    I loved the Kappa Nomad, but it was never seriously considered for production. The intent of my topic was to think about what didn't happen due to our economic disaster and GM's bankruptcy. The plans that "Old GM" had that now will never be.

    The guy that was buying the Silverado showed the agreement we were going to have notarized to his lawyer. As lawyers do, he scared the guy right out of a perfectly good deal. I hate the times we live in.

    One thing I hope GM is keeping in its back pocket is the Hummer HX concept. The concept was brilliant and spot-on for what I see as a vulnerable portion of the market. I just hope it doesn't get tossed to the wolves with the Hummer brand. GM needs to keep it for themselves.

    Stylewise, you hit the nail on the head. To be fair, it would have had the dinky wheels in reality (and probably in brushed aluminum instead of chrome). See MDM, I'm not picking on you.

    ...just how much things have changed in less than a year. If the world had not blown-up, the G8ST would just now be hitting the market. And I'd be trying to figure out how to come-up with the money. I'd also be willing to bet that Saturn would have been gaining some sales back by now. The Solstice coupe would have been a pretty hot property too, I'd think. What else have we lost? What could/would have been?

    It was a ton of footage of the Ute in action, without sound I couldn't tell you what the voiceover was saying - but the visuals were great! Looked like a montage that might be used as a backdrop for the announcement rather than coverage of the comparo to me.

    OK this has gone off-track. The point I've been trying to make here is that the negative impact of this ought to be recognized. It's real. And no, I intended no argument. I just want everyone to understand how this episode has impacted some of the membership.
