "stuff", torque was probably still near 500lbft but I dont see any figure on it I can deal with this 68 Delmont 88 convertable w/Crager SS BTW http://442.com/ is an awsome site for much Olds info, incase nobody found it yet. The "car show" or "Virtual Car show" is pretty good, mostly Cutlass and 442 but some other models. If you want to know about engines go to FAQ. If you want to buy a nice 442 or Cutlass go to classified B)

Thanks Harley I knew you would come up with something. The red one isnt doing it for me, its too big and too red, misisng all its trim probably doesnt help. I bet that stuff is hard to find ! These were the great fastback years. Even the Impala looked sporty. This has the W shaped front like the 66-67 Riviera and many GMs during this period. I think it is a much better front than the plainer lights and grill found on earlier years. Im kinda undecided on the 70 Delta 88 too, its OK but this is far better. LeSabre had a few not so great years too. I have never seen one of these at a car show, never, always Chevelles, Camaros, Mustangs, Novas and 30's Fords - so theres only one of those cars Im interested in.

I like standards too - sometimes but automatics have their benefits Reving anytime and between gears? - is this a Harley Davidson kind of thing ? Feathering the clutch ? - this is to increase the rate of ware ? Ive drivin alot, trucks, sports cars, machinery you name it. A Fuller Roadranger be it a 8sp or a 15 you shift without the clutch, by the end of the day you swear if you ever had to shift one more time you would scream. I can take them back down through the gears for slowing with left foot on the brake and right on throttle (no clutch) becasue you do need to match engine RPM with tranny shaft RPM. I could also heal and toe on a sports car thats built for it, but I never remember feathering the clutch or reving anyol'time, sounds like a Harley guy at the gas pumps  I watch alot of WRC and GP and road racing and that tap shift looks like the greatest thing since user friendy women.

Ive seen worse pimped out rides than this. Cars with shag carpet on the dashes and everywhere else. I wouldnt want anything like this but I did want to put a mural of a waving American flag, upside down around the drivers side rear quarter and trunk, with the words from Steppenwolfs Monster on the trunk......then on the passenger side a mural of a run down industrial area of America.......then on the hood/fenders a mural of the smoking trade centers....on my '76 Oldsmobile. I wont tell you what I want painted on the gas tank. Probably wont do it but I sure would like to.

That did it for me. I aint never leaving home again. Did someone forget to move the tool box ? I could do these all day long, man this is one ugly car :P got any saturin photos to make me smile :D

Yea thanks, Marauder. So what happened with it ?

1-5 all non GM engines Im the winner !
-
yea, hes a little nuts with no reserve, at least should be at 1500-2000 but it does need a complete tear down and redue. Thats alot of work = manhours. Still at 750 someone should be OK if they dont need to ship it far.
